Used to use Nord, but after it expired switched to ExpressVPN is also good, but more for torrenting not streaming
Netflix provides several different ways to access its content outside of the US, including by changing your IP address and using a VPN. Note that Netflix blocks these methods if their detection systems think you’re trying to circumvent geographical restrictions. Avoid this issue with ExpressVPN, ProtonVPN, or Tunnelbear. Created specifically for people who want security and quick connections, they have apps for iOS and Android as well as features like Split Tunneling if you want more control over how much data is sent across the network. If you are looking for an affordable VPN service with good customer service, go with Surfshark or Hotspot Shield which have servers all around the world so content is constantly being added.
Free VPNs are a good place to start when looking for a VPN, but again you will want to do your research on the provider. Paid VPNs will be more reliable because it has higher uptime and better connection speeds.
You can find more information on some of the different options listed above. Have some fun!
I have tested most of the providers on listed on that chart, including Pure, Nord, and Surfshark, but Private Internet Access (PIA) is my go-to VPN. Regardless of the country chosen, the connection speeds are lightning fast and extremely reliable. I know many people recommend Pure here, but I just cancelled my subscription with them because the server speeds would slow to a crawl, forcing me to spend a lot of time switching servers to find a better one. Plus, it's blocked by my bank and Netflix, so I'd frequently have to switch between 5 or 6 different servers, only to find that the one that worked today no longer worked tomorrow.
PIA VPN has a 100% uptime guarantee, and you can set it and forget it. There is no need to switch between servers, and it works on everything.
Private Internet Access (PIA) is the one I prefer. They jumped on Wireguard pretty early and unlike so many other VPN providers they've been taken to court and could not provide records because they simply don't keep any. I won't use any VPN that hasn't been subjected to trial by fire in this manner. They aren't perfect, but overall I'm very happy with them and their speeds. Their software used to be a bit buggy, but over the years with updates I've found it to work very well on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. Linux has been hit and miss but improving. Just make sure to use their streaming optimized locations to bypass geo-blocks on services like Netflix & Hulu.
Most paid VPN's should. I would recommend mullvad, IVPN, or protonVPN. They all have pretty good reputations and are easy enough to use. If those dont work out or you want to give our new VPN, TinyVPN a shot feel free to send a message I will set up a trial or help answer any questions. Good luck.
If you're looking for a VPN provider that supports multiple VLANs/subnets on mac, I would recommend checking out NordVPN. Their client can handle multiple VLANs and they have a wide range of servers that support macOS versions from Catalina thru Monterey.
Get a good vpn that is fast for streaming and has all clean good ones you won't get any captchas or blocked streaming.. I've been using PureVPN to get almost 82 percent of.

You should try NordVPN. Hope this helps!
I agree with you. PIA VPN is absolutely good VPN for streaming. ExpressVPN and NordVPN should also excellent VPN for streaming purpose. But I will recommend you must check the list of best VPN for streaming. Here, you can easily compare the features of all these good VPN services.
After spending hours researching good VPNs to use, I read about Mozilla VPN. Apparently they started out using the Mullvad servers, but are a pure Wireguard service, which is awesome. If you are considering Mullvad, maybe also consider Mozilla VPN. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to. Mozilla has historically been a very security, privacy, and community focused company and is more well known and established than most VPN providers.
If you do try Mullvad though, please let us know how it goes! I'd be interested to hear if it is reliable.
Also interested to hear what people are going to recommend. A year ago, NordVPN and CyberGhost were both highly recommended, but if you check the latest reviews, everyone is complaining about connectivity issues, reduced speeds, skeezy practices with subscription charges, and non-existent customer service.
Personally, I just want to watch videos on my 4G LTE tablet without having to wait for it to buffer every five seconds... Is that so much to ask? I have 100+ Mbps and even pay extra for full HD streaming but nothing works. Help me VPN Kenobi, you're my only hope!
I have used a variety of VPN's over the years. The one I liked, and which worked extremely well, did not provide a discount deal so I searched to other possibilities. NordVPN was highly recommended, so I purchased a 2 yr subscription. BIG MISTAKE!!!
I have not been able to successfully connect while traveling. Have had ongoing interactions with their support. The suggestion they made disabled NordVPN at home. There latest suggestion seems to work at home, but it took a long time to connect, the locations are extremely limited, and I have not tried it yet outside of home.
Nordvpn seems to have many options, and if you don't get them all right and working together, it becomes a nightmare. Look for a simple VPN which provides basic services. I am going to try to get a refund. Good luck!!
