PowerToys is set to include a Video/GIF capture tool in the future. Hopefully this will be integrated into the OS as other toys have been after it's fully developed.
For those who don't know, PowerToys is Microsoft's experimental set of tools for power users, and the current windowing options in Windows 11 are based on work done for one of the tools called FancyZones.
https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/wiki/Video-GIF-Capture
If you want more on this, see here.
But really, were it not for Microsoft abusing their power and arbitrarily refusing to sign anything that's licensed under GPLv3, it would have been signed years ago...
Also, the official page is https://rufus.ie.
Download Link (Microsoft Store)
It is forked version of 7zip but with windows 11 context menu support. You can checkout it's GitHub repo here.
If it is not showing option in context menu for some reason then you can try turning on Tools > Options > Settings > Show system menu and restarting file explorer should work.
I have been using nana zip since before others started recommending it, (I had found it looking through github) and haven't had any crashes or instabilities. Nanazip can be found here(GitHub) and here (MSStore)
Oh, thank god. The icons look a bit blurry this way, but it's much better than the large taskbar. The small taskbar is a must on ultrawide monitors.
They've unfortunately linked this CPU list directly on the Windows 11 consumer page.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11
Scroll to the bottom and click the compatible CPUs link. It puts you immediately onto the OEM-looking list of CPUs.
You're probably running an older version of neofetch. They added Win 11 logo 8 days ago and people don't seem to be complaining about it.
Feature deprecations and removals:
Start layout is not currently resizable
Also: Taskbar: Alignment to the bottom of the screen is the only location allowed :(
It can be installed from the Store, and already available on Beta which is basically the same OS as the stable. You can "hack" it on stable if you want.
The reason to make it available later is to make it better through testing on the insider program (so no OS feature upgrade dependency).
Interestingly, I use it every day as well and would often benefit from having the ability to enter text and describe something I'm trying to explain to someone. I usually paste the snip into PowerPoint, add the text and maybe an arrow pointing at something, and then re-snip to send.
I use to use GreenShot and Snagit and it's nice to be able to do this kinda thing: https://getgreenshot.org/assets/screenshots/07-adding-annotations.png
https://winaero.com/remove-open-in-windows-terminal-context-menu-in-windows-10/
I used this for Windows 11 and it works.
Even more so, the only reason Microsoft allowed insiders that don’t meet the requirements to upgrade to Windows 11 is because the latest dev builds of Windows 10 had stuff that they decided to move to a new OS and they couldn’t tell insiders to just clean install Windows 10 although they are on a Windows 10 dev build. So they pushed them to upgrade to Windows 11 so it doesn’t look that bad. Microsoft had been deliberately unclear about the fate of unsupported hardware to cause more confusion and unnecessary debate. And fanboys made sure nobody can speak up about it.
The new Windows 11 specs page is even more clear about Microsoft’s intentions
> If your device does not meet these requirements, you may not be able to install Windows 11 on your device and might want to consider purchasing a new PC.
No “consider upgrading your CPU or TPM”, rather “purchasing a new PC”. What many don’t understand is that Windows users don’t expect a macOS like experience where the OS is locked down to specific hardware, rather an OS that would work on any configuration and users will gladly pay for the OS upgrade. Instead this new model is hurting users that want to build their own PCs, probably with an affordable yet still powerful 7th gen processor.
>Taskbar functionality is changed including:
>
> - People is no longer present on the Taskbar.
>
> - Some icons may no longer appear in the System Tray (systray) for
upgraded devices including previous customizations.
>
> - Alignment to the bottom of the screen is the only location allowed.
>
> - Apps can no longer customize areas of the Taskbar.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications#primaryR4
It's not clear what "this" is that you're trying to do?
Is it to just stack your windows side by side with that layout? As the new snapping features actually kinda do that.
If you want this specific layout download Microsoft PowerToys and use the FancyZones features.
I like Ventoy too and I really like the concept, however Ventoy with Secure Boot doesn't work well on many systems. As the developer says:
Secure Boot was supported from Ventoy 1.0.07, but the solution is not perfect enough. So, from ventoy 1.0.09, an option for secure boot is added in Ventoy2Disk.exe/Ventoy2Disk.sh and default is disabled. So, by default, you need to disable secure boot in BIOS before booting Ventoy in UEFI mode.
