Based on the reaction to this patch, it seems people actually wanted to spend hours jumping in, killing a goblin, and remaking the game.

Fair enough, if that's what you want to do, then that's what you want to do, and I'm sure you can find games that do that. Here's a suggestion for a game where you can repeatedly hit something that can't fight back to your hearts content.

However, the D3 devs have been saying continuously that they were trying to avoid this sort of gameplay; it is essentially a boss run, and they have specifically said that they don't want people playing like that. I literally do not understand how people have not managed to grasp this idea.

i have mouse with 2 side buttons:

left mouse button moves (while kept down)

right mouse activates armor (once in a while, for example each elite pack)

mouse wheel click teleports (rush)

sidebuttons are occasional, only for Rift Guardian (for TX13/subGR70 i don't use these in between, just once at the end)

no need for keyboard at all. one hand plays and the other one holds my beer-

for TX13/sub70 i swap aquila for stuarts in the cube, don't need them. for groups, use RoRG, and use aquiala or stuarts. (the other one in the cube).

i ran few 75-s with current setup, so used aquila instead of stuards just because i was too lazy to bother with avoiding damage.

sure, it's not for pushing, it's for lazy runs. i did GR81 @ 7min or so. prolly tops out at around 85 without GG gearing.

You can just look at mine to compare (as of posting using impale build), just from a quick glance you are lacking a lot of offense stats compared to mine as you can see my damage stat is double yours.

Rings should always take both crit change/dmg stats (one of mine still lacks it).

Your amulet lacks crit chance and still had potential to reach higher crit damage.

Missing crit chance on wrists. Also the bracers I have increase your damage after you vault stun enemies which greatly increases your damage.

More ancient gear for more stats.

Using a pain enhancer gem increases your attack speed. Not sure on the data but it probably goes better than a bane of powerful (since guides suggest pain for higher grifts)

I bought my copy on g2a.com. It looks like they've got the global version for $28.05 right now...so about $12 cheaper than Blizzard. I played Act V one time and it's been adventure mode ever since.

Hello! It's been a while since I posted a vid here, since I was waiting to clear something worth posting, so here it finally is. Spec and everything is basically the same as my 105-107 clears last season.

Since I know someone will ask it, no, I didn't forget the one enslaved nightmare, I just chose not to chase it around and skip the pack. I did eventually kill the other 2 but chasing those ranged mobs when you're basically fighting 5 mobs in total is never a good idea so I just made the decision to skip it and look for progress elsewhere.

Unsure prices of certifying patches for PS4, but XB1/xb360 is now free. It still takes time for the cert process on console and isn't easy as releasing a patch on PC.

Edit: So just looked up prices on cert, MS only gave an official announcement the free patches are for xbox360. This was prior to XB1 launch and no commented were made on XB1 cert prices. They are speculated to be free on XB1 though.

Basically everytime you log in you need another set of passkey which the authenticator provides before you can log in.

The game will prompt you to enter the passkey whenever you log in from a new location.

Blizzard also locks your account if you log in from a suspicious location.

Yeah, Halo of Karini is really what you need. Basically you are already doing great, you got a poor roll on your bracers (76%), no augments I could see and mostly non-ancient gear, legendary gems only at 60, so GR 85 is awesome already!

The getting one-shot part is certainly helped/avoided by getting Unity & Halo of Karini (the latter in cube generally). So yeah you would have to replace the helmet for unity probably. Firebirds is a bit different, you should switch if you prefer the style, especially since you haven't augmented yet.

The follower just needs the 'doesn't die' relic, the rest is flavour: I like having a setup like this on my templar, as you can see I haven't rolled strength or anything on him, just a good oculus and nice CC weapon: just by unity and karini I pushed 92 yesterday without shield bracers.

I'd suggest trying different legendary gems.

Whilst you have Enforcer, you are missing Zei's Stone of Vengeance, which is 50% or more damage whilst you are at far range which is exactly where you should be, it also procs your Krysbin's and you could be using Esoteric Alteration for the huge non-physical damage reduction.

The build you are running requires you to be at the edge of the screen, really far away from mobs and just let your mages pound them down. You shouldn't be taking damage from anything major, being sure to focus the ranged mobs first.

