I used a coarse buffer wheel on a Dremel and did this to all the chrome plates, trem, bridge, screws...everything shiny on my Jaguar build. I hate shiny chrome. They worked extremely well.

Then pretty much upgraded everything to get it how I wanted it.
That is really nice. I have one with a wooden pickguard too and I found I needed to protect it. I got this thin clear stick on material that works like a charm.

I bought a 52 AVRI that the previous owner had installed an Electrosocket input jack cup. I will install this in any Telecaster I buy.

I’d have to see what yours look like but chances are they are the trapezoid style tuners. However, i think you can buy aftermarket versions of those as well on Amazon.

If yours look like these, these should fit and work fine. I put a set of those on my brother in laws squier when I rebuilt it and they fit and worked perfectly.
Gotoh 6 saddle modern tele bridge. I went from a really expensive Callaham compensated traditional 3 saddle bridge to that, and never looked back. I didnt notice a drop off in tone or sustain at all, and now I can actually intonate my damn guitar...
I am going to reverse the controls, for me it’s the only way to have them. And the strap locks are kinda huge I suppose but they’re these marvel/plunger/flat-top types and I love em. I’ve put the style on all my electrics and haven’t ever had any issues and with my gorilla sized paws they’re perfect.
Yessir, screw holes should line up. I just got it off Amazon

Hey mate it's just this

Unfortunately you'll need to drill new holes for it and your pickup routes might show out the side of the bridge, depending how big they were routing the cavity that day. All the best!
Fender actually makes one like that for their teles that come with an s1 switch. Search for S1 tele knob
Yea the ladies love them. The guitar gets more more attention from them than I do at shows.
I got it off of a third party seller on Amazon called Rockin Billy guitar parts. There was quite a few designs on there. Pretty much all of them are tacky as he'll, but this one is so tacky it's cool.

Mine was already string through but the top screw holes lined up so that’d put you in the right spot to know where to drill

It wasn’t exactly drop in, it required drilling some new holes. Mine was string through so I just lined up the string holes with the bridge and drilled for the 4 bottom screws and I filled in the existing 3 screw holes which the bottom of the bridge almost covers, with the ashtray cover on you can’t see them at all. The top screw holes just about matched up enough to use again.
I've bought several Musiclily pick guards from Amazon. Never had an issue with them.
They're generally called hex-head set screws. Check these out.
Graphtech Nut and String Tree currently $20 shipped via Amazon
I've had luck with Vintage Forge parts - they make everything for Telecasters in Chrome, Gold, and Black.
Pay attention to little details -
Example: a Bullet Telecaster Pickguard has screw holes at the neck pickup matching most Fender Telecasters, but the Affinity Telecaster does not.
Both the Affinity and Bullet have Bridge screw holes so a replacement bridge may require drilling to fit.
Just a fender 3 saddle bridge. Bought off amazon for about 70 cad

Thank you for your referral, cover!
I looked at those carefully and decided I might as well try non-metal at first. So I ended up ordering a set of these (they are non-compensated though):
While we're on the subject of cases I feel obligated to plug the Gator dual electric soft case.
Not the cheapest case in the world but if you're doing light gigging (see not throwing your shit into a trailer to get slammed around by large rack cases) and are bringing 2 guitars this thing is fantastic.
Loads of pockets, incredibly soft yet supportive interior for both guitars, and with the backpack straps it keeps your hands free to carry more shit making loadin quicker. Cost less than replacing both of my beat up hardcases.
I particularly like being able to slide in a small amp modeler box in the front pocket and have everything I need for a quick gig strapped on my back. Really useful for ugly lowbudget festival type gigs where there isn't a secure place to store your gear and load-in is a nightmare.
There's even a pocket on the backside with a fitted rain poncho that goes over the whole thing should you get caught in the rain.
