Thank you.
The one from Ali Express is pretty close. It's only missing the outside pocket.
I actually thought the following (see below) would be perfect. I bought it, but empty, it is 2-1/2x as thick as my current wallet. The leather is quite a bit thicker, and there's more material at the edges of the gussets, making it less useful to me, because I only have 4 additional cards and currency folded in half in the gusseted pocket.

I had this wallet for almost a year and it's still holding up well. I personally like it better than the folding wallets because it's thinner

This is nearly identical.

I wonder if one these might be thinner:

The following is just my opinion. I'm not disputing or criticizing anything you said.
I refuse to carry any embossed cards. It's extremely stupid that any CC makers still use embossed cards!
Is storing coins in a wallet the best idea? It seems to me that it just adds bulk and thickness to a wallet. I like to keep my wallet for cards and bills as skinny as possible. But I live in the US, which still has $1 bills, so maybe that's just my perspective as a US resident. I do visit Canada quite often, which uses $1 and $2 coins, so I use a black Quikoin Original Oval Sof-Touch Squeeze Coin Purse (amazon.com/gp/product/B00SGG7KL2) for coins when I'm there, and I find it much more convenient to have the coins in a separate holder.
I personally use the Butterfly Wallet (urbanultralight.com/product/butterfly-wallet) (amazon.com/gp/product/B003EM8BE8). It's 100% the slimmest wallet for carrying up to 12 cards and cash. Unfortunately, it looks like black is currently OOS. Also, if you need to use air AirTag, you'd probably have to carry less cards, and it would add a lot of thickness to the wallet.
Or, if you REALLY need the tracking capability, perhaps you could switch to a CARD Spot (howtogeek.com/806199/chipolo-card-spot-review), which is supposedly actually a CC size, and compatible with Apple’s Find My app.

Rarely. Really only when I change what I carry, and if my wallet at the time doesn't meet the needs of the change. I've been using the Butterfly Wallet for over a year, and I love it. Unfortunately, it's not available at the moment, or I'd probably buy a backup, although so far, it's showing no signs of wear. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EM8BE8

I bought a fantom x wallet, which I like, but I want to be able to attach it to the back of a magsafe case. I bought this sticker: https://www.amazon.com/Sinjimoru-Universal-Smartphones-Compatible-Accessories/dp/B09MDY421H/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=19MVM8TXHKVJT&keywords=magsafe+wallet+sticker&qid=1663285974&sprefix=magsafe+wallet+sticke%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-3
but the magnets seem to be facing the wrong way. I won't attach to the outside of the case. It only attaches where the phone should be. Has anybody attached one of these magnetic stickers to anything succesfully?

I'm basically looking for this thing which has recently started deteriorating after 4-5 years. Ideally I'd like the same but more durable (and with no RFID blocking on the ID side if possible).
To elaborate on my requirements:
Durable (5+ years)
Reasonably low cost (<£30, <$40)
Clear or open ID slot.
Holds at least 3 main cards, an ID card, a few notes, and ideally has a slot for several misc cards.
Available in the UK (Ideally)
This one looks a little close to the style of your picture
Recently came across this Bellroy Apex Slim wallet (link)
Does anyone know or found a cheaper alternative?
I think you just found my ideal wallet.
I've been looking around with basically the same requirements, and 2 days ago I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H2MVRV3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I made the assumption that the flap with the window was detached, and that i could simply take that section out if it was too bulky.
But i was wrong, and it turns out that flap is sown into the wallet so there is no way to remove it easily. It would have been ideal if i could take 3-4 cards in and out of the wallet as needed, and still keep them all together in the attachment.
Oh well

