I initially used the brand my doctor recommended at first: https://oleeva.com/product/oleeva-scar-shapes
upon applying it, it immediately rolled up onto itself and got stuck so I returned it and got a refund.

These work better for me and they’re cheaper.
I think you’re fine without the recliner. I didn’t have one and only wished I did on days 1-2 where it was hard to get out of the bed - but that was because I also got my boobs done and couldn’t use my arms to push and pull myself up. But you can roll to the side and push up to stand so should be good!
A good sturdy side table helps too!
Here are the wedges I bought: https://www.amazon.com/Bed-Wedge-Pillows-Set-Orthopedic/dp/B08R8235N9/ref=mp_s_a_1_6_sspa?crid=S5CN5QIF6N1N&keywords=sleep%2Bwedges%2Bfor%2Badults%2Bpost%2Bsurgery&qid=1669236206&sprefix=wedges%2Bpost%2B%2Caps%2C80&sr=8-6-spons&...
Lots of people recommend Mederma but it doesn't work well with me. I have found Nuvadermis to be very useful for fading scars. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PG91V9Y?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I like it a lot. They also have a silicon strip/cover thingy.
I'm also a fan of Manuka honey for incision sites that are still healing.
I’ve been wearing Fajas during the day and my doctors compression garment at night.
These are the 2 fajas I got from Amazon:
And
I cut the open crotch on both but I like moving with them. Super comfortable.

I also have a king-sized pillow on either side for supporting my arms, and a lap desk on my bed for my phone, remote, lip balm. I had bought gauze for cushioning incisions under compression garments, but it’s thin and not helpful enough. My nurses suggested maxi pads! Perfect thickness and the backs stick to the insides of garments to help hold them in place, and they don’t stick to wounds - perfect! Ask your surgeon’s office about what OTC pain reliever they’re ok with you taking. Mine would only allow extra strength Tylenol, no ibuprofen. Think in advance about what you’ll be able to use to drink out of while in a slightly reclined position. My go-tos were too long to use in that position! Disposable mattress covers (or puppy pads) are good to have, in case of leakage from incision. Make sure you have an extra garment of whatever kind your surgeon puts you in, so you have something to wear while the first is being washed. I just bought an extra from my dr day of surgery. Bromelain and Arnica are great supplements to consider to assist with healing.
I was a high risk for clotting since my mom had a history of blood clots and my surgeon gave me these massage compression socks that were noisy but worked great otherwise. Here is something similar I had:
I am 4 weeks post. Here is my list:
Food: crackers, protein shakes, and pineapple (helps with the swelling). Also, stay away from high sodium foods, it makes you swell more. Also, for me, eating too much hurts my incision area (the bloat), so if you are someone who bloats, watch your diet the first 2 weeks.
After the 2 weeks, I didn’t really need anything else.

Some people prefer having a lift chair to having wedge pillows and some people prefer the pee funnel to the toilet riser. I guess it’s all personal preference, but this is what worked for me!
I am a side sleeper too! I slept in a recliner after my BA this spring, but I splurged on these pillows for my TT 3 weeks ago. Best purchase by far and I wish I would have just bought them back in the spring 😅

I did buy a lift chair from Amazon and I’m chilling in it now. Totally worth it and you won’t need wedges ☺️ I just figured I could sell it and it was cheaper than renting. I did have to take some stairs at my drs office on my first week follow up. Only two flights and I took it slow. Just listen to your body and try not to rush. I bought a walker as well but I felt it was a waste. I only used it maybe the first 3 days and it just wasn’t necessary. I was surprised to find I used a folding step stool in the shower as a seat and it could’ve doubled as a walker! 🤣 Esright Electric Power Lift Chair... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097MXG65D?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I’m 6 weeks post TT and my most prized post op buy was this she wee and I originally bought it for peeing at the beach!!! It was amazing. I didn’t have to sit on the toilet until day 5-6 when I finally had a bm. And that was after taking Metamucil and the prescription stool softener. JefDiee Female Urination... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08H7XGS12?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I also took Opti-Recovery supplements that I found on Amazon that greatly reduced my bruising and swelling, by week 2 I was out and about in the world almost like nothing happened.
