I have a Mi Band 3 and notifications do work under Gadgetbridge. I just checked the device list and your Casio is supported, so that might be worth looking into.

This looks like (at least somewhat) WhatsApp's fault because the same feature of Signal works just fine. I've found a nice workaround for WhatsApp Web based on this random website; forcing WhatsApp into landscape orientation makes the scanner start working. Here's how to do that:
Download Rotation Control on your Atom
Open the app and enable "Start controlling rotation"
Find the sticky notification from Rotation Control and tap both the shield icon ️ and the landscape icon with the R inside it.
Now you should be able to set up WhatsApp Web as normal. Then, uninstall Rotation Control and all is back to normal.

Try increasing the height of Gboard, typing while in landscape mode, or if all else fails Minuum keyboard - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whirlscape.minuumfree
Any of those might help make the typing experience just good enough to tolerate :)
I added a launcher called "simple mode." I had also tried using an app that put bigger icons of aps on the home screen by making them widgets. I think simple mode launcher is better for me though.

The Atom doesn't really have that good of a camera front or back, but it does have a pretty nice/fast camera app going for it at least! After a few days with my lovely new Atom, here are my best photos.

Also, some tips:
Edit: changed ZSL -> ZSD
> Are there any favorite, non-root ways of moving all apps, data, and settings between Atoms
No root? No.
Just sign into your Google account and you get everything that matters - email, contacts, calendar events.
For anything else use Helium:

If that doesn't work, nothing will.