Please keep in mind. I am looking to have a portion of all the cards visible when I open the wallet. This is close to what I want but the cards are horizontal instead of verticle. If they were verticle this would pretty much be it. If I have to dig for cards in any way shape form or fashion I'm not interested. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DL18FY9/ref=ox\_sc\_act\_image\_1?smid=A5JWZXWJ0TBYJ&psc=1
It maintains it's shape when the cards are in. I probably wouldn't consider using it with less than 6 cards, with 2 in each slot. Cards are easy to take in and out. However, I just noticed that the one I linked is OOS. I'm afraid it's being discontinued, because I also saw this on FB: "Bulk Butterfly Wallet Closeout - Our Last Sale Ever..." https://www.facebook.com/urbanultralight
I see that blue is still available at: https://www.amazon.com/Butterfly-Wallet-Lightest-Minimalist-Ultra-Compact/dp/B003IMRMC6/
Despite my completely accurate earlier answer, I'm willing to bet that's NOT the answer you were looking for, lol!
I personally look for the smallest, thinnest wallet available that fits my needs.
I live in the US where coins are not as important, so carrying coins in a wallet is never a consideration for me.
That said, I currently carry the equivalent of 12 unembossed cards, and 6 to 10 bills. For that, the smallest, thinnest, and easiest wallet for me is what's important.
At this time, that's accomplished using a Butterfly Wallet. With all that inside, it's barely thicker than just the above items staked on top of each other, because the wallet material is so incredibly thin. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EM8BE8/

I did see those recommendations, it looks good but not many card holding spots.
Right now i'm looking at something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085F3F8S5/ref=emc\_b\_5\_t?th=1
https://www.amazon.com/Castello-Italian-Leather-Wallet-Security/
It depends on how many cards and how much cash you want to carry.
I've always loved a slim wallet. I used small bifolds made of very thin leather for many years. But even with the thinnest leather, nothing comes close to the thinness of a Butterfly Wallet, if you're willing to try a ripstop nylon wallet. I prefer this material to what SlimFold uses.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EM8BE8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
because this sub only has 60 letters, max my full question is,
is it okay to attach magnets to an RFID wallet to keep it closed without risk of damaging the cards inside?
this isn't the same wallet but just to show you, Amazon has lots of them.

> best minimalist wallet?
I think the absolute most minimalistic wallet for holding up to 12 unembossed credit cards and cash without having to fold it is the Butterfly Wallet.
I have the equivalent of 10 cards and 10 bills in mine right now, and it's only 2-7/16" W x 3-5/8" H x 7/16" Thick (61.9125mm x 59.055mm x 11.1125mm).
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EM8BE8
There are lots of wallets claiming to be minimalist, but if REALLY minimalist is what you're going for, I think the Butterfly Wallet is one to consider.
I think the absolute most minimalistic wallet for holding 12 cards is the Butterfly Wallet.
I looked at a video of the Fosh Bolt, and it's thicker empty than the Butterfly Wallet is filled with 12 cards and 10 bills!

That might not be what you're looking for, but if minimalist is what you're going for, I think the Butterfly Wallet is worth considering.

I love carbon fiber and would like any a half fold and something slim. I don’t like the ridge design as I usually carry in my cargo pocket or back pocket and don’t want the hard corners jabbing my leg or butt.
A soft carbon fiber wallet that is decent. Been carrying a thick fossoil tri fold forever. Is something like this decent enough?

I actually just saw a video showcasing the Andar Pilot right before I read your comment and now I'm obsessed with the switch it has that fans out the cards. I'm definitely going to get something that has functionality like that.
Unfortunately though it seems they don't make the version I like anymore. The Pilot on their website is different from this
Thank you! That one wasn't quite it but I found this one as a "related item", which I think should work well for me! Thanks again for saving me more hours of searching!
Try to ignore that this says "womens". The snap is also different than you described. But other than that, I think it has what you asked for.

Thanks to all that responded with helpful suggestions! I did a lot of searching and even ordered a few from Amazon but I'm finding that they're all larger than what I'm looking for, even if they're vertical. Mine is 6.5" wide when opened and I can't find any (except 1) which is less than 7" wide. That brings it pretty close to the horizontal wallets in size, which is what I'm trying to avoid. I will be returning these to Amazon but I've requested my wife to put this one on my Christmas list. From reviews and specifications, it looks like this might be THE one. I will report back after December. :)
https://www.amazon.com/RFID-Blocking-Stainless-Fingerprint-Free-Protector/dp/B0194BHA6M/ is 1/2" thick (per a review) and holds 6 cards.
But personally, I'd use a 5 slot leather card holder for your described usage, which would be much thinner. Something similar to: https://www.amazon.com/MEKU-Pocket-Leather-Business-Minimalist/dp/B00YEEZJQI/
I think this one is close, except for the way the fold-out opens.

