Both authors have loads of podcasts and YT vids, including esp @ PCOS. Dr. Nadia reversed her own symptoms.
For some people, longer fasts than AD can be counter productive, the keys to managing PCOS are keeping insulin AND cortisol low. Cortisol can be released as a counter-regulatory hormone on longer fasts. Experiment and see which group you fall into. One of the benefits of ADF for me was the consistency, I did not do longer fasts as consistently but I have done them without any issue. My symptoms pretty much reversed, so it is defo worth a try.

100 carbs tops i would guess if you train regularly.
50 carbs tops if you're training and trying to lose fat. (you can eat less. depends how hard uyou go in the gym. if just like the average person then 20 carbs should be tops)

stupid simple macros app lets you adjust your macros. while you're adjusting one it will adjust the others accordingly for you.

As to the gout stuff, I've been taking a product called Life Tones, designed to neutralized Uric Acid which causes Gout. In the few months I've been taking it, all of the minor aches and pains have disappeared completely. I used to go from one to the other, non stop. Now absolutely zero. Still waiting for a random pain to surface so I can see if it directly fixes it.

Didn't feel any hunger after the first week, its all about getting your body fat adapted. You will feel like you have no energy, but after 3 weeks, you will have energy. I would start out just skipping one day of food, refeed no carb, then do a 48, refeed no carb, then do a 72, refeed no carb, then 5day, refeed no carb, then start this rolling 7 day challenge indefinitely.

I've tried raw sheep / cow milk, fermented foods, more diets and supplements than you can shake a stick at over the last 14 years. There's no local butcher, but I get Dorset meat / Farm2Fork for my husband when I can as he is in poor health. Besides when I was following a raw food diet, eating 1-2lbs a day of blended greens (we share 96% of DNA with gorillas who eat almost exclusively greens) the best my physical and mental health has been was when I was following a Barbara Cousins' diet which seemed very sensible and balanced. And I tend to agree with Cole. Multivitamins just create expensive urine. I feel way better taking no supplements, than I do taking them. I take only vitamin d3 in the winter, and I’m going to experiment getting off that too.
Magnesium really helps on the 3rd and 4th day of fasting. I do 1/8th tsp per 500ml. Good luck.
The main idea with the snake diet is maximizing the time you fast for the health benefits, it just happens that most people are overweight so weightloss is a top priority as well. The snake diet at its core is basically fasting as long as you can as frequently as possible, which for lean people usually works out to being OMAD + a 48 hour fast on the weekends sometimes.
Any salt intake is really just about hitting the recommended daily amount. With doing OMAD it's not really necessary to drink snake juice as long as your getting your necessary intake of potassium / sodium / magnesium. For example Cole did a month of no water or snake juice eating bacon and cucumbers.
For people who fast longer, one of the main reasons to use snake juice is that electrolyte deficiencies are pretty dang dangerous. Water fasting without potassium and sodium can be fatal largely due to a potassium deficiency causing heartbeat problems. That and you just kinda feel crappy without the electrolytes.

There are electrolyte tablets you can buy, but they only contain a small amount of potassium(40mg).
I usually have between 1000 to 2000 mg of potassium chloride per day with water, so you'd have to take quite a few of those in order to get more than a minimal amount of potassium. They're tablets are coated, so that probably helps.
My opinion is that it's easier to just dial back the snake juice recipe to make it more palatable, and add a small bit of acid(I use lemon) to take any remaining edge off. I use way less salts than I used to, and I feel just fine. A little squirt of lemon(I actually use crystallized lemon now) isn't enough to ruin a fast, IMO. If I've been told correctly, the OG snake juice recipe included lemon juice, but we all know that Cole takes everything to extremes so that's probably why he got rid of it. I'd rather take a single calorie every day and consistently want to drink the snake juice than get sick of it after a few days.
EDIT: I'm guessing that the reason that the potassium in capsules may still cause stomach issues even when taken with water is that the salt will settle at the bottom of the stomach. Maybe drinking more water a few minutes after swallowing would help, but it's not worth it to me to try it.
