>I’ve heard there’s some oil you can use in it
Do NOT use oil. Use grease. Super Lube synthetic grease works great. It’s food safe grade, like the grease that initially comes with the Handy. Apply it with a Q-tip, per the instructions on Handy’s website. You can get it at Harbor Freight:
https://www.harborfreight.com/85-gram-super-lube-grease-cartridge-93744.html
Or Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-Translucent-Automotive-Accessories/dp/B000XBH9HI?th=1&psc=1
On the Handy discord, someone rigged something up with a tablet holder like this one: https://www.amazon.com/ieGeek-Adjustable-Foldable-Cellphone-Aluminum/dp/B01KV52T1Q
I tried a cheaper, flimsier version with spider legs, but it didn’t work. I’ve been meaning to try the nicer aluminum one. I think the horizontal legs make it very stable for the Handy.
u/project_rhythm's post about machine learning
I have finally come up with a mount that lets me use the handy in bed, sitting down or standing up without tons of setup.
This is so much better than the phone holder I was using before and only a few pounds more expensive
After many people suggested I invest in some zipties I realised that theHandy's sleek black plastic is very slippery. Naturally this led me to create the rubber band monstrosity you see before you. I'm very happy with it and don't think I'll bother upgrading any further unless a catastrophic flaw in my design reveals itself.
Someone on the discord came up with a nice solution that is really solid. I have built it myself and it works well. It costs about $35 to build from two products on Amazon.
I don't want to take credit for it. It was designed by a guy named wall3y.
Get these two items:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FB7WFCT https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FPHQZ6V
Basically, you mount the bottle holder on one side of the VESA bracket. You may need to drill an extra hole in the bottle holder to get both in the VESA alignment. Use screws with matching nuts.
The Handy fits well in the plastic holder but you may need to Dremel the edges of the arms a bit to fit better, and the spot where the power cord goes.
You can see pictures from me and wall3y in the #handy-customizations channel on the discord.

this is what i use, came with some rubber feet thingies that you can use to pad the clamp, then you can just clamp it to your desk. (you do need to cut into one of the arms a bit to free the power plug, additionally you need to trim the arms by ~3-5 mm so the slide works) i assume all this can be done with a household scissor tho. (for additional stability fold some cardboard and put it between the holder and the handy at the lowest point
I've used this several times and it's working great. You just have to be careful about how tight you clamp it in. Everything is movable and adjustable, so there are many possibilities...
https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-83-069M-Maxsteel-Multi-Angle-Base/dp/B000UOJF66
I used this iPad stand, connected to the handy with double-sided tape between the arm and the handy to keep it from sliding, some aluminum tape to hold it steady, and zip ties to really secure it. I offset where I attached it so I could access the controls.
I've tried it laying down and standing up and it works, but my favorite position for it is sitting down with my desk in front of me. It clamps to my desk quickly and easily and it holds it's position very firmly but it can also be adjusted on the fly.
It depends, certain coconut oil is okay for toys. I’m using it quite a bit, it’s less messy and I haven’t had an issue yet. I had the same issue. You may need to clean the drive screw and re-lube it. Mine works like new after this.
I used isopropyl on cotton balls and swabs to clean it. I used food grade silicon grease to re-lube. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CI88AZ4/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
$35 for a glorified tripod lens mount ring after MONTHS of development. AND you have the audacity to mark it down to $30 as if that's some incredible savings.

Surely you can't expect customers to praise you for this?
Here you go. You need a few rounds of vinyl electral tape around the Handy to get a tight fit.

Contains a tiny amount of silicone so it lasts long time but does not cost five dollah.
A lot of the cheaper smaller amazon sleeves that are just waves tend to be lower intensity.
If you are looking to extend your sessions and are just very sensitive to sleeves I suggest either getting a numbing lotion or a orgasm inhibiting gel. Numbing lotions work well, takes effect within a few minutes and it's still a very enjoyable experience, apply just enough so that you reduce sensation without killing sensation.
The other option, orgasm inhibiting gels of which I've only ever seen one brand, are pretty great because they don't numb at all, they take a long time to work, 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the person, but they delay the orgasm while leaving you with full sensation. It seems to work a little different for everyone so you'll have to try it several times to figure out how much to use, how long to wait, and if you should only apply to the tip or the shaft too but it's great. Do be careful not to over apply it or it will literally make it impossible to finish. I've been using it for years both with toys and my wife and it works great, and leaves no taste so oral is still on the table. I can make a session last an hour or two if i want with this. https://www.amazon.com/Edge-Delay-Ultimate-Staying-Power/dp/B06XKQTDTH

