Obviously there are plenty of people who still do, otherwise you wouldn't have blogs like this:
I read an article recently which suggested copy/move times of the inbuilt Windows 7 (ah shit or was it 8?) was faster than all these programs.
Edit: Here we go: Do copy acceleration utilities actually lower file transfer speeds? Our tests say yes
You can download a freeware program called Calibre to do the conversion for you - it includes lots of options and several different formats to convert to.
You also might want to use some cropping tools:
Hey. Ok so most of those results link back to the same program (which is no longer supported by its creator. It lets me play the screensaver in a smaller preview box, but if I try to change the res or put it fullscreen it merely stretches it instead of renderring it at the proper resolution. This is with me using 3rd party screensavers, with windows screensavers it renders at the proper resolution, albeit with borders.
It lets me configure certain Windows screensavers the only one to mention anything about displays was the Windows text one which allowed me to select 'display nothing' for specific screens but this literally displays 'nothing' (black screen)
I also tried to search 'screensaver viewer' but out of the few links that I found the programs were really old and no longer have working mirrors.
I'm guessing there isnt any native windows setting for this then?
Thanks.

>Conclusion: In conclusion, both extensions are efficient adblockers, although not as good as the Firefox one. Adblock Plus is based on the same code as the Firefox version and therefore is little bit more sophisticated as it doesn’t negatively impact the performance of the browser and works more reliably on youtube.com.
I guess Adblock Plus came out first and was only available for Firefox?
I hate this kinda crap. I've exposed an entire sector of Sri Lankans that use cheat accounts, and nobody bats an eye. It's pathetic and I've since jumped out to a friendlier sector which I'm sure has it's own cheating issues going on.
It's clear that any high-end play in this game is pointless after you run into the blatant cheating, and it's best to find a dead sector and play on your own. No point to try to get on the leaderboards since you'll just make yourself a target for cheaters. They'll hit you with 40 Bullseyes then later on, their main account will come collect the infamy from the cheat account. Cheat gets banned, main account keeps the infamy and just starts a new cheat account.
It's been going on way too long to expect it to change. This article was written over a year ago and still nothing has changed. I've given up on Kixeye, they can't stop the cheaters. The only enjoyment I find now is playing WC as if it were a single-player game. Pathetic indeed.
Adblock Plus can block some ads in embedded videos. If you are interested in learning more: short article about the two
Just try every free recovery program you can get your hands on, maybe one of them will work. Freewaregenius did a comparison lately.
Converting the .cbr files to .pdf files should work. This page explains a relatively easy way to do that. I would ignore most of the software recommendations on that page, though, as it's 5 years old but the principle is sound. These days you probably already have the software necessary to print to .pdf files already installed and don't need any third party software. If you need more help just google "convert cbr to pdf".
Looking at the specs for the nook Color, it seems to also natively support the common image formats as well, and since .cbr files are really just .rar archives of a bunch of image files, you may not even need to make a .pdf after all and just extract the images and put them directly onto your nook (although I don't know if you can associate them as a single book in that instance).
Hey, these links may help u
Or u may put it on 1. Replit 3. GitHub and tell others the link so that they can use the same

Hope these help
I've tried bubbl.us before. Here is an article about wikiebrains http://www.freewaregenius.com/wikibrains-lets-you-peek-into-the-thoughts-of-others/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Freewaregeniuscom+%28freewaregenius.com%29
It shows a screenshot the demonstrates what it looks like. All those loose bubbles float around in real time and can be linked together, when linked if one is dragged around the rest will react in a rag doll kind of motion. Just the way the bubbles automatically react to more bubbles/additional bubbles added to a web is what I'm looking for.
I haven't see a single online program that offers what Wikibrains did... Thanks though!
Maybe this tutorial will help.
The syntax is real easy. Basically like:
Redirect 301 /oldfile.htm /newfile.htm
As for a powerful editor I would recommend the freeware Replace Genius.
There is no rocket sience in this, just some clever copy, paste, seek and replace :)
List Verse. Although at first, it might give you a buzzfeed vibe, it's actually more informative and less pop-culture-y.
Also, Freeware Genius for free software reviews.
How often do you have all your windows minimized? I never understood the need for this other than screenshot purposes.
Why not get a systray tool to provide you with some relevant info?
For example, I use SysTrayMeter. It still works on all new Microsoft server/desktop OS. It's a 16KB self executable systray icon that shows CPU % usage over mem usage.
It can only be found here: http://www.freewaregenius.com/systraymeter
As long as you don't undock, this is very usable. Great for updating orders, industry jobs, or skill queues while at work.
I'm using Avast on Win 7 and pretty happy with it. The announcement that it has been updated is a little annoying, but not too bad.
edit: Take a look at This.
hm. Xmarks is pretty redundant if you have a google account but its not trans-browser. I don't really know about evernote to be honest...
This website lists some add ons which may be of interest.
Sorry I can't be of more help but I've never used the firefox add on that you want to replicate.
Openote was recommended from this thread on a quickfixnotes forum.
(Version 6 Update 27). But i manually deleted old versions of Java and started afresh, if that helps?
Tester: http://javatester.org/version.html
There' some guides on doing this: http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml
and i've not tried this software but it apparently updates and cleans your version, but its up to you.

Good luck.
feature request [suitable for lazy guys like me]:
1) Previous [anonymous/unsaved] playlist (before vlc was last closed). Just like what WMP in Win7 has.
For now, I can only see "recent media".
(just like with google chrome that you can press ctrl+shift+t after opening it and previous tabs all pops up)
2) Most played media/playlists.
I would really like to fiddle with Qt but I'm still a programmer wannabe.. any link to Qt developer blogs relevant to Qt for VLC?
tiny details: I know there is a forum for feature request but.. i don't like registering and I think BB forums are cumbersome. Also, I was totally grinning/thankful that VLC now has the media playlist up by default right after startup, thanks. Also, I think we can learn from KMPlayer as reviewed here http://www.freewaregenius.com/2008/06/30/the-kmplayer-one-media-player-to-rule-them-all/. KMPlayer has neat shortcuts and usability design (at least for me).
Just my small input :)
