I love minnum too, there are dozens of us! It's so easy to get used to, really fast when you do and takes up so little room on the screen
Disabled it along with the majority of the pre-installed apps first thing when I got mine. There are dozens of better keyboards on the play store. Minuum is my personal favorite.
Try increasing the height of Gboard, typing while in landscape mode, or if all else fails Minuum keyboard - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whirlscape.minuumfree
Any of those might help make the typing experience just good enough to tolerate :)
I'm totally happy with the Minuum keyboard.
It has a floating more where you can resize and position the keyboard as you like. With one swipe you can switch from normal to a minimum layout using less space and smart enough for fast typing (word suggestions). It's easy to swith between different languages, too.
Minuum is the closest, if your language is supported. Trial of 30 days, after which it costs about 3 bucks, just like Fleksy used to do.
Minuum! It is perhaps the most amazing keyboard I've ever used. It has the best autocorrect of any keyboard I've ever used. And I've run the gamut: SwiftKey, Swype, Keymonk, Fleksy, etc. The gestures are powerful and a perfect fit for keyboards on phones. It makes more sense to me to use a gesture instead of trying to hit a tiny button. And Minuum has an easy access menu for direction arrows, copy/paste/etc, and more. It's simply amazing. There is a bit of a learning curve for the compressed QWERTY format, but it is worth it.
The only other keyboard I can think of that has this is Minuum , but that is a small keyboard at the bottom of your screen, very cool idea though.
I came to the Z3c from a Nexus 5, and I love how much easier it is to use one-handed. With the Minuum keyboard, you won't really have to worry about typing errors because its sloppy typing feature is so good.
Try Minuum, similar behaviour and somewhat updated.
You can try this keyboard https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whirlscape.minuumfree
I'd recommend minimum keyboard.
It's not exactly T9, but check out Minuum
If you want to try something a bit different, give Minuum a try.
Faire enough. Keep in mind there is a free trial version and we're semi-often on sale for 2/3$

Try Minuum if your language is supported, it's very similar.
it's not what you described but it's your best option for a small screen
Minuum keyboard. It uses about 1/3 the space of a normal keyboard and has excellent prediction.

Thank you! But I'm looking for a keyboard-like app, and I'm already used to the Minuum Keyboard.
