Have been using Fluent Search instead of Everything by voidtools since last month. Both of these are excellent searching tools.
Fluent search goes beyond basic searching. It's a must have for a poweruser.
Windows 11 search does seem to be better but I have not played with it much. I can tell you that if you want hands down the fasts and best search results (that even allows you to search your web history and favorite all in one place) with a sleek AF ui then you have to try Fluent search (https://www.fluentsearch.net/). Make sure to spend a moment to configure it (ie go to system and turn on performance, put search delay to low etc). Also Listary V6 Beta is another blisteringly fast search app. These two absolutely SHAME microsoft's built in search and are even heads and shoulders above Mac Os built in spotlight and even the Alfred app for Mac (considered a very fast searching and indexing service). So ya, in short, just go get Fluent. Both Fluent and Listary V6 beta are free. I've tried Evertyhing, Wox, PowerToys Run and many more, these two stand tall among the rest (though those other programs are great too).
I haven't used Windows search in years because it just sucks. I've been using Everything search for as long as I can remember.
There's also a new tool that's been created by a guy that works for Microsoft called Fluent Search
Its still in development so he's working on it daily, but he has a discord server and listens to feedback on bugs, features etc. I'd highly recommend trying it out
About Wox/Everything, try this search app from a MS dev. Still in beta but very promising. The official website https://www.fluentsearch.net/
The discord channel to get beta releases https://discord.gg/XrZ99kbE
Listary is way better, although dev seems to be missing. It's indexing is much faster, brings search results much faster, and adds a search bar on the save as/open dialogs. There's also this (https://www.fluentsearch.net/blog) from a Microsoft dev). Better than PowerToys Run but slower than Listary.
