That's pretty impressive. I should have know you were incredible tech savvy using a Linux. When I looked more into Linux options, /u/John2548 seems to have made really good suggestions.
For the apps, I like verbally+ which is free for apple product. I just saw there is an app for android that is free called Acapela TTS Voices. Acapela makes really naturalistic voices for other AAC applications.
iOS and Android both have maaaaany good TTS apps. Proloquo and Speech Assistant are just my favorites. CereProc is a very good speech engine for Android, as is Acapela, which Proloquo uses.
Ivona is a good choice. I also use Acapela TTS Voice which contains high quality but paid voices.
I'm looking to reproduce some voices from Kraftwerk's music. Some are Vocoder while others use speech synthesis (Phonem) like DECtalk or SAM.
