I am building one over at 20-things.com but it will take a few years to reach a nice level of usability. Feel free to join and contribute, user feedback is valuable to me. I plan to open source this as well.
Interesting what the site's original founder - Atko - said:
> Not okay, but at the same time, I never wanted it to be taken over by blatant trolls posing as racists, derailing a valuable channel for freedom of speech which could have been used to drive actual change. > I recently started https://20-things.com, do check it out, but beware: early alpha stage and with a set of rules to help keep it usable.
Unfortunately, he looks to have compromised on his original principles. I quote:
> No hate speech, harassment and bullying > Do not engage in any of the following: > Offensive, inappropriate, or unwanted comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, or age, or other protected categories under applicable law. > Visual harassment eg. sexual imagery or use of sexual language > Disrespect towards differences of opinion > Deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording > Sustained disruption of talks or other events > Inappropriate or unwanted physical contact > Intimidation or bullying (online or in-person) > Unwelcome sexual attention

I heard that the source code breach will not pose any threats https://www.zdnet.com/article/valve-says-its-safe-to-play-csgo-and-tf2-after-source-code-leaked-online/ so all is good :) Also the site is 20-things.com if you want to check it out, but you really don't have to, you've already entered the giveaway by posting your comment. Good luck and hang in there!
It is still being developed, so I don't really have a definite answer. I can say how I use it: I share interesting articles I find while browsing the web or if friends send me links to such articles. I also use it to share photos I take with my phone (I post them to https://20-things.com/category?categoryId=5) and I also use it to post my random thoughts. I have many ideas for how to further develop it and will keep working on it on the side.
Edit: I cannot create an account on 20-things.com because the country that i live in is not listed (Myanmar) so this comment is irrelevant.
I am going to take my chances. If i win, i would definitely spend a portion of the money on Enter the Gungeon, which i have played extensively but did not have the money to buy it on steam and support the devs.
The rest of the money would either be spent on games for me and a few friends to enjoy quarantine or other time intensive games so i can power through quarantine.
This is still very early stage (hoping to be able to launch in December this year) and many features are missing (such as threaded comments).
The Frontpage is limited to 20 things and auto-scrolling (endless scrolling) is not used, hoping to allow users to "get their fix" and not get lost in the content rabbit hole.
Signups require a valid SMS-capable phone number and some 40 countries are supported at this stage. Each user signup comes at a cost and I hope to achieve quality engagement and content rather than quantity.
By requiring a phone number (twitter and others seem to have this too), I hope to deter users with bad intentions. I hope to build a community where diversity is embraced and celebrated and users are kind and respectful of other viewpoints and ideas.
It would mean a lot if you could try it out and provide constructive feedback/thoughts/ideas.
Tech stack: ASP.NET MVC+SQL and several other amazing libs/things credited at https://20-things.com/about.
Thank you.