If you want, you can turn it on when installing or updating Ventoy. For Ventoy2Disk.exe in menu Option-->Secure Boot for Ventoy2Disk.sh it's -s option.
If you run into some error after turning it on (for example Linpus lite boot failed error), maybe the solution doesn't work with your machine, so you need to turn off the option, and disable secure boot in BIOS.
If it works well with your machine, that's good news. But you still need to do as follows for the first time.
Check out Rainmeter. It uses skins that are applied to your desktop. I'm not sure if there are any that utilize the taskbar but there's plenty of options out there I have yet to try out. You can add widgets for current media playing, visualizers, CPU/GPU/RAM monitoring, etc. Hope this helps.
Or maybe MS should just fix their automated Store certification process because FYI, we already have a submission QA especially for apps with similar names in winget. The process is half-automated by a bot that automatically adds a PR comment for app manifests with similar name to an existing, verified package.
https://github.com/microsoft/winget-cli
There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO reason why Store certification process should be LESS SECURE than winget.
The community can help but man, they already relegated Windows QA to the Insider community and now they will also relegate cleanup of a proprietary app store to the community? Dude, they should just open source Windows at this point if the community is the one who will always do the dirty work.
Use FancyZones from PowerToys. It can do tiling windows (which are rounded on Windows 11) with gaps and it will allow you to override the built-in snap feature.
WinAeroTweaker, winaero.com has a section for Windows 11 and this one of the fixes (in fact it's first in the list).
There is also another whole section for the Context Menu.
It's free and just a great program. I've used it for many years. You can backup your settings and if you have another pc you can import those settings. And if you don't like your changes you can reset the OS back to it's default settings.
They will not remove it since it's purpose is to spam you with ads like you can see if you watch the video on eWaste 11 page : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11
> What’s the difference between Windows 10 and Windows 11?
> Windows 11 has all the power and security of Windows 10 with a redesigned and refreshed look.
>Start is significantly changed in Windows 11 including the following key deprecations and removals:
>Named groups and folders of apps are no longer supported and the layout is not currently resizable.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications
At least by "layout is not current resizable" it sounds like they plan on adding that in the future, but it sounds like the names are gone for good.
Mine aren't grouped. I used WinAeroTweaker, winaero.com to fix the taskbar. They've added a new section just for Windows 11 tweaks.
It was pretty frigging awful at first. Took me a few hours of digging and trying different things before I got things the way I wanted. Sorta the way I want them.
I'm hoping Open Shell gets the start menu fixed eventually. I didn't like StarDock's Start11. Maybe it will improve some as well.
Right now I'm using Start Is Back. There are 3 start menu configurations to choose from. It also has some settings that affected the taskbar. I wasn't happy with what it did but I've figured it out.
I had to enable Win 11's transparency to get the taskbar to finally look decent. I don't like it 100% transparent. And I finally found the setting to have the taskbar pick up the wallpaper's accent colors.
I'm worn out and have to "fix" another laptop.
Good luck with getting it the way you want it.
>show more options menu the default instead
You can follow this guide to enable that: https://winaero.com/how-to-enable-full-context-menus-in-windows-11/
Right, apps doesn't support features will just get thrown out. Like, there's already 7zip fork, that supports the new context menu — https://github.com/M2Team/NanaZip (store: https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9N8G7TSCL18R)
Windows 11 requires the system to be secure boot *capable*, not to have it enabled.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications
DEV and Beta are two different things.
You cannot opt out of DEV (in theory it's possible but in practice if won't happen). The only way to opt out of DEV channel is to do a fresh install of PROD build.
You can use this, to get rig of watermark: https://winaero.com/download-universal-watermark-disabler/ but it won't change the fact that you will be on a DEV build, which is and will be full of bugs.
The list of removed features Here are not coming back.
Everything else is just not there due to lack of time, we haven’t been given it yet, or is coming.
Microsoft has not given an official release date.
Secure Boot cooperates with your motherboard's UEFI platform to ensure that the boot loader files are digitally signed by Microsoft every time you start your computer and attempt to load Windows. This protects you from malware that attempts to mess around with files related to this.