Looking more specifically, get Reaper's Wraps or Nemesis Bracers instead of Lacuni, you need to replace your weapon as whilst it is ancient it misses +essence, and with Reilena's cubed that's up to 10% damage missing plus some extra, that's really big.

You can take a look at my same-build Necro for comparison just here but there are definitely things you can change up. :).

take off hexing and complete shadow set, completely change jewelry (compass rose/traveler's pledge equipped and either CoE or Elusive Ring equipped and the other one cubed), cube Dawn to get Vengeance full uptime (with gogok stack, helm gem and shoulder CDR) get an emerald on the weapon

• Your Templar isn't geared at all. You NEED him. Freeze of Deflection, Thunderfury, Wyrdward, Ess of Johann, Oculus Ring, Enchanting Favor. Priorize Block%, Attack Speed, CDR . You might want to swap Intervene for Heal.
• Your Hellfire Amulet is about useless, BTW, you need Awareness to reduce the frequency of your deaths.
• General: +Armor affixes are useless for DH. You already get a lot of it from Dexterity
• General: Life% affixes are useless until you have a shitload of Vitality - which you don't (see http://d3resource.com/health/ ). You can get +25% Life from Paragon points, and until you are at around 6K Vitality, you'll get more benefit from stacking Vit.
• General: Life Per Second affixes are useless, period.
• On your helmet, Crit Chance will likely provide you with a better damage buff than Multishot.
• You haven't levelled your Legendary Gems for a while. Your LGems should be at or above the level of the highest GR you've successfully completed. EDIT: Ditto for augments, if you're running into a wall
• Your rings are kind of bad. Priority is Socket, Crit Damage, Cooldown Reduction / Crit Chance, Crit Chance / Attack Speed (or Crit Chance / Area Damage), Ancient status

It looks like that PC is basically a laptop in a desktop case.

Neither the CPU nor the Videocard meet minimum requirements.

It might run, but it's probably not going to provide a very good experience.

I've played through to Nightmare act II on Ubuntu. To run the updater you have to use a patched wine.

Run winetricks vcrun2008 on a clean prefix and start the game with wine Diablo\ III.exe -launch. I'm using Nvidia's proprietary driver and playing at 2560x1440 with all settings max on a GTX 550 Ti.

Edit: Also, Unity works with it but I found it can halve my framerate sometimes. Unity 2D doesn't have this problem.

Here's the thing. If you are in Brazil, but say the other players are in America, there's some latency, we know that. If you get a VPN in America however, you lose the latency from the game server to the other players in America, yes. But at the same time, you increase your latency from your home connection the VPN, which is much further away. Instead of having to have latency to the players and the server, you have latency to the VPN itself. So, while you lose latency in one area, you gain it in another. You still have to have the latency to connect to America in the first place, you're just relocating the point of latency.

That being said, you might get marginal improvements from a VPN, although they won't be significant.

While of course you Can do this, I don't recommend it. All it does it close the explorer window within Windows (As if that's not confusing). Closing Explorer.exe will do nothing to help speed your system up, in fact it will just close literally everything you see except your background. The way I got it was to start a public game, wait for people to join, asked them if they'll help you with it. It took me 2 pubs and I finally got all 5 of them. You've got to ask nicely and maybe die first for someone.

Yes they have, there is an article about how they're making Dark Souls II way more friendly for mouse and keyboard, I personally have an xbox 360 controller for my pc. so i havent tried DS with just my mouse and keyboard yet, but according to everyone who has, its awful.

I think it sounds awesome. This is a weird comparison, but does anybody remember the game Bulletstorm? One of the modes was a time trial, but you also got some style points, with the goal being to combine the style points and speed for the best possible score.

They released a demo for XBox 360 and I must have played it (the demo, 1 level that took about 3-5 minutes) 50 times trying to improve my top score. It's kind of a throwback to oldschool arcade games. I can see that many people don't have this mentality, and don't enjoy competing with the clock, but some of us do.

Switch Land of the Dead to Army of the Dead. Your set bonus lowers the CD of AotD when minions hit, not LotD.

I suggest you change blood rush to bone armor for the big increase in survivability.

