Bulletstorm is fantastic and anything that gives more people a chance to play it is fine by me (are we just finding out that Gearbox is involved with the IP? I can't believe I would have missed that).
The website mentions a "New Overkill Campaign Mode" that basically sounds like New Game+, which is nice. Also the Duke Nukem content is for the entire campaign, and you have to pre-order to get it...To be honest that part is kind of a head-scratcher for me but I suppose it will appeal to someone.
I think it sounds awesome. This is a weird comparison, but does anybody remember the game Bulletstorm? One of the modes was a time trial, but you also got some style points, with the goal being to combine the style points and speed for the best possible score.
They released a demo for XBox 360 and I must have played it (the demo, 1 level that took about 3-5 minutes) 50 times trying to improve my top score. It's kind of a throwback to oldschool arcade games. I can see that many people don't have this mentality, and don't enjoy competing with the clock, but some of us do.
Remember, we're all different. Some of us even like Set Dungeons.
Hi -- I'm Joe, and I'm a community manager at Gearbox. We got lots of feedback on the way the voiceover was syncing, so the team went back and made some pretty big improvements that will be coming to the game soon. You can see a video on the Bulletstorm blog that shows how far its come: http://bulletstorm.com/blog-en/make-it-rain-bullets-bulletstorm-full-clip-edition-has-arrived/
All that said, I hate that the game didn't quite hit the mark for you, but we genuinely appreciate your feedback on this!
this site says it's available to pre load. Assuming you checked your "purchased" tab in the library and you weren't able to download, you may need to wait until tomorrow.