The easiest way to get Secure Boot working correctly is to reinstall Windows.
Please back up your files etc. to some other media before you start!
This involves the following steps:
Congratulations—your computer should now be a little more resilient to malware (and hopefully compatible with Windows 11!).
They do have a style guide with exact spacing and sizing guidelines for every WinUI component in windows including the titlebar. https://www.figma.com/community/file/989931624019688277
The main problem here is that UWP doesn't officially support icons in the titlebar, so the developers need to hack it in on an app-by-app basis.
Files is pretty amazing, and it shows that the file explorer question is largely one of resources.
Files has over 125 contributors with more than a dozen of them having committed over 1000 lines of code.
What are the odds that the File Explorer team at MS has had over 125 developers contribute to it in the past two years, and has more than a dozen who make regular and substantial contributions?
> If there is a version in that language but it only works for old operating systems.
and then...
> I currently have W11 and Word 97
I dont get it... why Word 97? If you run Windows 11 and want an Office alternative why not something Libre Office? https://www.libreoffice.org/
WinAeroTweaker (free), winaero.com, lets you move it to the top. Not sure of the results you'll get.
WinAero is my favorite piece of software. I've been using it since Windows 7. It's a must have for me.
It detects which version of Windows you're using and gives you settings for it. They've added a Win 11 section.
If you're not happy with your changes you can reset the OS to it's defaults.
WinAeroTweaker, winaero.com. It's free and I've used it for many years. It has a new section for Windows 11. If it's annoying you WinAero probably has a fix for it.
It gave me back my taskbar! And there are so many wonderful settings/tweaks/fixes.
Not that I was consciously trying for it, but if you saw my laptop, you'd probably ask me when I was going to upgrade to 11.
I'm using Start11 and have my 10 Start Menu back (winaero has a backup for the start menu settings). And WinAero gave me my taskbar back. Display Fusion put a taskbar on both my monitors. I've used Display Fusion for years, but this is the first time I've let it manage my taskbars.
I tried StartAllBack and it caused a problem for me. I'm a minority of 1 in that I don't like transparency. Took me a lot of searching to fix the transparency and get it back to being opaque.
So I decided to go back to Start11 after their Win 10 start menu update. Plus I have lots of Windows Start Buttons I collected when I was using Classic Shell and they all work with Start11.
WinAeroTweaker, winaero.com, has a tweak for this. I've used it for many many years. It's free! They've added a section for Win 11. You can backup your settings and use it to set up another pc with the same settings. I just used it myself to set up my 2 laptops.
If you don't like your changes you can reset the OS to it's defaults.
There are hopes we'll get an option to disable recommended section in future builds unless Microsoft decides to force it on us
Yes, it is since 19H2. You can disable it then via mach2, but it can't be disabled since 20H1. I'm not the only one complaining: https://winaero.com/restore-classic-search-in-file-explorer-in-windows-10-version-1909/
It may be because your account was flagged "yes" during the A/B testing phase in 2018/2019. It can also be enabled manually: https://winaero.com/force-enable-windows-10-settings-top-header/
Too bad they never did enable it for all users.
I hate to tell you this, but 22000.194 is the final RTM version. It was released last night (UK also)
Regarding removing and disabling unwanted apps and services. Their is a little tool called O&O Shutup10 which does all of that for you with one click and without the need to install anything. Latest version supports Win 11. Simply download and run the .exe file
Regarding the driver issues you are having it may take some time for Samsung to update their site with new ones suitable for Win 11. I did manage to locate drivers on Github for Win 10, they should work but I can't possibly comment on why they appear slower for you just now. Anyway you can get the Win 10 drivers from here.
Hope this helps
> More details about the current setup requirements for Insiders are in the linked blog post.
The linked requirements seemed to change literally three minutes ago.
Propably from the link from Known Issues about deprecated stuff.
>[REMINDER] When upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10 or when installing an update to Windows 11, some features may be deprecated or removed. See details here.
But yeah, it's not directly from this patch notes.
>Snipping Tool continues to be available but the old design and functionality in the
Windows 10 version has been replaced with those of the app previously
known as Snip & Sketch.
From https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications
I'm not sure if these changes are in the Insider preview yet as I don't have Snipping Tool installed.
