We have certainly considered this, at least in terms of expanding the delegate set from 101 to x. The only problem then is that we introduce a new limit, that will eventually need to be lifted further. What we would like to introduce are random slots for standby delegates within each round, slightly increasing the length of each round, offering an incentive for standby delegates to secure blocks. The research for this is being handled by the roadmap objective: "Incentivise standby delegate" on lisk.io/roadmap, the results of which will be proposed as part of the LIPs process, possibly with multiple proposals, and potentially with radical changes. As with all DPoS related issues, we are taking this issue very seriously. It is in our very best interests to improve the current system. We definitely intend to evolve it.
To be honest, it took a while before they delivered. But surfing around their website : https://lisk.io/ shows how dedicated they are.
You can click days before you've seen it all. Academy, products, documentation. It's all there in great detail.
Can't wait to see when they full SDK is released and the first projects emerge.
Thanks for posting u/RafaHussein. Good to see that feedback and expectations. It's nice to have it all collected in one spot and gives the team here a feeling for what realistic outlooks are on the projects delivery time - have shared this with the team. Of course, part of the reason we did not include dates was to share the progress as it's happening and not be caught projecting aspects of development that are very complex to implement. I'm not able to provide direct feedback on the expectations but it's going to become much clearer over the next few months about when (roughly) the phases will be completed. You'll start to see the milestones being completed and can get a gauge from there.
Currently, we haven't confirmed this as an event that we will be attending. I will include this in the potential event list and will, together with the events team, decide, based on our events metrics system, if it's worth it to attend.
https://lisk.io/events will include this conference if the decision is yes 🙂
Hello everybody.
Rather than a list of highlights today, the one major thing I would like to highlight from yesterday on the Lisk reddit sub is .....
The desktop version of Lisk hub offers additional levels of security so users are being asked to download and use the desktop version.
Please check out the Lisk HQ blog on it here and the reddit announcement on it here
Have a good day and stay safe.
Lisk Elements is the library that a developer would use to build apps/dapps that interact with the Lisk blockchain. It allows you to:
So this library does a lot! It's the primary SDK that developers will use to access the Lisk blockchain functionality.
Hey u/liskGogogo,
I'll try to clarify this one for you. The Alpha SDK will allow developers and projects to develop proofs-of-concept for their applications. It will be possible thanks to the Architecture and Design phase completion, which will finalize the structure for new apps - the development via SDK, however, will have a limited support at this point. We have this point outlined on our Roadmap webpage in a more detailed manner. Be sure to take a look at it.
Best,Jędrzej.

EDIT: I would add that before creating your wallet, you must be sure that your computer is clean like a 'surgery room' so you can avoid silent attacks. Also, you can save your account, and when you need to check your balance, it will display it without having to retype your passphrase, thus making it less grabbable by some viruses.
Lisk uses Delegate Proof of Stake (DPoS). In essence, only 101 nodes/server may forge blocks. These nodes/servers are voted upon the community, and the LSK in their wallets represent their voting weight. Inflation (i.e. Forging Rewards) will be:
Here's more detailed information for you as this was a very short summary:
I feel like progress has been solid. I'm not gonna hype it up, as I'm just a casual follower who hopes to see more of JavaScript on the Blockchain. But their latest update in December was pretty solid, just look at the change log and refactors they did: https://lisk.io/blog/development/launch-betanet-v5
Agreed, and I have provided specific feedback on addressing the lack of effective marketing (as a result, it was suggested by others here I should work for HQ).
The SEO for Lisk is pretty bad, for starters. Bloggers continually use the old photo because the lisk.io isn't high enough on search results for Lisk. Begs the question: "how are people then supposed to find Lisk Academy?"
Hey u/blade2785, we have around 10 developers working on Lisk Core, you can check the activity/contributions here: https://github.com/LiskHQ/lisk/graphs/contributors. There are many reasons why developers are wanting to come and work at Lightcurve here in Berlin — the Lisk project, an opportunity to change the world, working in the blockchain industry, living in Berlin, working with people who are incredible at what they do and of course, a very competitive salary (equity in Lisk and performance bonuses). We're always on the lookout to add more talent to the team so if you or anyone you know are interested, please apply here: https://lisk.io/careers
From AMA with max (https://lisk.io/blog/events/ama-recap-ask-max-anything)
Max: In February our plans will be settled and documented, ready to be executed. For that, we have contracted up again with Wachsman PR to get Lisk onto the news portals, participate in more interviews and podcasts again and be at the forefront of this crypto revolution. It was a conscious decision to stay in the shadows last year. One might see that as a bad or good decision. This year it is our conscious decision to step out into the limelight again, so that's what we are going to do starting from March.
/u/Rjected, this resource/page that Firedust linked is very good for finding more detail on DPoS. I will include this as a task to tackle on so that we may add more of the information found on this website to our Documentation page!

