The answers to your question can be found in the Death Star Owner's Manual. Yes, it's a real book.
It is still listed on Amazon but with no track listing as far as I can see.
I really doubt the track listing would be available yet. Considering how well of a job they kept everything under wraps.
George was heavily influenced by Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. Jedi are the space equivalent of samurai in terms of weapons, fighting styles, clothing, code of honor and values (like discipline).
"Vater" is German for "father". The names have meaning. George even says this in a 2005 interview.
I would like invite you in a journey through the explicit Palp fics of AO3
Hell yeah! I’ve got a bit of Scottish ancestry and that place straight up calls to me...both my sisters have Red hair too, except me. Secretly adopted probably lol. r/FunnyAndSad tastic right there hehe.
I love Limmy’s Show...my favourites are the DeeDee skits...just this blazed out Glasgow stoner having these massive internal dialogues and going on surreal adventures. Fuck yes.
It’ll definitely be an acquired taste for some. Also never have subtitles been more appreciated hehe.
Update: it’s on Netflix!
Have no fear! /u/pinktini is here! MA-rated Ruke fics! enjoy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
PJ Eddie, just think of it this way....
>No one goes against a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line!
Day then night, darkness then light, fixing it through gray Jedi sight
Paraphrase of a poem on the Whills. Also in the Mortis arc, Father (wisdom) wanted Anakin (chosen one) to take his place keeping his Daughter (light) and Son (dark) in balance. Anakin was definitely a gray Jedi at that point in TCW.
So while some people here don't understand it, it basically means this It is straight out of Ecclesiastics. Word for word.
A mirror of Kylo's scene with Han, but with Leia. A narrow passage between dark and light, but this time he's finally able to cross it. Something like this.
Leia who started as a princess in distress, saving the light in the end.
Rotten Tomatoes has a large collection of reviews from when the movie came out (look for those dated Jan 1, 2000). Critical opinion was heavily split.
Reminds me of something I actually heard in a dream (yeah, I'm a nerd) awhile back.
I tried to put it down on a free music program, you can listen to it here: https://flat.io/score/584a0506e6f57224db6d9d04-sanctum
The droning low tones should be continuous, not stop and start like they do, it was just a limitation of the program used. But you can hear that Kylo's theme and the Imperial March pair very well.
Finally, the official word! I don't know whether I should get the movie on Amazon as a digital movie with bonus content or the Target Bluray DVD set. If " Digital bonus offerings may vary by retailer" will I miss anything if I use Amazon?
His take on Monomyth seems more like it's been filtered through Christopher Vogler's screenwriting handbook version, The Writer's Journey, especially since Vogler is a Hollywood person and has been consulting on scripts for ages. Abrams' movies never really seem to capture the vibe of how Joseph Campbell describes Act 2 and 3, but consistently matches up with Vogler's version. The really telling bit so far is that Vogler is huge on having the "watering hole" moment in the opening of Act 2, which of course what Abrams calls Maz Kanata's scene when they go from Jakku to Takodona.
I think making Kylo and Han the heart of the story just to fit it into the father/son motif doesn't make sense for the rest of the story. There's no reason to think that within the way that Star Wars usually does Monomyth or how Abrams has done his previous movies that the Hero won't be Rey or Finn (most likely Rey). Vogler also provides tons of examples of female characters going through the Hero's Journey and confronting elements of their past and of parental authority.
Kyber - I can work with that.
Cane: it would appear to be more than just a baton and a staff…it is also, apparently, a knife: https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Black-Luthen-6-Inch-Scale/dp/B09WWYMPYR?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I read this book a while ago-it goes into great detail on the early development-

But the tldr is that anakin and Vader were different characters, at least in a new hope. Only after its massive success, did Lucas map out the rest of the mythology and make them related. Even Luke and Leia weren’t related until after Empire — during the writing of Jedi.
That book is an easy read—if you’re interested in any of the backstory, I highly recommend it.
Yeah, the difference in BB-8's voicing has been pretty apparent. Here's a great clip ripped from the Sphero app of the Celebration and Code.org style voice, courtesy of /u/jboob999
The second death star was 160km or ~99.5 miles. But your point is still valid. Besides, what happens to the planet when the star is gone and where do they get the energy for anymore stots.

You have taken what I have said a little out of context, but it doesn't help that I wrote it poorly. George Lucas didn't like what she did with the sequels is what I was trying to make out of it, not that she didn't like her specifically. You can see it in his interview with Charlie Rose (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jWtbJxzGpQ), you can also read a lot more what Lucas was thinking in The Star Wars Archives. 1999–2005 (https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Archives-1999-2005/dp/3836563444). Im sorry you read my response wrong and you don't have to be rude about it. I would encourage you to read this book, as it is good, and to do more research before you start attacking people on Reddit.
Except in George's sequels Anakin was supposed to return to guide his children & grandchildren. Anakin tied the saga together. That's the real reason why George changed Sebastian Shaw to Hayden Christensen in the special edition. He was supposed to come back but Disney threw that out along with Lucas' plans.
And by the way Qui Gon was also supposed to return as a proper voice in both Episodes 2&3 further expanding on force ghosts. Unfrortunately Liam Neeson couldn't do it so it was left as a brief conversation. Maybe we'll hear him in the Obi Wan mini series instead.
Read this book for more on how Lucas made the saga & his dropped sequel trilogy ideas.

Lucas has always said his saga was about the Anakin (the father) Luke & Leia (the children) & then Anakin's grandchildren.

From Empire onwards he'd intended a 9 or 12 part saga telling the full story of the Skywalkers. Over time it was condensed down.

Hey all, we'll be hosting this question about Anakin Skywalker on our app tonight at 8pm uk time, join in to have a say on a new platform which utilises live one on one discussions. Think of talk radio without a host.

That's too bad! And that does sound like a weird semester, lol. I was fortunate enough to attend a uni that offered everything from poultry science to the history of Chinese philosophy. I actually wrote my final paper for that class in relation to Star Wars, hehe. My professor was adamant that we didn't purchase ANY books, so we printed out his favorite versions of translated texts... For the purpose of studying Star Wars, there's a lot of interesting stuff in the Tao Te Ching, The Art of War, I Ching, the works of Mozi, and the works of Mencius.
No problem!
I agree with the important of nuance with Kylo and the Knights of Ren. It has been stated Kylo can manipulate both the dark and light sides of the Force, so that will probably come into play as well.
I think the Force vision was designed to be intentionally confusing; not only does the POV change, but the vision also shifts between the past (Rey being left on Jakku, Bespin, Luke and R2-D2) and the future (Kylo and Rey in the forest). There IS supposed to be a rain scene in TLJ, so maybe the scene where Kylo rescues someone will be explained?
My university had a record enrollment of a little over 500 people and offered degrees where you had to outsource to other (more expensive) colleges to finish up your coursework...I own The Art of War and have found that Musashi Miyamoto's Book of Five Rings --Japanese but still relevant-- works as a good lens into Jedi philosophy. I will have to look into the others and will most likely resort to Project Gutenburg in the end. ;)
I agree with the Force vision being purposely confusing, but I feel that there is something there that I'm just missing. A thought on the tip of my cerebral tongue, so to speak. What would be interesting is if it's actually psychometry and the lightsaber was present at all points of the vision. (Damn you, Quinlan Vos...)