Some gear advice: Change ruby to emerald in your weapon. 130% Crit dmg will give you tons of damage.

Chest: Reroll skeleton damage to +vit

Pants: Roll bone spike damage to +vit

Boots: Roll life/sec to +skeletal mage damage

Amulet: Roll attack speed % to +% physical damage

Krysbin ring: You rerolled a secondary perk so its pretty meh now. Try to get one with (ideally) +int, +CHD, +CC, socket

Weapon: Roll attack speed to +% weapon damage.

Shield: Try to find a new one with +int, +Crit chance and some defensive stuff.

Try to get a tasker and theo to put in the cube!

thats my solo build tho, changing withcing hour for a curse belt with 450 int I still dont think that that high dps is req to do a proper Speed run 90, but thats just my 2 ct ;)

Hey, I think you should be able to do level 60-70 without too much of a problem. Your gems are lacking on levels which is gonna make pushing any higher a problem. Also you want to try and get +life for health globes and potions on most of your gear instead of pickup. That will make your Mantra of Healing even more effective, which you should be using over Mantra of Salvation.

Grind act 2 bounties for some Illusory Boots with dex on them, unless you want the all res which i don't think is needed with Esoteric Alteration.

I prefer using Inner Sanctuary with Temple of Protection rune, allowing you to be immune to CC while clumping mobs is invaluable to me over the healing that people receive from standing in it.

Your Hellfire, Oculus, and Strongarm Bracers should be priority to upgrade in my opinion. Try getting a Hellfire that has one of your current passives so you can switch in Chant of Resonance for example, will let you spam your Mantra without worrying about running out of spirit. An Oculus with higher passive roll, vit and cdr would be ideal, followed by a better rolled Strongarm.

I'm currently pushing 2 man level 98 rifts with a Rathma Necro mate. This is my Monk.

Tried this yesterday, and I can go up to GR70 with this build without trouble (up to GR65 the clear time is 2.5-4 minutes). Running around and mobs die - so nice, so little effort. T13 rifts I can usually kill the lowest of trash in 1 hit, slighlty tougher mobs in a few more hits. Elites and what not take a longer.

That is in solo, if you were in a party the health increase of mobs would be noticeable and it would take longer to kill stuff which would feel slow.

Just to point out if you missed it but I am using a few items for survivability otherwise I would be equipping more DPS options but at the risk of dying from one shots.

I have an impale set as well, the tradeoff between the two is that UE MS is better at clearing mobs at a lower difficulty but if you increase the difficulty you are better off going with impale and hunting elites since it is primarily a single target burst build.

Impale also has the bonus of being able to clear higher grifts with relatively plain shadow gear. For UE MS to do that, you'd need much better gear.

If you want to do T13 rifts in groups you are better off going with impale for the faster single target bursting as the increase of health makes UE MS less appealing.

But if you want or don't mind farming at a lower difficulty such as 10-12, then you could go with UE MS where your 1 shooting ability will be higher due to the lower health.

edit: oh yea, I haven't augmented any of my gear, if I did do it, I'd probably have quite a boost in damage which would allow for increased difficulty.

Yes, singularity Skeleton Mages. Cleared GR90 a few minutes ago (Rank 330 EU) with 700 paragon, 6 Ancients and one lvl 50 Augmentation My Profile.

I could probably go higher, but i think more caldesan/ paragon will smoothen this (since i don't fish for rifts). I'm uploading the video atm, i can link it to you if you want.

I use this build to farm T13 all the time, its super fast. Sure you need your gems leveled but it will work without ancient gear too.

Trash dies quick and then you can explode the corpses. Once you have decent gear you fly thru the rift with barely any effort. I like Rathmas for Gr-pushing but not as a standard farm build, i want my farming to be comfortable =)

Here's what I'm using for t4 on my probably the most unlucky character ever. Nothing ever drops. Basically 0set (2x inna doesn't count, it's not that good)

Open the D3Prefs.txt file in the Diablo III folder in your Documents, find the PlayedCuscenes lines and change them so that they say:

PlayedCutscene0 "31"

PlayedCutscene1 "31"

PlayedCutscene2 "23"

PlayedCutscene3 "143"

