They do, and they do fit. Just look at the cover of this book. The werewolf in the middle is one of the guys from Verdun Manor at Thrillvania in Texas, and has been active in the fandom for a very long time. I've seen them at more than one convention.
Fursuits are much more than the "toony" ones. Many of us are aficionados of the "rarsuit", ones that are more realistic or monster-like in their designs.

Cool. Here's a link. It's a WIP, and I have about 15 chapters at this point. Any additional feedback you could provide would be much appreciated! Thanks!
I wrote one.
I would also recommend The Book of Werewolves by Sabine Baring-Gould if you are into history. While not entirely about werewolves, Bloodstoppers and Bearwalkers by Dorson & Leary covers the folklore of the loup garou in the Northwoods.
I wrote one. Modern Military Fantasy.

I wouldn't worry about feeling like you're copying anything if your werewolves have yellow eyes — I've never thought "Yellow eyes? On a werewolf? Get some new material.' Besides, I think it's common because yellow eyes are common among actual wolves. Anyway, depending on what you mean by old, this book (or something similar) might be helpful https://www.amazon.com/Werewolf-Lore-Legend-Dover-Occult/dp/0486430901/
Apparently editing is disabled here? Anyway, I did find some pictures of one of the werewolves that shows up at some furcons.

Hannah Priest made an amazing book on this topic. It’s called “She-wolf: A cultural history of female werewolves” a VERY good and informative read!
As a collector of werewolf lore I adore this book and prize it next to my other nonfiction werewolf books. Here’s a link: She-wolf: A cultural history of female werewolves https://www.amazon.com/dp/1526116898/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_O2l8Fb869B70T?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Steve Morris has actually written a werewolf apocalypse story with his Lycanthropic series, where a werewolf disease is spreading around the world.

When a wave of vicious attacks sweeps across London, there are reports of a Beast on the loose. There are fears of a Ripper stalking the streets. But the truth is more terrifying than anyone can imagine. Werewolves are prowling the city. Hunting and killing. Lycanthropy, a disease as old as humanity, now threatens to destroy civilization. With no cure, no vaccine, and millions of potential victims, it’s spreading through the capital at exponential rates. Can a young female police officer, a computer nerd, a genetic scientist and a group of South London teenagers do anything to stop its advance? The werewolf apocalypse is here, and it's only just beginning...
The Orphan, The Captive and The Beast by Robert Stallman is a beautifully written series with a unique take on shapeshifters.