You didn't check out the latest specs which says that you need TPM 2.0 & compatible CPU (Intel 8th Gen or later, AMD Ryzen 2nd gen or later). They removed soft floor and they made it into hard floor.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications
i am not invading a meme subreddit with facts but that's not what she said. she said nobody else had the ability to go switch back and forth between saved tiling.
13:14 - she carefully said "Bringing multiple windows back together".
Would love it, perfect for addition to https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys
the problem with that is there are too many types of context menus, I think they are more than 30-40 different types, depending on location, filetype and other parameters
you can zip together the apk and obb folder together and rename the extension to XAPK then use XAPK installer to install the obb and apk
though you'd have to adb push the XAPK file into the download folder in '/sdcard/Download' as thats really the only folder that opens in the XAPK installer.. at least that's what I do sinceeverytime I tried pushing the apps obb folder into 'android/obb' it would always give me some sort of permission error
edit: weird, reviews on XAPK installer talk about uploading the files.... never even had to do that when I used it :/ , to be on the safe side op just use whatever method works that doesn't look suspicious to you lol
Who downloads gimp from the browser when reinstalling windows?
Ninite ftw. Just check the boxes, download the installer, let 'er rip while you go do something else for 30 minutes.
If Microsoft goes ahead and blocks updates on unsupported hardware... I'm sure someone out there will build a third-party Windows 11 update application (it already exists for older Windows), since all Windows updates can be downloaded individually anyway. So that new 3rd-party application can download those and update Windows by itself.
This feature already exists for Windows Store apps. Microsoft is not going to bend over backwards to get legacy side-loaded apps to work just as nicely. They actually want publishers to go through their store and to stop doing distribution using 3rd party installers from their websites.
As an aside, legacy installation frameworks number in the dozens. It would be a nightmare feature to write because it would upend how shortcuts work (as previously stated) and Microsoft has no incentive to do it.
If you just want WSA with the Amazon app store, try this guide. If you want Google apps integrated, use this github repo to generate a script that automatically installs everything.
Yep the dots have been around since Windows 8, but on the Dev channel they recently changed it to be a nicer looking comet thing
While trying to find a gif to show you, I found these instructions that claim to enable it, you can try it for yourself:
https://winaero.com/how-to-enable-new-boot-animation-in-windows-11/
WinAeroTweaker, winaero.com, added a Win11 section and it's always had a section for the context menu. I have lots of things added to my context menu like: sfc /scannow, explorer.exe restart, create a restore point. Things I use often and now they are even handier. It's my favorite piece of software.
You can export/import you settings. I used that to easily set up my other laptop. I like them have the same settings. If you don't like the changes you can reset the OS back to it's defaults.
WinAeroTweaker, winaero.com can give you the context menu back. There's a section for Windows 11 (first thing is the context menu) and a whole section further down for the context menu with lots of tweaks. And it's free. I've used it for many years.
I have one weather widget on my phone and using Wolf Launcher I have the same weather widget on my FireStick TV. I remember when widgets were new and amazing. And then somewhere along the way I got over them. It was pretty quick, too. I think it's call a phase! I went through it and I'm over it.
If you want some for your desktop, here are some (they weren't call widgets then) that I used back in the day...
Seriously, you might find something you can use.
https://winaero.com/how-to-restore-classic-start-menu-in-windows-11-and-get-back-live-tiles/
Try what this website tells you to do, but in the opposite direction. Just be sure to read it carefully - you dont want to screw up your registry!
https://winaero.com/how-to-change-taskbar-size-in-windows-11/
There ya go. Step by step instructions with size comparisons.
Enjoy :)
Use a tool specific made for that purpose like HWINFO
There is no need to add another system monitoring layer that for sure won't support all hardware,,won't give u options like polling rate, etc introducing instability and possible performance degradation if it's running all the time or in conjunction with other monitoring software.
The V2 isn’t released yet. You can sign up for the beta here and you will get it through the store in a couple hours to a couple days. Link is from their discord server info channel.
If you google deprecated features you'll find quite a few places saying how you can't move it - it's a crazy decision!