Go for r/Windscribe. They're pretty good, decent speeds and are the only VPN that offer a make your own plan, where you can pay just $2 every month for unlimited data plus ten free servers and an extra additional premium location of your choice OR pay $4 x 12 = $48 every year for all the servers which include the ten free one and about 50 countries with premium servers.
The ones marked with the star are the premium servers. The rest are free ones, on which you get unlimited data when you pay $2 every month (or 10 GB every month if you're just trying it out and not paying).
I recommend VPN Unlimited. A lifetime license costs around 18 Dollar. Use the code "VIP40" on this website: https://stacksocial.com/sales/the-lifetime-password-manager-privacy-subscription-bundle-sticky-pw
But I can say, Netflix and other streaming services will most likely not work. But I guess this isn't important in your use case. The Speed, ping and stability is great because WireGuard is supported!
I'm using ExpressVPN atm and it works just as bad as NordVPN for Netflix.
The bad news is, I don't know a single VPN provider that consitently works well with Netflix recently. Netflix has really stepped up their game on blocking them.
(I have not tested ProtonVPN or Tunnelbear)
Great article
Summary: All the large providers are hypocrites and tracking people, including NordVPN and ExpressVPN.
The only ones not doing it are:
I would also like to add OVPN to the good-gang but it was not mentioned in the article.
VPNs usually don't work with those streaming websites - those sites have been adapted to block as much as possible from reaching viewers. Services like Netflix, HBO, Hulu and Disney are especially vulnerable to VPN attacks because they do not host their content on their own servers - instead customer demand drives content distribution.
VPN providers have setup many of these circumvention techniques in use today so VPN's can circumnavigate internet surveillance software. Undercover methods used by the most popular of them all is ExpressVPN and ProtonVPn, reputable providers that offers easy-to-use apps for all internet browsers and operating systems.
What's the best speed vpn? I bought ExpressVPN on special for 15 months but after like 3 months, it really dipped in speed. I use my fire tv with Kodi and real debrid. If I'm trying to watch a 50+ gb file because it's HDR and Atmos, it stops because it's too slow. My speed without the VPN is 300+ MB.
The list of most popular fast VPNs for streaming and torrenting are given below:
So, these are the overall most famous VPN services. You can definitely compare all best VPNs with good features along with pros and cons.
Buddy, just stuck to the best VPNs according to google and trust pilot. They’re typically the likes of Express, CyberGhost and Nord. Tunnel Bear is probably decent too. Reddit will tell you one thing but might not be the truth you feel me.
CyberGhost has been great for me! I’ve seen people raise concerns about the CyberGhost customer service but I’ve never had to deal with them yet! It works okay for me and I watch Netflix overseas. My router is hooked up to their Open VPN.
Yeah I got CyberGhost and have stuck with it, mainly for security reasons. Privacy seems to be paramount with these guys, which is good for me. I previously used TunnelBear but wasn’t happy with it in the end. With CyberGhost, I get to surf the net anonymously and don’t have to worry about a cease and desist letter coming in through the mail. It’s also easy to use.
Honestly, if I did have so much damn time left on my TorGuard subscription I’d have switched to CyberGhost by now. Or Nord. By CyberGhost is available at an amazing price. That all said, I’d love to hear an answer about how reliable it is? Is CyberGhost reliable?
You’ve got a lot to choose from when it comes to torrenting, but I understand that your other main priority is not getting caught out. I’ve been using Nord for a few years now and never had any issues and no letters in the mail. They offer a free trial too, so you could climb aboard that.
Other than that buddy, you’ve got the likes of ExpressVPN (solid option) and CyberGhost (very good option), both good VPN providers. As I think someone else suggested, your best bet is to single out one or two VPNs and go look at them closer, both on Reddit and on Google. Eventually you’ll be able to make a sound decision. Good luck :)
Wouldn’t work. Mainly because there are still loads of shills on Reddit. My tip is to look in threads like this, find a VPN that stands out and go examine it more closely in another thread dedicated to it. For example, let’s say NordVPN stands out as the best VPN. You could then go and see what others are saying about it in a separate Reddit thread dedicated to Nord on Reddit.
I’ve been using NordVPN for the last year and torrenting loads. Nothing has gone wrong so far, fingers crossed!! But I’ve gotta be honest that all these stories about cease and desist letters really scare me! Is it possible that we could all get caught out eventually? Is it true that there’s no such thing as a VPN that *never* leaks?
