Double-check everything in the bungee guide: https://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/bungeecord-installation/
And the bungee guard guide: https://github.com/lucko/BungeeGuard/blob/master/INSTALLATION.md
I'm assuming you are on a shared host in which case you will not have control of the firewall. If you do, close off the ports to everything but the proxy.
Failing all of that, check your plugins. Don't pirate plugins as they often include backdoors.
Here’s how I would do it, although there may be better ways:
/worldborder set 500 0
). If you would prefer to have the square surrounded by void, create a void world, save your 500x500 area as a WorldEdit schematic and paste it in the new world. I've used Realistic World Generator in the past and its as amazing as people say. You can customize literally everything.
For the most jaw-dropping terrain, Terraforged is the way to go. I've found you need at least 16 render distance to begin to appreciate it though. Otherwise things just look really flat and boring.
I really love the vehicles plugin in my opinion its really fun and the dev finally started to work on this plugin more after like a year or so of inactivity.
I've been trying to make self hosting easier by working on a tool that removes the need for port forwarding. I also have a guide built for setting up a server with the tool https://playit.gg/guides/minecraft
