If you want a better flashlight and are willing to drain your wallet, head over to r/flashlights for a much better experience. There are enthusiast grade flashlights with open source control software (Anduril UI) that are way better than what is available in the average consumer flashlight for about the same price. The Sofirn SC31 Pro is one such flashlight. The previous link is to Amazon if you want fast delivery, but you can save a good deal by buying from Sofirn directly as long as you are willing to wait for the slow boat from China: https://sofirnlight.com/sc31ro-2000-lumen-rechargeable-flashlight-with-battery-p0134.html
The android e-ink is either the coolest thing or totally stupid, i'm not sure which. Can it really function as a useful android? or is it just an overly complicated reader?
I'll give one specific example. I have an elm327 code reader. with torque android software. It can be frustrating reading fine print on the phone in direct sunlight.
The graphics are probably too slow to see a needle sweep, but for most things single frames a second would be enough.
Check out This. There are ones for different styles.
It's almost certainly not the reason behind their existence, but there is a keyed inline power switch that uses the holes to ensure that the plug isn't just removed and the switch bypassed.
Yep, the only difference between an AC and a heat pump is a reversing valve.

I think this is a great opportunity to plug BIFL (Buy It For Life) Can Opener Thread. They like the EZ-DUZ-IT amazon.
I use this one that looks similar to the patent. It's absolutely wonderful and has a little grabber on the side so you don't have to even touch the newly cut lid
Over the last few years I've spent more hours trying to find C7 ceramic/opaque glass bulbs with warm white filament LEDs than I'd like to admit. I finally found some and so far they're great. I'm half tempted not to share because they're almost out and I need a few more sets. Color: C7led Multi Colored <-- only this color are LED, the others are traditional incandescent. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JLYK27S
Regarding lights, I found some string lights on amazon. They're not airways obvious, but you're looking for individually addressable leds. I'm in the UK but this is a cheap option I've got working https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B093Q7K2YF/
As for controller I use a raspberry pi pico because I mainly write my own python code. Open the end, cut the data wire and solder to the pico, connect a shared ground, and optionally power too but be careful not to back power the USB host while programming it.
It's a prime example of one of those apps that's so simple, yet so good, and so game changing, it makes you scratch your head as to why it isn't already built-in as the default. I can always immediately tell when I log into a new system and it's missing this app. Especially frustrating if I'm trying to troubleshoot audio issues on someone else's machine! It's a staple Windows app for me. No installation of it is complete without this app, much like I refuse to have a browser without uBlock Origin on it.
Another app you might dig is Microsoft PowerToys, which adds few useful new tools and plug-ins for the default Windows Shell experience. Fancy Zones is an especially popular feature, though my personal favorite is "PowerToys Run," which adds an almost-macOS-Spotlight-Search to Windows.
Inspired by this video, I just bought the cheap bucket humidifier and modified it to be self-filling with this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088WP9K6D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Has the added bonus of not overfilling and reducing the surface area of the wick.
If anyone else is interested, the book mentioned in the video is available on Amazon but it's currently $40.
Has anyone else read it? It seems like a fascinating book.
Searching for "cassette" and "MP3 player" may be far too generic to get any usable results, but I tried searching for "cassette" along with a few other features only common on modern MP3 players, and that worked!
Searching eBay for "cassette" and "sd card" brings up a couple of the cassette MP3 players, which all have the word "Telecontrol" in the titles, as an odd translation for "remote control". An eBay search for "telecontrol cassette" brings up a few of them.
Searching Amazon for the same brings up booty shorts, because Amazon and search don't get along, but searching Google for "site:amazon.com telecontrol cassette" brings up the same thing sold there.