Then save the file and start the game. All the cutscenes should be there! This unlocks ALL cutscenes though, even RoS ones so be careful about which you choose to watch. EDIT: Apparently this doesn't unlock RoS scenes afterall, I'm just getting horribly mixed up.

dont be too greedy with double resist, all resist is more than enough at start.

my sugestions are:

-main hand axe 1100+ dps, str and socket

-off hand dagger sword 400+ dps str life on hit cdamage socket (vit and life steal if u can would be a nice adiciton)

-rings str vit critical rate then u chose from critical damge or all resist , personally i dont have resist on jewelery since they start being expensive with such a perfect roll

-immortal kings boots, cheap and usefull

-shoulders with 200+ str, 50+ vit, 65+ all resist, armour.

remenber that a ww barb regens quickly but low hp u get one shotted before it happens, invest a litle more in health

These statements entail personal anecdotes, which are undependable at best. Do these people provide a before/after measurement of temperatures? I highly doubt so. This is the internet so all recommendations, including mine, should be taken very carefully.

That said, I have used This one for years on an i7 gaming laptop and a MacBook Pro. This bad boy is still going strong under the laptop connected to my TV.

But if I were to buy one today, I would go with This one. I would trust the result I derive from 10k amazon customer reviews more than just one negative anecdote, as that specific negative event could have had other factors leading to that result.

You're right that it may not take up much space to keep your game alive, if all they were concerned about was you only.

I don't have the hard numbers, but in March this year, Blizz had sold 15 million copies of the game across all consoles.

For the sake of argument, let's pretend that a third of those still play actively, and out of those, as had been happening previously, you have 1 million unique log-ins per day, and out of those daily log-ins, 10% of them crash, that would mean that daily, Blizz would have to hold open 100,000 games . . . daily.

I found this very small and free program called SwapMouseButtons here http://download.cnet.com/SwapMouseButtons/3000-2056_4-10053869.html

Once installed, pressing F12 will switch your right and left mouse buttons (this works globally across your computer, not just in Diablo). On the offchance that you have a keyboard that doesn't have an F12 key, you can put the program in your task bar. Simply click it to swap the buttons.

So I was in the same boat as you are right now. About 5-6 days ago me and my friend were looking at games we could play together and he suggested Diablo 3. I was against it because I had bought Diablo 3 and saw it as a waste of money, it just wasn't fun to me. Definitely not as good as first or second game. But then he said that he bought ROS and that I should too. He spent 3 hrs trying to convince me, Finally it worked, I caved and bought it off of G2A for cheap. And so I started new charechters with him and i have to be honest i've logged at least 40 hrs in the past 5-6 days on diablo 3 alone because of ROS. Its so fun, rifts are fun, adventure mode is fun( I love the bounty boxes), Bloodshards are a neat way to get good items(got me 3 firebird pieces). Its amazing and the best $20 usd ive spent in the past 6 months.

Tl;DR It's amazing get it. If you dont you are crazy.

SC2 had an alirght story i agree and story im not arguing in these games. None of the blizzard games where a WOW thats a great story to me. The lore of all blizzard games is pretty awesome though.

They had some bad maps which i agree, but im not a big pvp person for SC2. The single player experience was great, and getting all the hardest achievements was a ton of fun. The satisfaction from beating the game on the hardest difficulty made SC2 easily worth it for me.

The chat on d3 is fine, there is however no reason to trade or create a community because of the AH.

Starcraft 2 needed tons of multiplayer patches to make it better for pvp, but the core single player was there to tide you over until then. Right now i have to level up a different class because they made my barb unplayable at inferno. So im suppose to just wait a few months for them to finish the balancing?

Theoretically, yes you can do this although its more complex than just having the whole game on a ramdisk.

Because you only want to put parts of the game on the ramdisk you would need to create junction points between the HD installation and the ramdisk.

simply put the files in that rar into your diablo 3 directory (make sure you delete all files from previous instalations of Reshade or SweetFx or DarkD3 to avoid conflicts)

Note that the version I have uses Master Effects instead of SweetFX since Master Effects can do all that sweetfx does and more. You can tweak, remove or add effects by editing the mastereffect.h file that will be put into your D3 directory.

You can toggle the effects on/off using the END key on your keyboard to quickly look at the changes.
