There's two versions. The original XLR model for about $99 (but on sale at times for $79) and the USB version for around $129. Keep in mind the XLR version requires an interface to hook to your computer, which would be an added cost if you don't have.

iOS and Android both have maaaaany good TTS apps. Proloquo and Speech Assistant are just my favorites. CereProc is a very good speech engine for Android, as is Acapela, which Proloquo uses.