Much easier to take in and out, might switch to the new 2nd gen strap by the handy tho.
Thanks u/RealcumberScripts! I wasn't having any luck with a vise, but this is perfect. I got the Handy, scripts, Gun Oil, and now this setup thanks to all your suggestions lol. I attached mine to this overbed desk on wheels for easier in-bed use (a little pricy though)
You could try out this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kaffesoft.tugbud
it lets you draw scripts with your finger and you can also import your own scripts into the app.
It delays ejactulation without numbing at all so you can enjoy it. It's a bit finicky to figure out how much you need to use and how long to wait after application before trying anything (works best for me to wait 90 minutes or so), but once you figure it out it works great.
I bought a pack of these over a year ago and I’m only on the second one right now, since the first one lasted about a year: https://www.amazon.com/Trilancer-Elastic-Anti-Slip-Multipurpose-Extension/dp/B097BG9Q9F/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=1ZGIJZ6SFXQB4&keywords=trilancer&qid=1656873478&sprefix=trilancer%2Caps%2C379&sr=8-5

This is what i use just attach it to your desk. Be careful not to squeeze the machine too tight in the vise or you might break it.
The part isn't necessary, but is used to connect an additional Lens collar for more support. The original image is a slightly different setup using only 1 lens collar connected to the top of theHandy AFAIK. Hope this helps!
This is the one I use - simple but effective. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Merge-VR-Goggles-Adjustable-Comfortable-Purple/dp/B015CD6NVE
You mean this one right? https://www.amazon.com/Trilancer-Anti-Slip-Silicone-Multipurpose-Extension/dp/B08PK7ZXBX
I'm from the US so this one shows up and the measurement is different from the one you have but its the same company.
I replaced the stock strap with 2 of these and it works great. LuBanSir Cinch Straps, 1" x 6" (10 Pack) Elastic Hook and Loop Fastening Cable Strap for Extension Cord, Cable, Cord Wrap and Hose Organization and Storage https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B7VXS6Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XS94519HPF4RFXMM8BJN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Ahh yeah the stock strap isn't the greatest. I use these:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B097BG9Q9F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I can't use the quickshot in the case on the handy because it's painfully tight. But I still can use the stock strap and not have mechanical issues with sleeve only. I usually do my thing for a bit and get hard/turned on, then strap in, and if I lose it a bit half way for whatever reason, I just lower the stroke zone with the buttons so I don't slip out - It's not something I'm fighting at all anymore it's totally natural now, maybe the elastic velcro type strap will hook you up better.
Just commenting (6 months later) as a new handy user that this solution works amazingly. The first solution I tried was a gooseneck tablet holder, which gets recommended a lot. I found it really awkward and barely worth the time to get everything lined up perfect, especially since I'm not going to just leave it clamped to my desk.
I had already read this post when I tried that, but was worried this would be too complicated. When I wasn't a fan of that method, I bought all the stuff for this and I can say it's 10x better. I followed the instructions step by step and it wasn't really that difficult - and most importantly - it's no more awkward to take out/put away than the handy already was.
If it's too loose or tight, it's easily adjustable even in VR. If you need to angle it away from or towards your body, you can just tighten the waist harness for toward, or the leg harnesses for away. Because of this, it truly works in any position. TBH, if Handy makes an official hands-free solution, it should be something like this.
Not sure if OP is still active or checks this account but thank you!
As a side note, if anybody finds the harness that OP linked is sold out, this is the exact same one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VGD7CN8
Otherwise I didn't buy anything except what OP linked, and reflectix. Cardboard WOULD work, but would get dirty easier and isn't as easily shapeable while still being sturdy.
Oh and one more thing I want to mention in case it's not obvious, the sock/velcro part of this solution is COMPLETELY optional. It would work just as well without it or the reflectix, however you still need the velcro by the rings (and top of handy) to hold the handy in place.
Thanks! Its just a simple removable Ipad mount holder like this = https://www.amazon.ca/Tryone-Gooseneck-Nintendo-Samsung-Overall/dp/B01BXRDH08/ref=sr\_1\_5?crid=1TAI1ORAN78WA&keywords=ipad+mount+holder&qid=1653545797&sprefix=ipad+mount%2Caps%2C104&sr=8-5
I hated the original strap. I use these elastic straps, I cut off the plastic loop and the "leather" end, leaving only the stretchy part of the strap, then use a safety pin to secure it at the desired size.
They are elastic, so you can adjust them to a size that holds the sleeve in place when you are not fully erect, and also not be too tight when you are. A little trial and error and then once you find the exact size you like, you never need to take the strap off the handy. You just stretch the strap a little and insert the sleeve.
A quick and easy hands free solution is a simple gooseneck from amazon and some electrical tape. Not a perfect solution but cheap and works fine until the handy team comes out with the official one.
Something like that should work fine, just remove the part that is supposed to hold the tablet or phone, straighten a section and tape the handy to it.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HFBQ1MY?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_S6JTVGTJS9Y0CXAC2MJ7
Nice variety of sizes for whatever sleeve you use
Great choice. Never risk your health for your enjoyment! Here's a good suggestion, if you don't mind open ended sleeves, Try a fleshlight quick shot without the case, or try a fleshskin! Those are 100% safe to use.
Also, you can try buying a lightweight onahole if you want a closed end toy, if you know what those are. Most onahole are trusted brands, like toysheart, magic eyes, etc. Those are completely, 100% safe sleeves to use. I have one that's double sided, with a mouth and a vagina, and it works perfectly. If you want to check it out here. It's about $25, and fits well in the strap.

