Shards Online kickstarter could use your attention as well, let's expand our creativity with UO shards to new technologies. The UO engine can only take us so far.

I Googled and found a link to "The Secret Gimp" webpage, which doesn't exist anymore ... so I checked if archive.org has a "historical" copy of it, and indeed it does have two from 2001:

Have you checked out this book Braving Britannia? I thought the writing could use a bit of work but does a nice job scratching a nostalgia itch.

edit: Apparently there is a 2nd book now. I'll have to check it out.

Thank you Ce Jayce, It is quite clear that I am the original creator of UO Portal and its software, its not the intellectual property of anyone and was never claimed as such, it was something made for the community to use as a tool to find the appropriate servers for them to play on - I find it comical that you can steal something and then have the audacity to claim it as your own. I wrote the code behind UO Portal, Dante didn't. Nuff' said. (thats why DANTE can't make any updates or changes or even provide support for something as simple as a polling error - BECAUSE DANTE DIDNT MAKE IT AND HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE's DOING!..)

I used to do PvP but now I'm sure I wouldn't be able to compete. I'm mostly interested in PvM with some taming and crafting worked in. I looked at switching shards and 20 bucks seems awfully steep for one character. Dang.