I’d argue that the best way to get the most out of NordVPN is to learn how to pick and switch nodes. When you have this knowledge, Nord is easily the quickest and most reliable VPN on the market. Now, the problem I have with VPNs that get to a certain size is that they can’t be trusted anymore, thanks to warrants and gag orders etc. I’m not saying Nord is there yet but I’d monitor the situation very carefully if I were you. See, the bigger it gets, the more security flaws will be spotted. Then, the servers will be blocked.
There are lots of VPN coupon code sites you can try :) Alternatively you can just search on Reddit. Pretty sure if you type in “NordVPN coupon codes reddit” you’ll get a bunch of threads (look for the updated ones though, as coupon codes run out fast)
Price is really important for me when it comes to anything, but especially VPNs. I’m wondering if anyone has any NordVPN coupon codes to share or even any Nord discounts they’re aware of? I read about a 68% discount but can’t find it? Anyone aware of this?
ExpressVPN is one of the best vpn’s out there i have used it for a Long time its simple and easy, and its safe. I Would highly recommend it. I have had No problems with it at all. Its super fast and Secure.
CyberGhost for sports streaming, defo. Some of the best vpn deals on black Friday, good security features like a kill switch and aes 256. Works good on streaming services like Netflix. Probably safest vpn for torrenting
I can backup everything this reddit user said (well, about CyberGhost anyway). I’ve been using CyberGhost for a few months now and absolutely have no issues with it. But I also wanted to add that it offers a huge range or servers and it’s great for P2P support too!!
Mullvad is a good vpn for privacy reasons, but if it’s just sports streaming and you’re not in the least concerned about privacy or security, try CyberGhost vpn. It’s got great performance and connection and won’t let you down when you’re watching the big games.
My favorite is TunnelBear. It’s one of the most trustworthy VPNs out there and it’s never caused Google not to work for me. The user interface is really cool too lol a cute bear tunnels around it lol.
There’s really not much difference but NordVPN is bigger on its server features. It has a network of 4,500+ servers in more than 60 countries and options include Static IP, Onion over VPN and Double VPN. But other than that, I’d say it’s largely a tie. Both have DNS leak protection and a kill switch (which means no logs), both have good customer support, they both offer refunds. However, where CG wins is on price. You can get it for just $2.25 per month atm, whereas NordVPN’s cheapest deal is $3.71 per month.
As I said in my NordVPN review, Nord is the only VPN I’ve tried. However, I have a colleague at work who uses CyberGhost (he recommended it to me initially until I plumped for the Nord free trial) and he said it’s ace. So I guess they’re both pretty good. Hope that helps.
I decided to invest in NordVPN about three months ago. My friend said it worked well on Android but tbh I’ve been mostly using the desktop version. It’s a LOT better than my previous VPN, which leaked my CC details and made me super paranoid. Tbh I wasn’t even going to bother using a VPN again as it scared me off but I’ve bolstered my security with a kill switch. This means the only time you access the internet is when you’re using the VPN.
Oh boy, you’ve got a few good vpns to choose from. The top virtual private networks for me are CyberGhost and NordVPN. Not really much to choose between those two, however I’d say that NordVPN offers great functionality. It’s also more expensive (but not by much and the price reflects its capabilities). Both come with kill switches that prevent your data from being exposed if there’s a leak. Both also offer a no-logs approach to privacy and both offer good connections. I’ve tested them both and used them both significantly in the past, and there’s really not much difference between the two in terms of performance. Support is important too, of course, and again they’re pretty much even. That said, while NordVPN fare well on this front with their 24/7 live chat functionality, CyberGhost go the extra mile with their comprehensive articles, which you can find on the website. Also, it’s worth mentioning that CyberGhost has an excellent mobile app - one of the best VPN mobile apps I’ve ever used.
Hmm, I was going to recommend AirVPN straight off the bat because I saw that you were concerned about leakage. True, AirVPN is one of the best for preventing leakage as it’s very sophisticated. In fact, I’d go as saying it’s the best for this. The problem is that AirVPN isn’t actually the best when it comes to performance, in fact it’s a bit slow. So I guess you gotta base your decision on what your main priority is now. Speed or leakage?
I personally like IPVanish VPN and they got good servers that have worked well for streaming for me. I don't recommend using free ones because there have been some issues with them before.
Private Internet Access is decent. Only costs $30 for the whole year and never really had any major problems with it. And when I do have an issue, such as lagging connection, the customer support usually sorts it pretty quickly.
