>I really think they just don't understand what this is all about and it bugs me that a project like this is subject to apple's whims.
I publish a print magazine of 64 pages, with color cover and black and white interior. Printing 500 copies brings the cost down under $3 per copy. Postage using regular first class postage is a little over $2 per copy in the US. Shipping overseas is much nicer when you have a local partner to re-ship, e.g. I mail a box to a friend in the UK and he mails throughout the EU for me.
If you're really interested in looking at this, call up Publisher's Press, who have wowed me from the first time I called them back in 2009 and have delivered 6 stellar issues for me:
I have a document I have been keeping of arguments against sopa. I accidently repeat things once in a while and it could use some editing, but it would make a good starting point for a bigger article. It should all be creative commons and a lot of stuff is from techdirt.com
It avoids the censorship topics, and sticks to impact on innovation and economics.

If anyone would like to help edit, let me know.
Just market share. Android, due primarily to its availability on a wider range of devices and carriers, has become the predominant smartphone OS. http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/05/comscore-android-continues-to-boom-rim-and-microsoft-decline/
If they don't already know.. Kuler.Adobe.com is the shit when it comes to color palletes. And there's also Colorlovers.com, which has a pretty nifty section for magazine color trends.
I know this is pretty late, but I'm just getting involved here. I think andrewegan1986 has a good idea. original content might help the magazine take off a little more. A magazine both with Reddit and about Reddit can't be worse than one simply with Reddit... does that make any sense? I also think r/subredditdrama would make some cool content. EDIT: Formatting.