This page lists deprecated features: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications#primaryR4
~~title~~
It's up to you! You might can do that within 10 days, or you might keep using Windows 11 (Beta/Dev Channel) if you want, however if the 10 days has passed without going back to Windows 10, you might have to clean install Windows 10 to continue see some "Great" Version of Windows!
More info at Upgrade to the New Windows 11 OS
Thanks for your passive-aggressive, ad-hominem comment.
Unless the official, Microsoft's "Feature deprecations and removals" list is modified accordingly, I will still consider this feature as being removed.
> Taskbar functionality is changed including: (...) Alignment to the bottom of the screen is the only location allowed.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications#primaryR4
Here is the requirement for DirectStorage:
DirectStorage requires an NVMe SSD to store and run games that use the "Standard NVM Express Controller" driver and a DirectX12 GPU with Shader Model 6.0 support.
Source: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications
Going by these specifications you need an NVMe SSD for DirectStorage and hence it will not work with SATA3 SSD.
Use Vance Manager to download Vanced MicroG
Use Vance Manager to download Youtube Vanced and/or Youtube Music.
Vance Manager does not only help with the setup but keeps all the apps up-to-date.
Stardock has stuff like this: https://www.stardock.com/products/
I don't use any right now, but back when metro full screen was forced, they had a product to push those apps into a normal window. And same with taming the full screen start menu... /shudder/ So wouldn't surprise me if they came out with something to address crap like this.
UltraMon was mostly to make Win7 usable with multiple monitors. It's not something I'd go grab, but as they are used to customizing Windows including the taskbar, I'd imagine/hope updates may include some stuff around this. Something to check in to later: https://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/overview/ (I was able to stop using it with Win10.)
And there are others... (ClassicShell/OpenShell hopefully will get some updates too.) I wouldn't get anything yet, but once Win11 is out, we'll probably have options to work around it.
Yeah, I love it too, it's very minimalistic. I make the taskbar smaller using a small taskbar option in settings, TaskbarX to center the taskbar with acrylic effect, and T-Clock to show the seconds as well as the date. Normally, showing a date with time using a small taskbar is not possible, but with T-Clock it's possible, even better you can modify how it looks in various formats.
https://opengapps.org/
All that is needed is finding out the version of android it uses. Most likely it's android 11 or 10 and somehow installing it with proper root access. I've seen someone get magisk working on android emulation for windows 11.
Rather than using the blank folder toolbar for centering the icons maybe give TaskbarX a try.
Makes it a little easier, has some neat effects, $1.49 on Microsoft Store or free download from the link I gave.
This is also an issue for the Terminal: it's not possible to run it in full screen on a default Windows 11 installation without a white line at the bottom: https://github.com/microsoft/terminal/issues/11474
(I thought it was sometimes a thin blue line, but it may just be the accent color effects)
Or just use or Zorin 16 OS?
Linux literally plays Windows games, if you’re not a Miner there’s literally no reason not to switch.
Problem is if websites demand TPM, then your Windows 95 PC is meaningless.

I don't think there is an option or an registry hack YET to have live previews on folders, but i could tell you a kinda small solution for the time being, so if you have a work folder or a school folder or whatever and you want to easily recognize them, go to some ICON DOWNLOADING websites and download an (for example lets say "Work") Work icon (like an picture of a office or something) and then go to file explorer and change the work folder icon to that nicer looking easily identifiable work icon. i know its not an replacement and it takes some time and hassle to do it, but like just for the time being it would be useful. (Also make sure to transfer the downloaded icons to the .ICO format before changing the default icon cause windows icons use the .ICO format, you can use GIMP (which is free) or Photoshop to do that)
If you want the best/easiest experience with Windows design concepts, you should look to use figma. Microsoft has an official WinUI 2.6 figma design toolkit available which is very extensive, and figma is a great app for general prototyping and whatnot.
> In my opinion apple has little excuse not to offer something similar especially when they always emphasize how well their devices compliment each other.
Actually it has for the last 6 years:
It's really ugly and what's worse is it's not consistent with the win11 style, I mean, the rounded corner style... https://github.com/ModernFlyouts-Community/ModernFlyouts this one is much better.
I use NordVPN and it isn’t working on windows 11. Nord is aware of the issue and have said they’ll have an update by the time windows 11 releases to the general public.
