For instagram, you want to go to the website www.picbear.com/ [instagram name] or just go there and type the name in and it will give you a layout where you can just open and save the pictures. There are lots of sites like this but that's the one I use for this particular type of download lol.
Your other option (which I also use) is to download the program 4kstogram from https://www.4kdownload.com/products/product-stogram . Now, 4kstogram let's you add instagram accounts to it, and it will pull all the videos and photos from those instagram accounts. I have mine set to refresh every minute (because women sometimes post stuff then have regrets ;) ) but there are multiple settings. It only works on public accounts but you can add your instagram login information to it and it'll be able to pull from the private accounts that you have access to on that account.

You can use 4K Stogram to download videos from Instagram.
As Instagram often adds new changes, it is difficult to support with 4K Video Downloader.
In the past I've used 4K Stogram for getting images which have a certain hashtag https://www.4kdownload.com/products/product-stogram
Other way is to create and use a facebook developer account. I did work that way too, but I had to write scripts to download images from the data the facebook graph explorer api gives. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-api/guides/hashtag-search/
instaloader is the big one but it's commandline, no gui.
before i used instaloader i used a paid GUI tool from 4k

If you're not techie enough to handle something like InstaLooter, 4k Stogram makes this really easy. It's a "set it and forget it" thing. The free version can only collect up to 3 profiles, though.