You WILL NOT beat the KZ series for the money.. Period. I have more speakers/headphones/IEM's/Microphones/PA Systems (probably in my bedroom alone) than anyone in this subreddit, without question and I'm telling you as an audio engineer the noise cancelling will not matter if you get properly sized IEM's. I sometimes use Jabra Evolve 75's, and my Sennheiser MB660s on the quest.. and it's nice... but when you compare it to, say, my Shure SE215's, or those that I listed above (which sound even better, for less - there are SIX drivers in those tiny things to cover a vast array of frequencies) the foam sealing to your ear cuts out the sound - you won't need noise cancellation.. if you do, it means you're wearing them incorrectly.
Don't get me wrong - noise cancellation is great for fan noise, background noise, removing notch filter-ish type crap from the environment... and if you are gonna use them in an office situation or fly a lot, it's a great investment.. but for the quest it's a waste of your money when these will sound and perform better.
Don't do it - see my posts, please. Do not waste your money on Bose... please. You don't even need noise cancelling - good earbuds are much better. https://www.amazon.com/Linsoul-Earphones-Faceplate-Detachable-Audiophile/dp/B07WTTJSCF?th=1
(Don't let the price fool you.)
(And I literally have had the Bose noise cancelling, I have 300 dollar Jabra ones, Mass Drop planar cans, am currently wearing Denon AH-D2000's, multiple IEM's, etc. and am sitting in front of a Blue Bluebird SL and Shure SM7B mic... I'm trying to do this to save you money and stop the spread of false "Bose is great" mentality.)
https://www.amazon.com/Linsoul-Earphones-Faceplate-Detachable-Audiophile/dp/B07WTTJSCF?th=1
These will be your best bet. Bar none. See my other comment for my background. The KZ ZS10 pro also sound great, but to me are large and bulky and become uncomfortable. For comfort, I love my Shure SE215's.
not necessary.. just get thes https://www.amazon.com/Linsoul-Earphones-Faceplate-Detachable-Audiophile/dp/B07WTTJSCF?th=1
I was a sound engineering major, have an audio studio, years of experience in audio visual commercial engineering, and I own every kind of amp, speaker, and headphone you can think of, including SennHeiser noice cancelling... the ear buds are the best bet.. you won't hear anything else if you size them properly. I also love the standards - the Shure se215's.. but most people prefer the sound quality of the KZ ZS 10 / ZS 10 Pro, or the ones above.. and for the money, they can't be beat.
Sorry, it's nice for you to recommend, I just hate when people recommend Sony or Bose cuz it's such a rip-off for a product that is inferior (but very well marketed.). I will give Bose that I enjoy their PA systems, though, and admit to owning a 2000+ dollar L1... so I can't hate there!
I use a sleeve adapter and an elastic Velcro band. The sleeve never falls out.
But even with the old strap, I never got hurt when the sleeve fell out.

