The servers are open once again for testing, as they were a few months ago:
http://www.reddit.com/r/mylittlepony/comments/1hu54u/so_i_we_did_some_alpha_testing_on_legends_of/
New stuff I've noticed:
Cloudsdale has been added, pretty neat.
Places have been renamed for copyright reasons, I assume. Cloudsdale is now cloudsville. Canterlot is now Cantermore. Ponyville is now Ponydale.
Everything seems slower... really CPU intensive when looking at multiple objects
More fluent ponies. More "positions" (sit, lay, dance, facehoof).
New HUD.
You can now "fight" some enemies, try it in the cave
There is background music now... only the Cloudsdale one seems fitting, the others sound a bit dull and childish, but that's just me.
Better textures
A simple monetary system
Better chat

[](/hahaha) Nice! It immediately made me think of this.
For anyone interested in the game itself: Legends of Equestria
For your friend: Legends of Equestria
Fan-made Unity-based MMORPonyG, currently in development but every few months or so they have a "stress test" weekend and open the game to all comers for a few days. Last weekend was way back in August, so keep an eye out, there may be one soon(ish).
It's called Legends of Equestria. It's been in development for a couple years now and it's starting to look decent. They're gonna set up another test run on August 8-10, so if you wanna give it a try then there's your chance.
ponyVRville is already a thing if you want Ponyville in VR, though it's rather limited.
Legends of Equestria is probably better feature-wise, but it's not VR.
Interdimensional portals and the likes seems less viable.
http://www.legendsofequestria.com/ There is an open server for LoE (A MLP MMO) this weekend. Check it out. As for other MMOs with MLP groups, I have yet to run across any as I haven't found a game worth it for me at this time.
[](/rscootacheer) Hi there! Have you heard of Legends of Equestria? It's a pony MMO that is currently in very gradual development. The devs are all volunteers. You can make an avatar, there's quests, amazing maps... They do open server weekends every once in a while. You can tell they really put their hearts into it.
Check 'em out ---> Right here
Yeah I heard something about that too, recently actually. I don't really remember what it's called, I think /u/Shoo22 is right though.
Let's go practice medicine! jk
Ok so let's see here:
Welcome Cathelp! Have fun, and enjoy your new fandom :)
If you're still interested, it's the Legends of Equestria. They just had an open server weekend because the game is still very much in development.
Their website can be found at this website.
The open server weekend ended just about 45 minutes before I replied to you, sadly. They normally do open servers for the conventions that invite the team along.
Cartoon Network enthusiasts' FusionFall Legacy and the MLP community's Legends of Equestria are both fan-made games - maybe there are enough Zootopian programmers around to start our own open-world project?
So I took some screenshots. The game is looking great! There is a weird bug with night/day lighting as you can see. I will take more tomorrow and fix some of the ones I have already taken.
Pssst! The right emote code is [](/blushyocty) guy!
[](/experimenting)Well, I guess I'm alright. The Legends of Equestria server should be up for this weekend, but the website seems to be down at the moment. I really wanna see if we can have something organized or something for it.
There are mirrors on the downloads page.
Just make sure you hit the Download File button if you already have a program that can open archives. :)
Not surprising, considering the MMO has only had I think 3 open beta weekends. It's a pony MMO with names changed for copyright purposes. The weekend just closed down a few minutes ago. More info here: http://www.legendsofequestria.com/
[](/dashcute) Yeah, it is. Pretty creative. [](/sp) [](/dashiebucket) Yep, I noticed that too. But that's kinda part of the balance of the game I think. Because people are still really good with them. And those bites do do massive damage if they do end up connecting. [](/sp) [](/dashiewink) Who said I was playing fair?
Yep. Also, speaking of coordination in that game, those giant transport planes are awesome. They're so huge!
Heh, yeah. I like those giant tank brigades. They're pretty fun to be in even if you don't end up doing much but driving around with them. Same with huge fleets of air vehicles. And when you have both it's total blitzkrieg stuff.
Also, I can't fly those stupid gunships for crap. But it's fun to try. [](/sp) [](/dashwave) There are plenty! I think. Um. I've heard of some others. Like there's an MMO fangame being made called Legends of Equestria. I've seen footage of the beta, it actually looks good. It doesn't seem like it'll have anything interesting to do in it, but the player models look nice and the world looks decent too. [](/sp) [](/dashsquee) So the ending song of Super Lesbian Horse RPG was an Anamanaguchi song that was pretty good. Made we want to listen to more of their stuff. They're pretty awesome. I just bought their newest album. It's got elements of 90s trance, an almost chiptune-y sound, and other things too. It's neat. This is my favorite song off of it, I'd say.
Yes there is!

There's Fighting is Magic, but I don't know the specifics of that.
There's also Legends of Equestria and some other unfinished 3D game that I can't think of the name of at the moment...
The game is called Legends of Equestria and is only easily playable when they announce open server weekends. When it is open they're isn't really much to do. You can however port forward it, but I have yet to do so.
I was away from the fandom for a while 'til I discovered Reddit and /r/mylittlepony. Online communities are a good step to staying with it.
Have you played Legends of Equestria?