It is tho, I think the style they went for is the rugged masculine type, making it look distressed. But mine looks a bit over the top lol this is the Amazon link. https://www.amazon.sg/Fossil-Leather-Blocking-International-Combination/dp/B081R16H8W
It looks like it's £19.37 from https://www.amazon.co.uk/Butterfly-Wallet-Ultralight-Slim-Tri-Fold/dp/B003EM8BE8.
So, a little more expensive than in the US, but perhaps still worth it for the unique design. Good luck!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0719BVRJW looks like a really good, unique design. I like all the cards slots, and how the card stack on each other (don't step overlap).
The 3.5" x 2.75" size is pretty good.
What I DON'T like is the price, and the metal clasp.
Is there a leather wallet, mass produced (not custom made), that does not have the metal clasp, and is hopefully less expensive?
Thanks!
$16.99 when I bought it not that long ago, now $19.99 but worth trying out to see if you like that style.

I carried this Dopp wallet for a while. I’ve been thinking of going back to it actually. It’s super easy to store cash because it opens on one end and you can slide in bills that are folded in half. You may be able to get 10 cards in there as well.
Personally I carry this wallet from the Italian brand Giudi. Looks like they've changed the design to only open from the top, but mine opens from two sides like the Dopp one linked above.
I paid about $35 for mine and have been using it for six years so I don't regret that purchase at all, but I don't know if I can quite recommend it at the current listed price on Amazon, or with the international shipping you'd have to pay to get it straight from the brand's website.
I use a wallet that’s pretty much the same just off of American amazon. I hold 10 card and 10 banknotes so it might meet your needs.
Leather Milk is the best I have found.
Well i did try that, but they never are quite like I want it, like my old one. and also like I said, they always seems larger. too the only one I've find so far that seems to be pretty close to what i want, except, well, the id window are on the outside, wich is pretty horrible imo. I need this but with 1 id windows on the middle flap (also it's unavailable and seems cheap). https://www.amazon.ca/Genuine-Leather-Bifold-Wallet-Windows/dp/B01AYO5P60
If you can help and point me in the direction of something similar it would be greatly appreciated thanks!
Thanks! I lately have shifted all of my credit cards up a centimeter and it seems to protect the top edge a bit. I'll have to see how it plays out over the course of a couple of weeks.
By the way, is this kind of what you were referring to? It's not an awful idea. I don't like adding any bulk, but it may prove to be a necessary evil. Handing out cards that are all worn feels so unprofessional lol.
best solution-get both!
take the ridge wallet (tho there are some people against its quality)
and then stick a slim gps tracking tag for another 20$ onto it
also pls take the wallet which has a strap on it (not a metal money clip - those things are uncomfortable) and tack the sticker underneath it (or on the other side if he doesn't mind having it there on the carbon fiber)

Can’t comment too much as I’ve not had it long but I’m pretty impressed so far... It is a weird thing though walking around with a wallet that is so small and light!
I got this thing...it's indestructable
If that's too "slim" for you, this is the wallet I had previously. Thinner, lighter, and tougher than leather... and I like the style of it more as well.
I used to cycle a wallet every year or two (tough on them). I have both of these still in perfect condition. I expect them to last the rest of my life.

All of Tommy Hilfiger, surprisingly the Macy's as well lineup, have been pretty good. My trifold was a great deal and it's kept me satisfied for close to 6 years so far. $16 isn’t much to work with. Depending on how many cards you carry, you might want to check out Big Skinny or Allet in nylon rather than leather.

I’d try out the standard Knight Co wallet on amazon. Made in the USA at a reasonable price (sub $30). I got one for Christmas and it has worked really well. It includes an rfid top card but you can just toss that out. I use it for my work badge and gym badge and both scan without issue. It’s made of a durable stainless steel so it does not corrode. standard Knight chivalry wallet
Edit: fits all 3 of your criteria
I got this wallet recently and I love it so far. It's very slim and I have 7 cards in it plus cash comfortably. It can fit probably 2 more cards easily. Also they have other slim wallets that I like on their website.