The best solution I've found is to use this strap:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PV5FCDT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
You can cut it to size. Next, I replace the stock sleeve with a couple of Fleshlight Quickshot's and a coupler so I end up with an open sleeve that's roughly 10" long. Then, I put self stick velcro on the hard plastic that's in the center of each quickshot.
Then, I put the "far" end of the quickshot into the carrier and wrap the onewrap around it - going this way, the sleeve will hang several inches beyond the sliding carrier so if you do slide out, you aren't likely to get pinched by the carrier when it comes down.
Ran into this problem myself a few weeks back. I spend a lot of time in hotels for work. Seems like you are way ahead of where I was at, so you have a good head start. I can't remember who but someone here recommended this Travel Router. I am not tech savvy and I was able to easily set it up. It basically piggybacks off the hotel wifi and creates your own access point to connect all your devices, including the handy. There are cheaper ones out there and you might even be able to find one at one of the big box stores, but this one was recommended so that is the one I got.

These straps worked well LuBanSur-amazon
At first I used the strap as intended, but did not like the feel. Then I cut off the buckle and "leather pointed end", and use a safety pin (diaper pin) to secure in place. Once you figure out the correct size (just tight enough to hold the sleeve in position when it is empty, and loose enough to not be too tight when sleeve is full), you will never need to adjust the strap.
I never even undo the strap, it stretches to put the sleeve in, or to take it out.

Heres the exact link to the mount I bought = https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B078Q3SJLL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great, thanks so much! I wanted to ask, does this link still work for the correct item? Was t sure. Thank you!
Not cheap, but it will make you last longer. It is NON NUMBING so you still feel it all, it jsut inhibits orgasm. I recommend you use more than suggested and wait longer than suggested before starting. I usually wait 90 minutes.
It'll last for pretty much until the next day if you use enough. I used it for sex and the handy and it lets me have hour long sessions at pretty much any speed and it's amazing.
Sorry about that, forgot to include the links on how to set this up!:
- So all you need is just a univeral Gooseneck Ipad mount (just unclip/disconnect the removable ipad holder part)
- Then just get large zipties from the dollar store or you can get Adjustable Clamps for reusability

This is a phenomenal strap. Way better than the stock strap.
Stanley 1-83-069 MaxSteel Multi Angle Hobby Vice
I just ordered The Handy along with this Multi Angle Hobby Vice and I'm pretty sure it'll work just fine. The mic arm you're linking and the tripod suggested by the other guy I wouldn't personally attempt myself. That vice grip will be sturdy asf though. Just might have to get creative with placement!
Its a generic mount like this one Gooseneck Ipad mount
You can just disconnect the removable ipad holder part, and then purchase a pack of large zipties from the dollar store or Adjustable Clamps for reusability
Yes, a hard outer shell works very well. I’ve been using one of these 3d printed sleeve adapters for several months and it works great: https://www.reddit.com/r/theHandy/comments/nbm4y7/update_new_hinged_version_of_sleeve_adapter/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
It works well with the stock sleeve and several other sleeves including Firefly, Tenga, and Quickshot. I’ve also used it generic sleeves as well. Works especially well if you replace the stock strap with a 2-inch elastic Velcro strap like these Trilancers: https://www.amazon.com/Trilancer-Elastic-Anti-Slip-Multipurpose-Extension/dp/B097BG9Q9F/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?crid=EM3MBNZ34MMT&keywords=2-inch+elastic+strap+velcro&qid=1639266639&sprefix=2-inch+elastic+strap+velcro%2Caps%2C291&sr=8-6
If you don’t have a 3d printer, you could make your own shell. Some people use a large diameter piece of pvc pipe from the local hardware store.
No worries man!
Yea I think that's coming down the pipeline but might be awhile from the information I've gathered. What platform are you building this on? If web here's a getting started page, just make sure to edit the security rules to allow both read && write without user auth.

