http://www.thefreedictionary.com/definitive
The second and third definitions of "definitive" are what I meant there, that the definition of mechanics is not conclusive, authoritative, or complete. But I agree it sounds a little weird.
Thanks for the input, and I hope the guide helps you!
I've already done all the rebinding work for you, download this and put it in your documents/sc2/accounts/###/hotkeys folder. It uses the standard unit keys for move, hold position and attack move etc, the abilities have been moved to qwer and the build commands use the grid setup. It's extremely efficient and supposedly used by idra/tyler a couple other pros.
I'm not fully familiar with the normal timing of stargate play off of FFE, but it seems to me that if you wanted to have 4 voids by the 6 minute mark not only would you have to blindly do that and hope I took a fast third (as opposed to the equally viable roach/ling all-in vs FFE), but you'd likely have to sacrifice so much economy/ground army that if it didn't kill me, you would be behind.
I do know that I generally take my third at around 5min (which is pretty standard), and generally stargate play off of FFE is arriving with a void ray and a phoenix around the time the third is finishing, which would be at around 6:30 or so. So if you were having 4 void rays out at 6:00, you would have to be blindly going double stargate off of 1base with a fairly all-in number of probes. Obviously if you didn't expand, I wouldn't take a fast third, and if you did expand, I think it would delay the void rays longer than the 6 minute mark.
EDIT: I took the liberty of looking up some data. Using this spreadsheet: Timings
You can click the names of the specific builds on the bottom to see more specific timings, suffice to say that to have 4 void rays by 6 minutes you would need to do something very extreme such as cutting probes at 19, building no cannons, and building no army. In that case, I would have probably 30 or 40 drones on 2base with the third morphing, I would have scouted that you made no cannons/army and probably tried a runby, and definitely put down a 5:30 evo, meaning even if you cancel my third, I can just get spores/queens up to defend my main/nat and transition into a standard 3rd timing since I already have nearly double the workers.
I know I need glasses (a little near sighted) and I use a 24" @ 1920x1200 and I didn't have problems reading it.
..
Ok searched around a bit and I think the reason the font is so small is because its pretty standard for that CMS system (e107).
If it keeps happening.. run it through SC2Gears. There's a realtime -> game time converter so you can find out exactly where it happened. I checked myself but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Another Diamond Zerg:
One thing i would note pch0mey is that with some of the 7/8 gate builds you cannot afford to tech. a lot of pros favor getting roaches with speed, +1, and burrow as with almost all these builds p has no robo. and only teching if its safe (with the exception of putting down infestation pit as soon as feasibly possible with the blink stalker timing).
With the above build Phate describes its double gas at 6 minutes, evo and roach warren at 7. Some take third at 26-28 i prefer to take third at about 32 supply. With the above build i build a queen at main, queen at natural, another queen at natural, queen at 3rd so i have 3 larva queens and one for creep tumors. To prepare for the 4 gate push you start building roaches at 8 minutes (smart to select the larva at your must vulnerable hatchery and build them there). Don't be afraid to make several spines, as well, but don't go overboard.
You use first 100 gas for ling speed, then lair, then +1 ranged. I don't know the gas timings on the 3/4/5/6th gases but when you are morphing lair you should be getting them and should have all 6 at least started by 9 minutes? (not sure on that).
Lately I have been doing a build day9 featured (above) from liquid zenio. I hate roaches in the early game and this build has both 3 base and 2 base versions so I'm getting comfortable reading situations. It is earlier speed to prevent four gate, then hydra ling vs. any two base push. The build works out so you have enough gas to get a spire at same time as hydra den so if they try to macro you have muta option and if they try to push you hold with hydra ling and then have all the options in the world.