No, not entirely. The LISK platform was created with 100M LSK coins on the network, but it is not the fixed amount. Forging at this time has not begun, therefor the amount of LSK coins stays the same until then, but when it does the amount of LSK coins will grow with the new LISK coins that will-then be forged.
The inflation expected for the next 5 years is:
If you would like to learn more about what forging is. You can visit <em>this page</em>.
Here you go: https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-dapps-docs/README
But you have to understand that the platform isn't finished yet and is still in beta so changes will be made in the coming weeks. I think that the platform should be finished first and then tutorials and such things should be done.
for me located in Germany, I see it Lisk mentioned first on the 4th page. google chrome, with ad blocker
Article:
Financials and spend forecast are located on this page: https://lisk.io/lisk-foundation
Assuming the information is up to date (which it says it is), the current numbers show 45MM in assets and 55MM scheduled spend rate for 2019-2020.
Hi there,
What you are referring to are the collision attacks that some users have been the victim of. It is a very unfortunate situation where these users have lost there funds. However it is only possible for uninitialized wallets. Sending out a single tx of any kind prevents this from happening.
To read more about account initialization and collision attacks, go here: https://lisk.io/blog/announcement/lisk-account-initialization
Also note, the address system will be overhauled with Lisk Core 3.0, which means address initialization will no longer be a requirement. I believe we will have a better idea as to when that is coming at Lisk.js - May 21 & 22
https://lisk.io/documentation/lisk-hub#with-hardware-wallet
In Lindsay’s April recap she also mentions that they will next be working on the Trezor interface, as well as BTC storage.

🙌🏼
I want to believe what you're saying, but I only see you making assumptions while my concerns are based on information that is actually being given by the Lisk team itself (https://lisk.io/lisk-foundation).
As always, great job! Especially with outlining activities of Lisk Central America - these guys make a really good job promoting Lisk in their region, as well as Austin Meetup Liskers are rocking in the US! :)
Also big thanks for covering the Erasmus Tech Community event on 26th of November! I would only add an information about our official Lisk Amsterdam Meetup the next day. Whoever joins the Erasmus Tech in Rotterdam, be sure to meet us also in Amsterdam!
Kudos, u/E_1-3-3-7!
You still haven't answer my question. Unless your answer was the website is nicer. Than you have said why you wouldn't touch Lisk.
However, as I'm here for about 14 month or so, I remember how the community has complained about HQs marketing measurements. They did relaunche the website and now it's too much. I guess that's how it is, one need a reason for an unsatisfying situation.
Anyway, the approach to care about product development while search engines crawler are able to index decent blockchain content in order to rank high on keywords like blockchain etc. is smart. Furthermore, if you'd have read lisks mission statement , you'd know that LiskHq has defined java script developer as their target group. HQ has never advertised to retail investors or thematised price or such like.
However, as you've said no one knows and time will tell.
This is big for Lisk at the most opportune time! We're seeing a slight turn in the market with the big boys joining in.
Lisk finally delivered Core 1.0 after delays and is looking to change the DPOS system and implement dynamic fees next. Core 1.0 should speed up development of the rest of the project including Lisk Elements and Lisk Commander - both parts of the SDK. The team has manpower that can now focus on securing and developing the rest of the network so developers can start building dAPPs very shortly.
The platform is poised to bring a ton of innovation to the space lettings potential ICO's create their system in a few days via a 'point click' solution. Best part about it is that it's all in JavaScript giving access to millions of developers. The second half of 2018 will be very interesting to watch and keep Lisk on your radar.
If you don't know much about the project I'd suggest checking out this video. Moocharoo does an in-depth review from an unbiased, developer point of view.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjtUyQlnY64
Also, if you haven't already, check out Lisk Hub - one of the cleanest wallets out there for usability and it simply just looks clean.
We recommend downloading our official Lisk Nano wallet: https://lisk.io/download
Also, read the FAQ for further information regarding LSK tokens and security measures: https://docs.lisk.io/docs/faq-ico-lsk-token#section-how-can-i-store-lsk-tokens-
well, first download your wallet in https://lisk.io/download , then you have to move your mouse to generate a random seed, you must to keep it safe. Then you gonna see VOTES. you can vote 101 delegates. each 30 delegate cost 1 lsk if i remember. 1 lisk is like 1 vote, so each delegate you choose use your stake to "represent you" and in change he gives you rewards. More lisk, more rewards you get, around a 3-4% each year i guess.
Lisk is a decent project, but the hacks hodlers suffered from are really bad. Therefore there is a bit of bad blood towards Lisk because something as stupid as that should never be possible. Visit their subreddit and a lot of topics are from victims who lost everything and read more about it here
That aside, the product they have is quite good and I see it as a potential 100-1000 coin. In a bit more than a week they have an event, if you want to learn more about Lisk, this is your chance.
By disappeared, do you mean your BTC balance is also blurred out? If that's the case, it's a bug that will be fixed in the next version of Lisk Mobile, you can always double check with the desktop version ( https://lisk.io/wallet ). If you can't see any of your BTC transactions, maybe there's something wrong with the BTC node and /u/juan_lisk might help you with it.
I advise all Lisk account holders to initialize (send at least one outgoing transaction) all of their wallets to properly secure their funds. Per the Lisk FAQ (https://lisk.io/faq):

>We advise you to initialize your account as soon as possible. When someone sends you LSK, they will use the address in order to do so. Since the address is an abbreviation of the public key, it is less resistant to a collision than the public key is. As soon as you make an outgoing transaction, your public key can be recorded on the blockchain and will be collision-free. In other words, making at least one outgoing transaction from your wallet (even to yourself) will improve the security of your LSK address even more. You can read more about address collision here.
Lisk SDK 5.0 is a big milestone as it I'll bring many improvements in the economy and consensus field but also for developers. You can read more on this blog post : https://lisk.io/blog/development/new-development-schedule-lisk-core. Lisk SDK 5.0 also means Lisk Core 3.0 to mainnet, as SDK 4 is skipped to gain development velocity (tests phases & quality insurance takes a lot of times). Finally the next milestone will be sidechains! Finally! Very likely before the end of the year. Don't hesitate to come to our discord ;) https://discord.gg/dgRedZ
Edit : I forgot your last question : the SDK is already usable and it's very good! You should give it a try!
u/thomelsch Are you sure that finances had nothing to do with the lay-offs? Aside from crypto assets, how much fiat does Light Curve hold? Is the number found here > https://lisk.io/lisk-foundation your entire value? or is there another cash reserve in a bank? If so how much?
Thanks for your reply! As Cheezorino said, the assets listed on https://lisk.io/lisk-foundation are listed as "current as of today". If the team is giving updated values for these assets, then why isn't the spending forecast updated accordingly?
A well thought-out and reasoned reply. Thanks for sharing. I agree, especially the idea of Lisk tokens on a custom ETH instance. Other projects have done something similar and seen a level of success by doing so.
Based on the financials reported on the Foundation page (https://lisk.io/lisk-foundation), they have 48MM in assets and a plan to spend 55MM in 2019-20. Assuming the entire crypto market doesn't crater further, you'd have to expect they should have enough to at least make it through 2019.
Either late 2019 or early 2020 there will need to be some source of revenue, or an injection of funds from an outside investor, to keep the project running. Slowing their burn rate isn't going to help if they still don't have a delivered SDK.

Really great job u/Lemiiii. I believe this will be a very useful tutorial for many Liskers!
For everyone that wants to set up a Lisk node, I have also this link: https://lisk.io/documentation/lisk-core/setup
We are heavily focused on what we want to achieve. Whilst our team works with urgency, it all comes down to delivering the highest quality product(s) to empower developers to create decentralized applications!
At Lisk, we are very happy with how the team has been progressing toward our objectives The current Lisk Core 1.0 migration sets the foundation for each of our products and will provide the backbone to the SDK. You can read more about this here.
In combination with with continued progress on the network side of the business, we have the Lisk Academy, which is a great way to educate people about blockchain technology (from both a business and technical point of view). As our products mature further, the Lisk Academy will become more technical.
The Lisk Hub interface was created to push the boundaries of the of user experience in the space. We’ve got big plans for this product - next up will be the development of the mobile application!
There will always be competitors in any industry and blockchain is no different - there are new projects appearing every week. For us, it helps to have a clear vision about the direction we’re heading. This has been the same since we started and from that day, we’ve handpicked the best people to come and build this from our office in Berlin! After being here for over a month now, I see how this comes together and I’m confident we’re going to make it happen!
Shoutout to Julian and Valaria ... please update the LiskMedia kit so the community can get creative!

Desktop Lisk Hub or Lisk Nano only now, ChinookKing.
The team have been professional with this, so now if you try to download the browser version of Lisk hub you get the following message.......
"Keeping you secure In response to a recent incident with another online wallet, we have decided to take extra precaution. From this point on, we will no longer host the browser version of Lisk Hub. In the meantime, please download and use the desktop version of Lisk Hub. We’d like to emphasize that Lisk has never been compromised. This is simply a safety measure that we are taking very seriously to ensure that you can interact with our network in the most secure way."
Here is the official advice from the Lisk blog.
"Given our daily improvement of Lisk Hub, we have come to the conclusion that the web version cannot guarantee the additional levels of security that the desktop version of Lisk Hub offers. The desktop version is signed with the Lisk Stiftung certificate, therefore downloading Lisk Hub gives you a local copy that is:
In light of all of this, we have decided to cease hosting the online version of Lisk Hub and the online version of Lisk Nano (https://m.lisk.io). Instead, we ask our users to download and use the desktop version."
As a frontend dev you might like Lisk which lets you build blockchain applications in JavaScript. You essentially build a side chain and build your app on top of it. I really like it.

All delegates are performing this duty individually as part of running their node. Many of us are running many other types of individual analysis as well.

In the future, IMO yes.
LISK is a blockchain platform written entirely in JavaScript and will shortly have an sdk.
Please get informed. It will be good for you! You can go to Lisk FAQ here on reddit or go to https://lisk.support/knowledge-base/ or https://lisk.io/learn_more
Just download the wallet here: https://lisk.io/download
Everything is pretty self explanatory and straightforward. Hints are included as well on your first setup. I'm sure you will get it. Give it a try.
The project is cool. I have some critiques but I don't think they are relevant in this setting. Mainly, I think the heart of Lisk is the SDK and I find it quite disappointing that 15 months since its development began we still know nothing about it. People talk about it, but there has been no official announcement or code released. (Note: the Lisk Foundation states they began development on May 24th, 2016.)
As for the price, it all depends on what the Lisk Foundation decides to do with the Lisk blockchain and its token (LSK). If their implementation of sidechains forces people to buy LSK in order to buy the tokens of other sidechains (like Ethereum does), then I think that, assuming rebranding goes well and the SDK gets good adoption, price should be fine (i.e. up.) If, on the other side, sidechains will be 100% independent from Lisk, then to me the Lisk token is pretty much useless. See it this way: if there is no real reason for people to buy the Lisk token (other than pure speculation), then there's no real reason for the Lisk token to have any value. This is true for a lot of other cryptocurrencies too. The CEO of the Lisk Foundation posted an accurate list of reasons why one should buy LSK, confirming that as of now the token is overvalued: you can only send it around or use it to "upgrade" your account (2nd passphrase, multisig, delegate registration.) Yet, the same list contains many "mights" and "likely" and if those become real, then the Lisk token will most likely have a bright future.
Note: if anyone feels uncomfortable reading this and wants to scream "FUDDD" or similar things, please make sure to also point out my mistakes so that I can correct them as soon as possible.
Fixed some typos.
It's currently being tested publicly and the full release will be quite soon. Keep an eye on the Lisk Blog or subscribe to our Lisk Newsletter to receive the latest updates.
You made a negative and inaccurate comment when you said there was no hype and no team
Consistent top volume behind ETC/ETH/LTC means there is interest and hype
https://lisk.io/team - More than 6 people on the team, with more to be hired once the team gains access to 14k BTC
All accounts that are uninitialized are at risk of a collision attack. All users should initialize their addresses ASAP. You can read more here: https://lisk.io/blog/announcement/lisk-account-initialization
You will have to login to your lisk account or check via the explorer to see if your funds have been compromised.
Official lisk wallet: https://lisk.io/wallet
Let me just take a moment here to reiterate that as long as an address is initialized by having at least one outgoing transaction, your funds are safe.
To anyone reading this, PLEASE check to make sure you have initialized your accounts by having at least one outgoing tx of any kind. You can read more about Account Initialization here:
https://lisk.io/blog/announcement/lisk-account-initialization
It's also mentioned here. https://lisk.io/blog/announcement/lisk-account-initialization
Will see what we can add to the original Reddit post.
They've made a ton of progress since then, see here for their regular updates:

Sidechains can now be built using the Lisk SDK, and soon interoperability will enable full connection to the Lisk mainchain.
Just vote the former ELITE GROUP out, because they don't share anymore and only cash in for themselves.
Like you can see in the posted link from u/TonyT908 you'll find this link behind it. Its currently the only source i know to gather more informations.

I also find it really bad from LSK doesn't address this topic officially or provide more informations. Even the official documentation is dead https://lisk.io/documentation/lisk-sdk/explanations/consensus.html
after logging in to your current Exodus-wallet, try to export your org. Lisk-kex/seed phrase from there https://medium.com/@adbank/how-to-view-your-private-keys-in-exodus-wallet-c4cf172fb5bb and afterwards log in with this exported seed phrase straightly via the org. Lisk-wallet https://lisk.io/wallet? 🤔
The 1 LSK TX on October 10th is key. If it was not you, then you are the victim of a collision attack and the hacker has simply kept the funds in the wallet.
https://lisk.io/blog/announcement/lisk-account-initialization
Well, making an image in Photoshop and coding a wallet are two entirely different things.. But yes I see your point. In fact, there are measures taking place already, which you can read about here: https://lisk.io/account-initialization
“In the short term, we strongly advise everyone to execute one transaction to ensure the Lisk account initialization process is completed. As we would like to avoid further funds being lost through address collision attacks, we decided to make some changes in the Lisk wallet for Desktop which include an enforced step to initialize the account, next to the already existing warning upon sign-in.
This Lisk account initialization enforcement comes with Lisk 1.28.0 for Desktop which will be released latest next week.”
As far as a list is concerned, check this recent post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lisk/comments/kqnjqb/tool_to_optimize_delegate_voting/
When its comes to Lisk’s Dpos, a change is in place already on betanet. Will need to migrate to testnet before eventuall arriving on mainnet. You can read about them here: https://lisk.io/blog/research/3-new-dpos-lips-changing-voting-system-lisk
I agree with all of you that a $40 price tag would be extremely nice, I mean I would be the person who would benefit the most from it, as one of the largest LSK holders.
However, with $50,000,000 in the bank we are focusing on long-term growth now. Back in the day there was a lot of hype and no substance. This is increasingly looking very much different. We are building day-in and day-out. With the Lisk Core 3.0.0 Mainnet deployment we will see a substantial shift in our protocol, it's essentially an entirely new protocol as all parts of it were drastically improved. In a former podcast interview I said that this is likely the biggest release / most drastic hard fork a running blockchain in production has ever seen.
This Friday we will get a first glimpse into our interoperability direction with the real deal being revealed next year. That's the time we can build up some momentum again, as we have the substance to back it up with. I believe it's very, very possible to build up hype two times. A third time would be very difficult. So let's do the next one right with real utility.
See you all on Friday! https://lisk.io/livestream
Just in May all research up to blockchain interoperability was concluded, what was a necessary step before committing to blockchain interoperability research.
https://lisk.io/blog/research/all-research-blockchain-interoperability-completed

The research roadmap for blockchain interoperability consists of four phases:
1.) State-of-the-art overview
2.) High-level direction
3.) Specification
4.) LIP drafting

We are now in the middle of the third phase. An update will be provided during the LCB opening event which will be live streamed on YouTube.
Holding Lisk has shown me the damage such cartels can cause. Even Lisk has learned their lessons and are developing a new DPOS system that will be much more difficult to form a cartel with.
nex milestone will be interoperability. research has been finalized (https://lisk.io/roadmap). there are already a lot of good ideas for apps as well (https://lisk.io/apps). cartels are about to vanish due to the new consensus - elite pool already split up (https://www.liskmagazine.com/blog/2020/07/06/focus-dissolution-of-lisk-elite-group/)
no, as u/MaxKK wrote, the new dpos still needs implementation and testing. nevertheless, you can change your votes in favor of delegates that play with the sdk (https://lisk.io/apps) and have good ideas. furthermore cartels seem to vanish since the new dpos desincentivises that (https://www.liskmagazine.com/). check out existing/ upcoming lisk centers if you are interested in future projects build on lisk blockchain.
Ahhhh what? SuperRare, KnownOrigin, Mintbase, OpenSea, Compound, Maker, Gnosis, Helena, Moloch, DAOstack, ens, 3box, WalletConnect, GitCoin, Gitcoin Grants, Cent, CryptoVoxels, Decentraland, MyCryptoHeros... Is there still not a single project using Lisk that’s running? Every project listed on the Lisk has a dead link like the bike app or just goes to abandoned GitHub repos. How much did they raise and how long ago? Is Madana really doing another ICO on Ethereum lol.
Here's the current roadmap with the objective list and the status of those objectives: https://lisk.io/roadmap
Here's the blog post on the alpha SDK and what you can do: https://blog.lisk.io/alpha-sdk-phase-officially-begins-with-the-launch-of-lisk-sdk-2-1-0-28b2648bee11
Hi,
We are excited to announce lisk.js 2019 will take place on November 19th. This all-day event will include dev-focused workshops, talks, and networking. We will announce more speakers and activities in the coming weeks.
You can find details and the agenda here: https://lisk.io/liskjs2019
The SDK is not here however. You made assumptions.
Lisk HQ are at the Alpha SDK launch phase.
Alpha SDK will allow developers to start development of proof-of-concept applications that are aligned with the future SDK.
Beta comes after that, then RC (release candidate), which will allow developers be able to fully bootstrap and develop new applications using SDK (Core, Elements, Commander), register & transfer custom tokens, and conduct ICOs for applications on the Lisk mainchain. Proposed sidechain interoperability solution will not yet be supported at this stage. The ability for connecting applications as sidechains to the mainchain will be added in the final and next phase.
Then finally Production SDK (a fully functioning SDK with scalable interoperability between sidechains and the mainchain, as well as trust-less token transfers).
Further details below.........
>Scrutiny or not you don't know me so like I'm not arguing your authoritativeness in whatever you are specialized please do the same. Please avoid dealing with people with sufficiency. You are acting more or less like a fanboy repeating over and over the same stuff or Max statements like it is the only true.
Please don't confuse supporter with fanboy. With Max being the co-founder of the Lisk project I take what he says as the truth. I can only link to what has been said..... this is not arguing........ it debate with backup and linkage.
But we would appreciated some statement like: "we do not know how to do it and when it will be ready but those are the updates and we are moving forward" not "soon".
The Projects roadmap is here............ https://lisk.io/roadmap If there are any changes then I presume they will be announced.
If you're in it for financial gain, I'd recommend setting aside an evening and reading the blog on Lisk.io, as well as possibly looking into GitHub, before deciding for yourself whether the development has the potential to increase demand for the Lisk token at a faster rate than that of the top 10 to 15 cryptos you're leaning more towards.
If in your eyes that potential exists, and you're happy for the money to vanish entirely while you maintain a more hands-off approach (and, like John says, you have ~500+ Lisk), I'd stake, properly secure your passphrases, and push the tokens and the project to the back of your mind until either A) another year passes or B) the point at which Lisk is thrust into the forefront of your mind by the project being mentioned in a different sphere of your life entirely which would imply it's probably doing rather well.
You can view the SDK stages on the roadmap landing page here https://lisk.io/roadmap. Currently, we're in the Architecture and Design phase and following this, we'll have the Alpha version of the SDK.
After releasing Lisk Elements version 2.1 the whole Quality and Performance phase of the dev roadmap is completed! #BUIDL #2019
We will make sure to update the roadmap page as frequent as we can: https://lisk.io/roadmap
Hey u/liskGogogo, good question. We have been speaking about Dynamic Fees for a long time as this was the first research that Iker conducted when he started at Lightcurve. When we mentioned that the research had been finalized (all but coded), this was the case. However, since the Science Team was bolstered with more cryptographers, the peer-review process intensified and there were a few aspects that Iker decided to add in order to improve his initial proposal (this should be finished and peer-reviewed for the final time over the next few weeks - you'll then have full access to it). Important to note that even if this research was completed earlier, the implementation of the Network Economics phase would have occurred at the same stage as shown here. Dynamic Fees been one of the hottest topics for a long time and we did intend to put it out with the first batch of LIPs but it wasn't quite ready - it's def going to be one of the next added. Will keep you posted!
Maybe not 2019, but 2020 is a make-or-break year.
Currently 48MM in reserves and spending forecast for 2019 and 2020 equals 55MM. Either there are sources of revenue and/or investment, or Lisk project ends.
Speaking of leaky funnels, Max's website does not have a valid security certificate for https
Might be best to have it just straight redirect to Lisk.io anyway rather than a static page with a link to Lisk.io
The decentralized democracy concept is one of the most interesting blockchain use cases for me, personally. As you've mentioned, modern voting systems struggle with a lot of issues that make them vulnerable to fraudulent activity. Their obsoleteness makes them no longer efficient. Blockchain can be implemented to track the validity of the voting process, as well as its automation, as there's no central entity needed to check the results (we got a cool article about it at the Lisk Academy).
Implementing this innovation will not be easy though, as there are a lot of struggles and concerns regarding the tech and it will require a lot of work on a national level to secure the system. It's a great effort to be made and it would be my personal dream come true to have this sort of Dapp built on Lisk. We work hard to deliver a solution that will be reliable for such projects.
From what I know, some test elections have already been run in Thailand (for primaries), which is good, but it will still take some time to make it official on a national level and probably even more to disable the current system (a huge tech-awareness gap in the modern society). I keep my fingers crossed for it, though!

Yes, they have some fiat holdings, although they aren't listed on https://lisk.io/lisk-foundation. I am also not sure on the exact amount as of this moment. Maybe someone else can be of more help.
Hello everyone! I want to run Ubuntu 18.04 x86_64 on my pi(raspberry pi 3 b+) but i know it is not supported, because of ARM processor. But i know it is possible to emulate something on raspbian, anyone has good tutorial of doing it?
I want to run "Lisk Core" on raspberry pie
https://lisk.io/documentation/lisk-core/setup/pre-install/binary
The financial status of the Lisk Foundation is being shown on the website [here]. When it comes to the full financial reports, including cash reserves, we do not have the human resources to provide them on a regular basis. It is just not possible with our current setup however, we are aiming to make this happen in the future by expanding the team to allow for this. I hope this helps!
Good question. The Lisk Core documentation says:
> Lisk Core is the program that implements the Lisk Protocol. Every machine must set it up in order to run a node that allows for participation in the network. Setting up Lisk Core enables a user to:
> * Contribute to the decentralisation of the Lisk network > * Explore data recorded on the Lisk blockchain > * Post transactions to the Lisk blockchain > * Enable/Disable forging for a registered delegate > * Configure Lisk Core to specific needs, as required
I will for the time being (Re-Direct) the Domain to lisk.io as a courtesy. If someone in the future would like it as a stand alone link- then it would need to be purchased. Trying to support LISK and do the right thing.
Hey /u/DRetherMD,
When it comes to many of these terms, they were put in place by our legal team in the earlier days of Lisk.
What these conditions are, are simply ToS that are disclosed to shield the Lisk Foundation in the case that an extreme & unlikely event was to take place where we may need to responsibly take action (Code change, new version release, etc). It's always the very last resort, and us taking action is never solid or final being that this involves a decentralized blockchain that we don't have true control of, but the ToS are in place merely as a pro-active measure just in case.
Regarding section #8.
This would involve details that were provided during ICO and may also include the data provided during the browsing of lisk.io, it doesn't go past here as there would be no other possible way to gather information.
Regarding section #10 & #13.
This section breaks down the many events that would call for an environment or situation in where it would make sense and be valid for us to step in. To be more direct in answering your question on this, the way we may attempt to try to do this would be by releasing a Lisk update that would blacklist your address in essentially not allowing you to use it. Though, an update, as do any, have to be accepted by our network users, so if it is accepted it means that it was more than likely something the network wanted and thought was fair or morally right to take place.
Regarding your question on if this would affect sidechains, it would not being that, again, we don't have true control in a Blockchain and would have less of an influence on a Sidechain (Blockchain) that would be created for your platform.
I hope this helps and also that I explained it well enough 👍
I think HQ got it under control. Last year you got 5 lisk pr block mined and it got lowered to 4 lisk pr block in December last year and then it will be lowered to 3 lisk around December this year and so forth until its only 1 lisk pr block. I'm not sure if my numbers and dates are correct.🙄 And not to criticise but you could have found all the information on the lisk website. 😉 Hope this helps you out.
https://lisk.io/documentation/the-lisk-protocol/network-rewards
This is from the lisk website The block reward linearly decreases over the lifetime of the network, providing significant incentive to actively participate as an active delegate. The reward will decrease every 3.000.000 blocks from the initial reward block

So yeah it is nano lisk https://lisk.io download it here.
Create the wallet with the application with password etc.
Just make sure to note all the information somewhere and never lose it. I personnally do not let my passsord on my computer or in a cloud.
I also always verify if my internet connection is safe thst I have no viruses on my computer etc etc.
I do not not if you you are new on the crypto world or not but if you are not read a lot before doing anything.

Now I want to diversify my crypto portfolio a bit now that I've made around 2.5x my initial investment.
>I know altcoins can be risky, but they're all down in price now and it seems like a good time to buy into a few. I've done my research and am looking to get into Cindicator , Upfiring (ICO), and Lisk as I really like the premise of each of these projects/coins.
>My question is - is this smart? Do you guys typically diversify into other coins or is holding it all in Bitcoin (and Bitcoin Cash, whichever you believe in) the best way to make gains?

For alt coins really the simplest way is to first buy BTC, you can do this just about anywhere (one of the most popular is www.coinbase.com, all you need is a Credit Card and/or Bank account and/or Paypal account). You don't have to buy an entire coin you just buy whatever amount you are willing to pay for, an example would be if you wanted to buy $30 worth of bitcoin you would buy 0.011083 coins.
Once you have that and you have a wallet (I would recommend Jaxx since it is very user friendly) you then go to www.changelly.com and then convert BTC into whatever altcoin you want which then gets transferred to the wallet designed for those coins, for instance ZEN uses Eleos which can be found here and LSK uses Nano which you can get here.
Be sure to remember the Passphrase/Password for your wallet because there NO WAY to regain access to your wallet ever again if you don't know it.
Download Lisk Nano. https://lisk.io/download Run it. Enter your passphrase. Copy the number ending in "L" under the word "Address" in the top left of the app. You have to use CTRL-C to copy I believe. This is the address that you tell the exchange to send your Lisk to. Start with a small amount to make sure that it works and you can access it.
Jaron Lukasiewicz and Lisk Founder Max Kordek Join SONM Advisory Board
SONM will launch its Initial Coin Offering (ICO) on June 15, 2017 and issue tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.
SONM (Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining) today announced that Lisk CEO Max Kordek and former Coinsetter and Cavirtex CEO Jaron Lukasiewicz, have joined its board of advisors.
SONM ICO goes live in under 15hrs! June 15 @ 1700UTC

Correct! One correction though, you won't be able to use >a really long string of random characters
Lisk enforces BIP39, so you will need to use a passphrase that complies with this (The client can generate one for you).
There should be no problem with using https://login.lisk.io/ but if you are paranoid about security, you can always run the client on your own computer/server: https://lisk.io/download
It would be considered safer since you aren't relying on trusting someone else's node. The official Lisk nodes should be considered safe though and it's much easier/quicker.
You can find the instructions for installing the client here: https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-docs/README
I'm assume this wage was on a one specific project basis (I.E. not full-time/part-time).
I believe you could be a great addition to the Lisk team.
You can read more on Positions available here

If you're referring to "work" on the code and/or platform, we have three developers: Oliver, Francois and Isabella.
Also, the Lisk team is currently hiring highly passionate and motivated developers: https://lisk.io/careers
The team of developers is set to grow during the upcoming weeks/months.
If you don't want to learn to program, then find a freelance javascript developer that either knows how to make one or is willing to learn. There are plenty, I'm sure even on this sub. You could even try to grab a student that is looking to learn. You'll be able to spend less and the student will be able to make some money doing it while learning a new skill. I'm a developer and I would have jump at the opportunity as a student.
If you are cool with learning (and I assume you want to use Lisk), then start with a javascript tutorial, read the lisk documentation, and join the lisk dev community.
BTW: Afnora posted a link to the Ether documentation, not the Lisk one. This is the documentation for Lisk Dapp development: https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-dapps-docs/README
The most safe suggestion is to download the local client
https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-docs/BinaryInstall
It is stable ans safe; make sure the blockchain gets synced before sending the transaction.
Check your transaction and wallet on this explorer:
If the transaction is not there, it never went through. Please download the local client at https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-docs/BinaryInstall and try again.
No need to wait if you don't want to. With docker installed on Windows its just to run "docker pull ubuntu" and do a src install like described on https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-docs/SourceInstall you also need to run apt-get install apt-transport-https