After their statement, I bought ExpressVPN and most of their protocols (the ones that are worth using anyway) don’t work either.
Only OpenVPN (TCP) has been working for me on both services, but it’s too slow. NordLynx and Express’ LightWay protocol don’t work. IKEv2 also works, but Nord’s official client doesn’t support that for windows.
Weirdly enough, neither of them are working on iOS 15’s beta either (IKEv2 works fine though).
I wish there’s an app (like this android app Rounded Corner) that makes corner of my screen round just a tad bit. 😂 it’s weird seeing windows have rounded corner but when I go to full screen, bam! back to sharp corner.
Thanks for all this good remote diagnostic help!
The reboot happens with no peripherals other than the wired keyboard and mouse, so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.
I've never had the computer restart while in BIOS.
However... I was just thinking last night that the Acer Predator GM3500 NVMe drive where Windows is installed might be flaking out on me. I just ordered a new NVMe drive last night to replace it, reinstall Win 11, and do more testing.
Thanks again!
Ty for the detailed explanation. Just want to confirm would this https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Builder-Wind%D0%BEws-Intended-Upgradable/dp/B00ZSI7Y3U/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=1CJRO5F6413HF&keywords=windows+10&qid=1670819259&sprefix=windows+10%2Caps%2C80&sr=8-2 work for me when I’m going to install windows on my gaming pc
Yes. Laptops hardrives are easy to replace, you may want to watch a youtube video first, to see what your getting into.
Like someone else suggested, It's highly recommended to buy an ssd like this, as it can cut startup time from almost 2min to less then 30 seconds.
So, I see your edit It's very possible your ISP is blocking VPN connections. What country is this? Also, IDK if you've tested ProtonVPN - the have a free tier, you can see if that works. Be sure to run the installer as admin, and turn off controlled folder access in Defender if it is on first.
It most likely won't show either of the two monitors and instead will show "Generic Display Device" or something to that effect. This is going to be dependent on the splitter itself.
You will probably have good results with Amazon.com: Monoprice Blackbird 4K 1x2 HDMI Amplifier Splitter. I've never used this particular product, but my experiences with the brand have been pretty much exactly what you want here.
It’s a desktop I built myself. I used this unit in it: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08DKDHMGR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Remote Fingerprint Unlock: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ro.andreimircius.remotefingerauth&hl=en_US&gl=US
It has a widget you can use to quickly unlock your PC with a quick tap and fingerprint scan on your phone.
Didn't work on W11 for me but I found an open source alternative and it worked wonders. Thanks. I wish this functionality was built into Phone Link or the share menu.
I've used this one with good results in the past but be aware that it only sends from Android to Windows, not the reverse.
Yeah that's pretty typical, these valuable name brands like this seem to change hands behind the scenes fairly often. Even McAfee has been all over the place.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, but being honest, I'd drop the AVG stuff. Use windows defender, it's equally as competent if not more so than AVG, and for VPN I can highly recommend Mullvad, it's one of the last bastions of actual privacy. Most of the other big names have sold out to sketchy companies or aren't actually doing much for privacy.
Any VPN owned by Kape technologies should be a HARD pass. Which unfortunately is many of them. Private Internet Access and Express VPN were my go tos in the past, but both got bought by Kape.
Thanks! Found it on my PC as well and checked it with VirusTotal, it has 0 KB, but I'll still delete it. kinda sus
KDE is a Linux desktop project, and KDE Connect is part of their desktop environnment
yes, it is Linux software ported to windows, it indeed came to windows much later
linux is the first entry on the download options on their website
yup, this totally looks like something made for windows
Use an app called darkinator to automatically have the wallpaper switch with dark/light mode. I did the same thing with those wallpapers.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tfuerholzer.darkmodewallpaper
'Nearby Sharing' (nothing to do with Google Nearby Share) is part of Windows since Windows 10. You can use this app to transfer from Android to Windows : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kilobyteapps.companion.nearshare
Unfortunately I don't know of a way to use Nearby Sharing to transfer from Windows to Android as Microsoft only supports it on Windows.
> So it forced me to reset windows and delete everything off one drive.
I hope you were able to retrieve your documents beforehand and move them somewhere else.