I often use this perineum vibrator cock ring for extra stimulation: https://www.amazon.com/Vibrating-Vibrator-Stretchy-Prostate-Massager/dp/B09DFYV5Q4

I use this and just attach the Handy with some zipties. I like how you can change the angles.
It's one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shanes-World-Stroker-Campus-Hottie/dp/B004EGEM3W
It's actually 9" long but I cut about 2" off with scissors.
Also, this one is made of quite soft/wobbly silicone, so you need to wrap a bit of cardboard or stiff plastic around it before you put it in the Handy (to give it some rigidity and prevent it from wobbling around). It's easy.

Be sure to use washers in both sides of the Handy case to make sure the connection is tight. Then you can mount to any smooth surface.
You don't want vaseline, as it'll drip when the device heats up. You want a heat stable, non-conductive grease.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0081JE0OO is the one I used. Small amount on a cotton swab, rubbed on the drive shaft. Been perfect for months, and made a significant difference in the noise almost immediately.
It doesn't quite have the same specs as the listed grease, but that information wasn't available at the time. They seem comparable.
Try this:
Got one for working from home to hold my phone. It was already hooked up near the couch, so I tried it and it was super effective as a hold that won't damage the Handy.
i just order this. a velcro strap that you can cut and add to the default strap
I got some of these (https://www.amazon.com/Lesampo-Workout-Exercise-Resistance-Equipment/dp/B08NZBVKHW/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=latex+strap&qid=1616973550&sr=8-16) and cut them to size. I then used duct tape to secure them to the handy, and then used some velcro tape so they could adhere to each other. Worked well.
Some folks have had some luck with this strap (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B8HYQFH/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A36CQBL33S5SJ2&th=1). I decided to order to find out if its any good since my latex straps eventually stretch out and break since they're cheap latex.
A Tenga Airtech Twist, it's my favourite sleeve because I can tighten it mid session without taking my headset off or getting lube on my hands.
Buy new Velcro strips from Amazon or a hardware store. LuBanSir Cinch Straps - 2" x 18" (6 Pack) Elastic Hook and Loop Storage Straps with Buckle for Bicycle, Truck, Boat and More for Extension Cords, Ropes, Hoses Organization - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XCBQSQF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_h6i6FbZWDXW2Z
I bought this assortment pack and used the larger and shorter length strap and seems to have been working way better than the original strap that they had. Cheap and just requires some trimming so you can take out the plastic ends prior to threading into the handy. When they start selling the new sleeves i'll try pick up their new strap to compare.

It's called a gooseneck! Typically used in music studios or on film sets to hold mics and cameras. I got the 19" one, but if I made another one it would be 24"+. You can find a similar item at hardware stores used for cable organization.. the hardware version is called flexible something something.. if you show them a picture I'm sure an attendant will know what you need.
-Not the exact same but here's the Amazon for $16.99 suction cups-Exact Amazon for the $11 Gooseneck
Drilled 2 holes through the handle of suction cups: Top hole is wide enough to get the whole gooseneck in, and the bottom is just wide enough for the connecting narrow end. I attached with a looong 5/8th" screw (I believe) as there is threading on the inside of the neck. Took a while to mentally sketch out if this would work and maybe 5 minutes for actual assembly.
So long as you can find something to 'convert' between the mic stand screw size and either VESA, 30mm, 70mm or 1/4" screw, then yeah that would work fine. Something like this, for example.
I love how this little sex toy had turned is all into amateur mechanical engineers lol. I ended up buying (link below), clipping it to the center bar of a 25lb hexagon weight, and setting that on my computer desk. Works really well. Handy fits right in. Hear that, handy team? I found a solution to your hands free problem! Lol

I had some success with this guys. no need for a tow strap and stuff.

You use something like this then you thread straps through the holes to hold the device against you. The cup holder holds top like you hand does. If you do it right you can go completely hands free even standing laying down etc. great for vr.
I had a similar problem. I'm using a resistance band (like these) in place of the strap, and it works great. I've been using a couple of binder clips to hold the strap in place, but I'm sure there are better ways. The tension is adjustable, and it sticks to the sleeve better than the included strap.
I see, after giving it some thought I decided to just buy this heavy duty velcro to hold the sleeve. Perfect width, and long enough and should be strong enough to use it to mount theHandy to an ipad stand or whatever for hands free experience.
This was a great recommendation. I added this strap too and now it all locks in. You should be able to source a replacement to get you to and running from a hardware store or Amazon. Another user on this subreddit was trying this out:
