To be perfectly honest, the amount of money is a joke, especially since you don't specify what software you're running on the receiving end. $25 is probably enough to pay someone 15 mins to tell you what to do.
Or, you could use something like Zapier which has a ton of integrations already and you can configure it yourself.
There are already plugins that do this. WooCommerce will give you the PayPal functionality. Product Add-Ons is an extension of WooCommerce that will enable customers to select properties of products. The extensions costs $49 for a single site.
Just up to you to configure it. You can pay someone to set all of this up, but it could be a few hours work depending on how many products and properties you have.
Also, it's annoying when someone asking for work assumes it's a simple job. If this is to be coded from scratch, it's definitely not a simple job. I don't know why you would assume it's easy unless it's to try to show that you somehow know what you're talking about, but it just makes you look like a know-it-all, which has nightmare client written all over it.
Just some friendly advice.

So simple it would be a crime to charge, go here for more info
Actually that's not true at all. They are a niche and they are in demand. They require more than just a tablet and vector software in nearly every case of a high quality design. In fact, most of these designs were likely done with a brush pen on regular ol' paper, and then scanned, and manually vectorized (meaning not image traced). The way that the vectors are placed is also important to achieve the clean look that the OP is looking for.
For instance, check out Mackey Saturday's Instagram logo:
https://dribbble.com/shots/1054954-Instagram-Logo/attachments/129087
In this breakdown you can see there is much coordination in his design. I'm not saying all typographic logos go into this much depth, as his budget probably allotted for much thought, however, to achieve the kind of look the OP is going for is generally going to be more than just needing a tablet and design software... which is true about any good design. That'd be like saying just because someone has a toolbox they can build a house, or has a car so they can be a racer. I mean, it just doesn't follow suit and neither does it in design. The techniques and knowledge are just as important - probably more so - than simply having the tools.
Use https://nextdoor.com/ to post that you're looking for work. I know the last time I moved, we paid some local teenagers with a truck to take away all our moving trash that we found on there. It helps especially if you get people who have hired you to post/comment about their experience with you after to add to your legitimacy. Dog walking, lawn mowing, house sitting, house cleaning, essay editing, tutoring, babysitting, etc are all things you can advertise on there if you're looking for local jobs. It's less sketchy than craigslist
Yeahhhh. I dont like being mean/harsh but your "portfolio" made me cringe and nope out of the internet for a while :/
Maybe look at some design on https://www.behance.net/ for inspiration. Especially the graphic design area.
You will get there im sure.
Remember anyone can slap some images and colours together to make something, a design is one who makes it look good.
Hey, I'm not applying for the job. Just swinging by to give you a friendly warning about your website.
In one word it's a mess. Really slow and clunky, it ruins the whole user experience. You can see the Gtmetrix report here:
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.mytoxicfreefuture.com/rqsMcvyr
Too many requests and performance issues for seemingly a straight forward website that is supposed to promote your product. Complex web apps are faster and smoother than this.
Here it is on my own browser on a 100mbps u//d optical fiber internet connection:
I hope this is useful to you somehow.
I fixed this for you. Should have better luck using this version of your resume. Still need to input your email address in header.

Impressive, worth sharing!
Sounds like you just want to do this:
https://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/custom_domains
It would take you like, a minute.
Unless you want the URL to load your website, and then inside that show your tumblr stuff. Then it's a bit different.
Oh, I feel sorry for what happened to you. Hope you don't refrain from [/r/forhire](/r/forhire) because of this.
Have you tried filing a dispute yet? I believe this is the way to go in such cases.
Good luck!
That doesn't look like a few lines to me
Once you have the byte data, then what? You have to do something with it surely. It's not that simple, and would certainly need to go through plenty of testing (I've dealt with byte data before, it's never a one step process).
$10-15 doesn't even cover the time spent discussing your requirements.
There's technically nothing bad about it, since its encapsulated in its own scope, but _
is used by two very popular libraries lodash and underscore.
As far as I can see, you're just using it to shorthand this
, not fix this
references. It's needless, and adds confusion to the code.
If you need to fix this
references, the standard is var that = this
, or var self = this
.
Going to be honest: with a site that looks like that, nobody will hire you, even if you're an amazing programmer.
Red text on blue with a script font. If you don't know colour theory, use Adobe's Kuler to help.
Gradient background
Aliased title font
Your main point (contact) is at the very bottom of the page
All the text is on the left of the screen.
The site layout is poor; the main content of the page should be held inside a centered, segmented box. Take a look at the jquery site for what I mean.
Even if you're mainly a programmer, having an ugly or unreadable website will turn the employer off immediately.
This one seems solid: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ukpostbox.com You can also check their facebook page, seems to have some genuine reviews on there as well.
A few negative ones, but you will probably never find a company without any. I can't vouch for them, but they look legit.
I'm not sure if you've ever heard of it, and it may not be quite what you're looking for, but http://www.taskrabbit.com/ is a pretty good source for quick, usually 1 time, jobs. If you are just looking to make some quick easy money to keep you afloat while you search for a "real" job, then task rabbit may help you out. I personally have not used it, but from what i've heard it's a great service.
I'm sure IVPN is the client. But two things:
The tinyurl was completely unnecessary and automatically flagged his post as spam.
Lead Developer for DriveMode here, do you guys have an API? Are you looking for a native developer? Looking forward to hearing from you soon, thanks.

Jobs/Gigs posted on CL in the last 7 days and containing the words "solar" and "engineer".
Do with it what you will.
This isn't rude, this should be common practice. Paypal is a service that the Designer / Developer is profiting from which is why they are charged the fee. It is also against PayPal's ToS to charge this fee to the client (this is common as well credit card surcharges are the same): https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US 4.6 No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.
This has nothing to do with Bitcoin, it has to do with paying before completion. As /u/furuknap said, it's the same as paying with cash. Granted PayPal gives you the ability to dispute, but have you ever actually read the Terms of Service? You're not nearly as protected as you think (https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full#11):
13.3 If someone does programming work for you, that is a service. Services are not protected under their Buyer Protection policy.
13.2(a) If you pay someone a partial payment, that's also not covered. Only a full payment for something is covered.
Source: Never lost a dispute. Haven't ripped anyone off, but gotten into arguments with clients over things before.
I can do this right now and have it done by tonight. Here's my resume. I've completed numerous other GUI-related Python jobs through /r/forhire (as you'll see). You can contact me either through my email () or by PM'ing me on reddit.
I look forward to working with you in the future!
I sadly don't know anyone who'd be terribly helpful in the field but has he looked in Houston? The medical district in this town is just crazy, it's pretty much a miniature city within downtown.

Worth a shot anyways. I second the idea of trying for recruiters.
Excuse me (not a Philosophy Grad Student, just former Senior Lecturer, courses were connected with values) but take a look at http://www.openculture.com/philosophy_free_courses (there are many things, much more interesting, compared with the history of philosophy).
Hey man, I followed over here from your original post. And wow, I'm cringing reading this. I would never apply to your company based on either post.
I think you're trying to be funny (maybe I just don't get your humor) but instead it just sounds extremely unprofessional. This reeks of web 2.0 rockstar and ninja job offers and are immediate red flags to me. I'd seriously consider outsourcing your hiring or at least getting another team member to review.
You're looking for serious, professional developers. Represent yourself the same way.
There's nothing I mind sharing publicly, but feel free to respond in a PM or email me at if you want to talk about it privately.
Right. Our chief competitor is thingiverse. Well actually the reason we exist is because of thingiverse. Thingiverse is 3D printings github, and it's pretty evil recently.
So the general idea is to overtake them.
There are a lot of smaller open source 3D printer manufacturers competing with makerbot (who owns thingiverse). The main goal for monetization is to have companies donate to the commons, like IBM and the like donate resources to linux. Also donations.
Another potential source of income would be to partner with an on-demand 3D printing service, so people can buy objects on rhombik directly. Although that obviously gets into some murky waters considering we let users use whatever license they want. Not something we'd be doing for a long while, especially as there aren't really and pro-open-source on demand print services, and we're very dedicated to supporting the open source friendly economy.
Right now we're largely focused on growing a userbase. A big step towards that is a tool to import your files from thingiverse. They are by far the biggest, and we have a few users who are very prolific on thingiverse, but haven't copied their content over to rhombik because it's a pain in the ass.
So yeah, that's kind of a general overview of the problem space.
I mod /r/3Dprinting, and we did a "thingiverse opinion survey" on that userbase a while back. You can find the results here.
Why don't you sell yourself as a more typical job title in the field? I know ethical hacker is colloquially used and maybe would get some more upvotes here but I think you'd be a bit more marketable if you use positions that are commonly used in job descriptions.
My wife does related work as a contractor for the government and she's called a "Security Analyst." If you really want to remain in the more specific roll of penetration testing, you could also try "Vulnerability Assessor," or even just "Penetration Tester."
As an aside, if you've got decent experience and/or credentials and you want to find a job quickly, you should move to DC, because there's tons of well paying jobs in the field here.
The dating site thing, well, Path.to has been able to get itself out there as a dating site for jobs: http://techcrunch.com/2012/04/24/with-1-5m-from-adecco-path-to-wants-to-be-the-eharmony-for-jobs-in-silicon-valley-and-beyond/ (edit: new post from Dwolla, that came up after I mentioned path.to)
There was an article I saw not long ago where people were hiring indian firms to apply for jobs for them, and apparently it works, some guy got a great manager position thanks to his resume being spammed everywhere and into every ATS.
I was under the impression PeopleSoft was not just an ATS but a "complete package"?
I'm with you: I hate them too. In a world where we still use e-mail simply because it works and it's cross-compatible with fucking everything, they've decided that using something that simply doesn't work and isn't compatible with anything is a genius idea because they can customize it. As someone who works with the clients like those mentioned in /r/web_design, I know that the likely reason they continue to use ATS is because managers that don't attract talent think that the ATS customized with their "unique" style of questions is the best way to get the people they want, instead they get whoever has 3 hours to spend (I've had it take that long thanks to 'followups' you get immediately after finishing, personality tests, etc) filling out this shit. And the talented people don't have that much free time to waste on a tiny fraction of a chance to even get a phone call.
Hello there!
My name is Bárbara, and I’m a self-taught, passionate UI/UX designer and Illustrator based on Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm also studying to become a Fashion Designer, so I have a great understanding of aesthetics and communication.
You can take a look at my portfolio available in Dribbble: https://dribbble.com/barbaramercedes You can also check my UpWork profile: https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~0104a7de010f93e646
You can find me reading up on the latest tutorials, as well as browsing the web for awesome design. I'm constantly learning new things and I always give my best on every project in which I work. I have ability with: • Photoshop • Illustrator • Sketch • UI/UX • Wireframing • Website Design • Mobile Apps Design
I love everything that concerns to design. I really enjoy working in projects that can make the difference and help people to have a better and easy life. And I'm more that interested in cool projects, even more if I can get more knowledge and experience with them!
I speak Spanish as native language and fluent English, so communication won't be a problem for us. For any inquiries or questions, you can add me to Skype.
Thanks, Barbara.
Oh wow, this is interesting. Adobe is doing something similar with Sensei, right?
I wonder how layout construction would work. UI colors can be generated from asset images (color quantization) and presented as a palette to the user, but layouts... Maybe pre-defined based on type of site, and evolves accordingly to assets/content? What about UX? Hotjar is doing something interesting in that regard, maybe that can be used as training data to optimize UX.
...this really is interesting. I think I found something to try this weekend.
I'll just put this here:
http://www.indeed.com/forum/cmp/Neteffects/YAWN-Another-bait-switch-sales-position/t28518
> YAWN!!! Another bait and switch for a sales position > >Don't fall for these anymore. Sounds like IT and turns out to be a sales job or it's just the H1B scam again.
There are a bunch of postings for Seattle University's Admin Assistant/various positions I don't work there, but I'm hunting in the area (in a different field, but, I see stuff)
good luck otherwise :)
You might get some milage out of this. Has a free tier to try, but you will have to pay for your volume and frequency. not my tool either so I can't do support for ya, but good luck!
my man, you have resources such as Freelancer.com or Upwork.com that you can use to create "milestones" so that the client is in control of payment. Short of using a platform that can handle those things for you, you should have followed a basic payment outline: 20/20/20/20/20 - where each piece is a percentage of work done for payment done, or the simpler: 20/60/20

Anyway - that's for the future. If you feel slighted then take him to court.
NCat has the support for multiple connections that netcat is missing and you can use it as a drop-in replacement for netcat.
http://nmap.org/ncat/guide/ http://junker.org/~tkh16/ncat-for-netcat-users.php
Maybe that could solve your problem faster.
Firefox addons are zip files, except the extension is changed to .xpi. So when you download the socialite.xpi from their website, just extract it like you would a .zip file. The file I edited is called "install.rdf".
Every addon has an install.rdf file which tells Firefox things like Addon-Name, Author, Website, URL to pull updates from, and so on. There's also a field for min-version and max-version. This addon was made for Firefox 3, so the min version was something like 3.5, and the max was 3.6 I think. So I just opened it up with a text editor and changed the min to 4.0 and the max to 4.0 which allows FF 4 to install.
After trying that and seeing it didn't function properly, I tried going to the Add-on Builder for FF 4. You give it the addon name and everything, and it will generate the skeleton for you addon. So I did that, then copied all of the extra files from Socialite's .xpi and updated a filed called "chrome.manifest" which tells FF where everything is located in your addon. After doing that, I had no luck.
Hi!
I'm an experienced NET MVC developer, but at least in MVC, there's kind of an standard to always keep it on the same DB (if required split them in different customizable projects). However, take a look at this article: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/848111/Multi-Tenancy-System-With-Separate-Databases-in-MV
If you require help, let me know, NET MVC can be very confusing when you first start doing something, btw I'm starting a site to help devs, get over the first learning curve. (Not ready yet)
A good developer (which it looks like /u/swordx10 is) knows and can explain to clients that PageSpeed score is by no means the be-all and end-all. In fact, optimizing for that can lead other parts of the project to suffer.
The important metrics are TTFB, and page load time, which his site scores well on.
https://www.webpagetest.org/result/161130_XW_HVRF/
The total load time is 12.4s, which is high, but everything is visible, usable, and to the end user, done at 1.8s, which is fairly respectable. ( < 2s target time), on first load.
Very sharp site!
Edit Source: WordPress Dev who specializes in optimization. There are very few things that I would say could be improved without sacrificing quality, other than a shorter video. (which is a sacrifice), and some minor image optimization.
You need w3 total cache on that site asap. Results from google page speed insights as well: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fthesavvybackpacker.com%2F&tab=desktop
Then you'll need to do a custom minification settings to make sure you're scripts work together when minified.
From my limited knowledge of Markov Chain (Just did a google image search) it appears to be a state diagram.
Would something like this be able to do it https://d3js.org/
If so I might be interested in doing it as I want to learn d3js
Come cross post this to SFbayjobs... regardless of where you live, you can make a killing there!
Also, try a TaskRabbit. They're growing like weeds, too.
Come visit and check out your "Transcriptionist" flair!
Since its a WordPress site then maybe look for an existing WordPress plugin that can do what you need.
Or try out Zapier to trigger an action based on a WordPress event, https://zapier.com/zapbook/twilio/wordpress/
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zonder-collect-the-world/id1350039904?mt=8

Here you go! Both iOS and Android. You'll need an Invitation Key to start using it (we're not fully releasing it yet), so try "ZonderWorld".
This sounds like a fun project, actually: what would it feel like to help someone realize the difference they'd make in the world.
Not sure I'd qualify (I live in Brazil, probably a different timezone and I'd have to whatsapp you, not landline calling), but maybe you should try reading The War of Art, by Steven Pressfield. It helped me a lot in overcoming some mental blocks I had and in getting shit done.
Good luck and congrats on taking the first step, though.
Sent you this as a PM, but am posting it here too, with some minor edits:
I find that Bjarne Stoustrup's C++ Reference is a very good book, because he has covered more than must C++. However, it is a bit complicated for someone who is learning their first language.
Normally, I would tell a beginner to first learn C programming language using Kernighan And Richie's The C Programming Language. You should also have an idea of processor architecture, including knowledge of registers. That helps to know about how the C programming actually works. For example, if I have code like;
int i = 1 , j = 2, k;
k = i + j;
Then you should be able to write pseudo code in assembly for this bit of code.
That is one way of doing it. Many people will say that today you should not bother about low level stuff, but only learn C++ as the high level programming that it is. It all depends on what your target job is going to be.
If you are learning programming concepts for the first time, then Ruby and Python are good languages to start with. I would personally go with Python because it is more popular, so there is more online support.
Still, I don't somehow think that one should begin with Python, because Python language is much much simpler than C/C++. Once you learn Python, C may seem more difficult or boring to you. It all depends on the person who is learning, so I can't say for sure what one should learn. What language someone likes is dependent a lot on their personality; which is the reason why people can't agree on which language is better among any two. So one can't say what you will like beforehand. Personally, I have spent a lot of time on C/C++, so I find that it is easy to pick up languages based on their syntax and concepts, such as Obj C and Java for me. That is but natural.
I am not sure if this rant of mine is any helpful to you, but you can always ask more questions.
> never take 20 minutes to say what can be said in 5.
To CiderMonkey, read "On Writing Well." This will help your resume (and people like tillio) and your programming skills (cleans up the code as much as possible).
Why not use Google Slides? You can get it here. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.docs.editors.slides
Then you just have to open your PowerPoint and cast your screen.

I can do this for you so long as you don't mind stock templates that look decent? I'm doing this in order to keep costs down. What sort of look are you looking for? It would be $60 if you want me to configure it for you. Video animations included.
Mind if I have a crack at it? Do you have a logo in an eps / ai format?
I know I didn't link a portfolio. However I am willing to render a preview before payment. And I'm willing to talk to you over the phone. I have a legitimate business in the U.S.
Edit edit: By any chance is this your logo? And is this your page?
I can work with that if you want a ram preview?
You can refer to this resume.
was made by a redditor as well. Can't remember the link but say thanks if you find it.

We're a django dev shop so they are all web development related. Sadly we posted this like a month ago and none of the 7 responses even tried the questions. We got several responses saying "I couldn't do the questions but you should hire me!" lol
How possible would it be to implement something like this? I know the "smart" watch idea has been around for a while, but maybe they're starting to get cheap enough to be interesting. It wouldn't even have to have as much functionality (initially) as the one above, maybe just a nice looking digital watch with a decently high-res screen.
It looks like you have to create a refund first, which makes sense. https://stripe.com/docs/api/refunds/create?lang=node
If you need a node instance somewhere, I can help with the code/server implementation. You could probably put a simple Heroku instance for cheap.
Hey I'm a graphic designer with experience in Brand Identity and Logo Design and I can help you out with your logo. Check out my portfolio: www.iskorn.com and my Dribbble: https://dribbble.com/ChrisKorn if you like it drop me a line and we can discuss the matter further. Cheers

Hi Aforestlife,
The short and dirty way of explaining child themes is its a theme to modify an existing theme, without using a child theme when the author makes changes to said theme and you the owner of the site updates the theme, any previous modifications to the code will be overwritten with the new code written by the themes author.
If I was accepted for this project, what I would propose is simply building a new theme from scratch, by the sounds of the project, its pretty simple and I could get the basics of the theme built in a couple of hours, then make changes to your preferences. This doesn't include testing the theme, and checking for cross browser compatibility which would be done during and after the build and may take a little longer.
How I would go about this is ask you to look through dribbble and have you let me know what designs you like, and what you like about them. For example, by the sound of it you want something similar to this but more exciting.
The advantage in this is the result will be a much less bloated website as you will have a theme built to your needs rather than a one size fits all.
If this interests you I can send you my last client project so you can get an idea of the quality of work I produce.
Hey I can definitely talk with you and see where you're going with this. I do motion graphics/ animations and other things of the sort. Here's my animation reel, it's a tinybit old.
"Traditional" animation is computer animation these days (I think). Just 2d instead of 3d. Essentially from what I hear people use cintiqs and software like TvPaint or Flash to draw and animate these days. If you check studios such as The Mill (UK\US) and Buck (US) they do a lot of 2d animation for commercials and they earn the big bucks from what I hear.
I wasn't thinking a demographic, more like market to get hired (clearly you're looking for work? not sure if this is just a hobby for you though). The videogame industry also relies on heavily detailed 2d art these days on stuff like mobile, but I have no idea how that works.
I am a programmer and almost certainly not qualified. You can tell that I am not the most confident, at least in this area. I have an extensive passion for making people laugh and have always been naturally funny.
Even though it's a long shot I went ahead and threw together a couple samples I had recorded on my phone while on my way home from work.
Thanks,
Hi, Adler,
I just e-mailed you.

Hi, Adler,
I just got a great look at the site.

Here is a image of my work on a site that hasn't yet gone live, but is fully coded. The image at the top in the Polaroid border is the featured image set for the post. Personally, I like to google as much info as possible to try and determine legitimacy.
Generally speaking, the higher a profile a person has, and the more they are in the public spotlight, the more comfortable I feel in dealing with them.
For example, on this job board, I'd rather deal with other redditors that have an established history. This way you can look at that history to see if others have had problems dealing with people.
As for the work that I personally do here, which is typically digital (graphics, video, audio, etc.), I'll go through the design phase providing low-res, watermarked images for review, and only provide final hi-res deliverables after I receive payment.
An example...

Of course, if you develop a good working relationship with somebody, you can adjust your policies based on the level of trust that develops.
In your case, where your talking about dealing with people in person, you should take all of the usual precautions that you see advocated by your local crime prevention agency. Make yourself aware of scams & social engineering & how they operate.
Try to make contacts within your local police department, so that you have somebody that you can unofficially talk to for advice when needed. The police should ideally be aware of crime patterns in your area, and knowing somebody might keep you informed where you wouldn't normally be.
That's right. It's through Wordpress.com. But we don't need anything fancy (most of our work is in person). We just need a landing page which is why I chose Squarespace. I have that all created already. Thanks

Currently under contract with the US government but I might be able to fit it in but I will say your rate of $200 will only get you two to three hours but go ahead and show me what you have and I'll help where I can. Is this Drupal 7 or Drupal 8?
Let me ask you this , according to you, is my logo above worth $40 ? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did you charge your client for this?
I charge $250 for 8 unique concepts. Which I know is bellow industry standard.
Btw, If you have a bit of free time give this a read for me

Hi there,
I'd be happy to talk with you more. I'm just getting this freelance service up and going, so I'm still trying to set rates and schedules. But I want to leave myself the freedom to work individually with redditors, and to be able to cater to your personal budget. I'm attaching my resume, so you can see a bit about my personal background and qualifications:

Er... you can find something like that on sex shops that sell BDSM stuff.
It's called Saint Andrew's Cross. https://www.amazon.com/St-Andrews-Cross-BDSM/dp/B077WCSNL5
You can probably find a local woodworker to make one for you though, will be cheaper than 300.
Do you know if there is a good resource for checking out your 'product'? I was going to look into TeamCrafted's backplane, but apparently their community is invite only? ( this made my day: http://mashable.com/2014/03/02/minecraft-teamcrafted-youtube/ )
I couldn't find anything that would work as a demo.
Hey there,
I'm messaging you regarding your comment on my portfolio submission — I charge on a per-project basis, so I would have to know more about the business/project before giving you an accurate quote. I wrote up an outline of my usual process for you, so you can get an idea of how I work first:
I take 50% of the commission in advance
I send a design brief to be filled out — it ensures that what I create is in line with the goals and values of the business
I start research and brainstorming, and create drafts to be sent to for discussion and approval (here are some examples of what that can look like)
the decided direction is then revised based on feedback and discussion
once the final design is arrived at, I take the remaining 50%, and send the final files
This is a process I charge a flat fee for, depending on the scope of the project, and it includes any reasonable amount of revisions necessary to get to a design that is both something you're satisfied with, and something that best fits the project in all criteria. My usual turnaround time for a round of concepts/revisions is 72 hours, and payment is done through PayPal.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Edin

I'd love to work with you. I'm well versed in Sketch 2-3 and all Photoshop versions. I can do something like this within a few days and for very cheap, just pm me and my team!
Having dabbled in this before and from what I guess you are trying to do then I would make a VM image running a real light flavour of Linux like Mint or perhaps this one I just found on a Google search: Browser-Linux. Clone the images and see how you go.
If there are still performance issues then it is likely either IO from the hard drive (most likely) or CPU. Having multiple SSD's available and spreading the images evenly across them can help in that case.
That being said I have no idea what end result you are after. If you are trying to have several dozen users online using top heavy sites then you might just need more hardware.
>Or simply filing a suit in the second state/county with your judgement in hand (a basic, quick filing....I've never heard of one being challenge because that would be insane).
Courts do disagree about jurisdiction all the time, since it's an esoteric subject that's mostly turns on guessing how you feel about facts.
Here CA courts said there was PJ in CA, Texas courts said there was not, and the SC said there was. But for the miracle of getting cert the plaintiffs would have failed using your approach.
I don't see what the meaning of the Foreign Judgments act is between the states, since it doesn't seem to cover anything that full faith and credit doesn't.
Sure!
Here is the source file (PSD) for one of the latest pictures I have done - https://www.dropbox.com/s/tpef7vdjm0v6cgz/John%26Paul_XL.psd
Might take some time to download cause it weights 115mb, I can also provide a high-res JPG, just give me a shout.
Thank you SOOO so much in advance for having a look at my resume. I know you must be completely flooded with PM's and comments. Please let me know if I can return the favor for you! I'm a graphic and web designer, I'd love to make you something in return if you need it. Feel free to email me anytime,
So a little bit of background - I'm a graphic and web designer, occasionally illustrator, based in Nashville, Tennessee. My dream is to somehow work within the music industry, either at a label or management firm, or even at a design firm that primarily works with musician clients. However, I only graduated a little over a year ago, so I'm willing to work where I have to for the next few years in order to earn my chops and move up the career ladder.
Here is a copy of my resume that I've been sending out to folks that are hiring and in most cases, not hiring:

Here's another version, if you think one might work better than the other:

I always include a cover letter, and I hand write it each time (no form letters!) I follow up with an email first about a week later, and a phone call after that if I don't hear back from them. But after that, I figure it's probably best not to continue bugging them for fear of getting a bad reputation as that supper annoying applicant. Maybe I shouldn't feel that way? I don't know! I just need a job. :(
Thank you again a million times! This is invaluable information, and I truly appreciate the time you're taking to help out some (potentially starving) Redditors! ~Sarah
okay, another solution is to get rid of img tag and dump image source into style="background-image: url(image_url_goes_here); background-size: contain;" and then set width and height on the container with 220px to match the old site.
Personally being a developer for 20 years, I could care less about IE at this point. They've been a nightmare since version 6 and can't seems to keep up. Even mozila is not on my priority list anymore. Besides, most frameworks already come with pre-prefix and automatic shives.
Ditto what imacarpet said.
If you have more time than money, it's not too hard to gain a fundamental knowledge of html & css. Codeacademy is a free way to get started and will help you build a basic site and, just as important, give you the basic knowledge to vet web developers a bit before you hire them. Good luck!