I can vouch for NordVPN for torrenting, it's always been safe for my needs, haven't gotten any letters. You asked in your post whether or not VPNs are truly bulletproof and don’t ever leak. The answer is *maybe* - but you’ve gotta find the right one. Personally, yes, I use Nord and, so far, it’s never leaked. It’s completely safe and relies on an automatic firewall to prevent leaks.
did you try to use Free Opera VPN? I use it in USA but i'm not sure if it works in UK.
Also you can use free VPN apps which have ads, like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=free.vpn.unblock.proxy.turbovpn&hl=en_US
At this moment you will not find a cheaper and faster netflix VPN as NordVPN. It works very stable, has good tutorials and support, a user-friendly interface, and many applications for different devices.
You need to try with VPN static IP, something like NordVPN with dedicated IP feature, not sure if they can provide New Jersey IP but this service is exactly what you need
I don’t know why people above recommended having an additional PC in the USA and connecting to it via VPN, it doesn’t make any sense. You need simply use any good VPN, with a static IP option, so you can connect from Bali, but the logs will be the same USA location as if you work from the one place. Like example NordVPN + Dedicated IP
I agree that NordVPN is the one of the best VPN, but I don't believe that you ARE NOT sponsored by them, I was even tired reading your review, can only imagine how much time it can take to write so much text :)
These are the best ones for netflix:
I have used both of them with netflix, currently using NordVPN right now since it is a bit faster than surfshark. NordVPN occassionally won't work with Netflix on some IP addresses, but it only happens like 10% of the time. You just click change my IP until you get one that works. Someone mentioned it's cause netflix tries to to block some popular VPNs, but NordVPN knows people want to watch netflix so they are always changing the IPs
Security #1 reason to use VPN, so I don’t see why you need to use unsecure and expensive VPN, I recommend choosing between these two: ExpressVPN with $100 per year or cheaper solution - NordVPN $75 /year ($37/year on 3 year contract). Both have good security and many benefits which Avast doesn’t have.
I'm sure that ExpressVPN is a good one, and one of the fastest VPN, BUT let’s be fair - you tested it only with your ISP in one country and say that it's the best you have seen so I can say that it could be the best only for people who have the same ISP and live in your region. I travel a lot and can say that sometimes it works much slower even in free Opera VPN
If you need a good VPN for a short period - use NordVPN or ExpressVPN, both have 30 days money back period, so I can say that this the way you will get two months of the best VPN service for free, and I’ll get my free beer :)
Yes VPN is the only way for you to continue to enjoy sports matches you like. The best VPN for this moment are NordVPN and ExpressVPN, second one is cheaper but NordVPN is the fastest Netflix VPN. About free VPN - there is no absolutely free VPN, the only way is to create your own VPN, but there are many ways to get VPN for free - free trial and moneyback periods, use bonuses and coupons (you can find it here on reddit) etc.
Thanks for the review, but I'm not sure that it’s also cheap, because most top rated VPN services have cheaper plans, like for example Nordvpn - $3.1 monthly, Cyberghostvpn - $3.15 monthly, Surfshark - $1.85 monthly. So I don't even know if it needs to try paid TunnelBear.
Yes, I have been accessing Netflix US by using NordVPN for quite some time. NordVPN works like a charm.
There are other VPNs like ExpressVPN, Surfshark, IPVanish which works as well. I have covered them here - Best Netflix VPN.
I'm having major speed issues with IPVanish. I have fiberoptic and my PC is is wired. Various speedtests with vpn disconnected show speeds of 500+ mbps. Once IPVanish is connected though it drops to 100 mbps or less. I don't really want to complain about 100 mbps but that's a massive drop off. I've tried everything I can think of (change servers, change protocols, reset router, etc) and nothing seems to help. Going to try a trial version of Nord or something and see if it's any different.
For the record though, IPVanish does have a kill switch.
Thanks for good and fair review, I just want to notice that it is not so cheap VPN if compare with other rated VPNs like NordVPN, Cyberghost or Surfshark, last one now have extremely low price offer for 24 month period - $44.40
Thank you for this review, and I just want to share my thoughts - now Zenmate, Cyberghost and PIA
are the brands of one company Kape Technologies (Crossrider in the past), which previously developed browser toolbars bundled with potentially unwanted programs, and I’m afraid soon we will face many security issues because to get stable and secure service, it needs to update it all the time with a professional team of developers, but what can provide us Kape Technologies?
You can use any VPN service you wish, but Netflix blocks many servers all the time and as it was mentioned before NordVPN and ExpressVPN are the best here, also I suggest to use CyberGhost and IPVanish. All these services have free trial so I think it will be enough for you for 3 weeks.
