Coinmarketcap has officially changed over the logo and name: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/
Meanwhile, Bittrex continues to disappoint. Strike 1: high withdrawal fees. Strike 2: No GAS wallet collection. Strike 3: Not changing the brand of one of their highest volume coins on the day it happens, despite a month notice. Can't wait for other Western exchanges to outpace Bittrex's volume once NEO is listed. Bittrex is actively limiting the potential on this coin.
For those who don't know about QLC Chain, it was Qlink originally, rebranded to QLC Chain in May, focuses on building the public chain for Telecom industry. The project has a working project called WinQ features WiFi sharing and VPN sharing, assets registered on NEO testnet. NEO is 3rd most traded cryptocurrency globally, behind Bitcoin and Ethereum: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/volume/24-hour/
Methinks that price follows volume. More exchanges will add NEO if it continues to have the same volumes. Remember, exchanges are competing between each other for volume. They make their money from processing volume and charging fees on that volume. So if you're the CEO of an exchange you want to capture as much volume as you can, which means having the major currencies that investors want to trade. So if NEO is now a top currency in terms of volume globally, I am very very confident that it is being reviewed by the CEOs of the largest exchanges for addition onto their exchanges. More exchanges listing NEO will in turn drive even more volume in NEO trading, which will support and drive price.
GAS has the lowest volume in top 40 cryptos in the past 24h. I think something should be done to the accessibility of this currency.. I guess the manipulators have chased the investors away from the markets
Source: https://coinmarketcap.com/
Also if your interested in the past chances in the volume of GAS you can see them here
I think most of these concerns have been answered elsewhere in the sub and AMA. Agreat deal of your issues stem from translational issues and personally i have never had a problem with the wallet that i havnet had with other top blockchain wallets.
We do have important questions about Neo's unfinished consensus mechanism which we address here.
Essentially, 1.Neo holders cannot yet vote for honest bookkeepers. 2.It is unclear how Neo holders will evaluate bookkeepers. 3.No one on the public can become a bookkeeper because this is not yet coded onto the wallet.
And a few other issues regarding all this. Hopefully these issues get resolved soon.
It's begun? ZPN will be hosting a node, COZ as placed their nodes one is in CA and the other MI, forget the others, but i'm not expecting them to flip a switch per say but do a slow roll out like this.
Spread the word! We just need more vendors to start allowing Fiat purchases of NEO and it'll be flying!
So glad I kept building on my stack of NEO while it has been down the last few weeks... :)
Hey guys, I want to share a great guide about cryptocurrency with you all. If you are new, or even if you have been around for a while, it is an informative read. I highly recommend you take the time to check it out.
The Intelligent Investors Guide to Cryptocurrency - By /u/joskye
To all the new people who are looking to buy NEO on an exchange, remember that if you keep your NEO on most exchanges like bittrex you won't be given your monthly GAS dividend anyway. (only major exchange I know that gives you GAS is Binance)
If you want to buy NEO and other cryptos fast I recommend you send over either your BTC or ETH to Binance.com where you'll have a free wallet for everything. From there you can exchange your BTC or ETH for most of the other popular AltCoins including NEO and Binance lets you withdraw up to 2BTC worth per day without requiring your ID. It's the only popular exchange that I know that awards you with NEO GAS as well but I'd recommend an offline NEO wallet to keep your NEO anyway.
If you don't have an account with them yet i've included my referral code, so feel free to use my reference code.
Referral Code: 11299962
Good Luck
Note: Always make sure to send your Crypto to the correct wallet and address. Always double check address. If you send to the wrong one, you will lose it.
Edit 2 - Don't stress if your ETH/BTC deposit from Coinbase is still pending, there is currently a lot of congestion and most people have been waiting for hours for the confirmation to go through. If you're in a huge rush send LTC instead and exchnage it for BTC/ETH on Binance and then exchange for NEO
You're going to have to wait until a decent wallet gets released (IIRC the myetherwallet folks are supposedly working on a port) before you can go airgapped. But until then, you can at least be pretty confident the OS you're using has not been compromised in any way.
Read the About page for more details - https://tails.boum.org/about/index.en.html
Basically you boot from a usb stick/DVD and the OS runs in memory.
I don't particular like these hodl-mantra posts. It's absolutely cool to sell, just don't for the wrong reason.
Personally I think we are due for a correction, after (maybe) one more stretch up. The tech is great and all, but realize that neo hasn't really produced anything yet, it's all potential and promises for the future, read: speculation. At some point it's going to feel overvalued. Don't be too surprised when that happens.
Note that the wave prior to this one took us from $21 to $41 = +$20, while the last one did from $41 to $56 = $15 minus 25%, which shows growth slowing and could be a problem for a coin that has to have steady gains to reel new buyers in and keep the pace up.
Also see how Bittrex (a western exchange) leads the pack https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/#markets. It's not so much a hype in China, but a western speculation on a hype in China that's not really there (yet).
Overall on the 24 hour volume rankings Korbit currently ranked 18th: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/all/KorbitNot
If this happens, it will be NEOs first time on a korean exchange, I think.
Changelly has a long track record of issues like this. Most people that have been in Crypto for at least a year will have caught on to that already. If you are looking to buy NEO, Binance will have the lowest fees, and they also make sure to pay you your GAS for NEO, which not many people do. I still suggest storing in your own wallet, but if you are new, this is solid place to start until you get going. It's dangerous out there, be careful.
No, we're just getting started.
Be strategic.
Read "The Intelligent Investor," by (I think) Graham Bradley.
We have at least a year or two left of the gold rush.
Happy accidents are becoming more rare, but there is still plenty of room for explosive growth for those who are willing to work for it.
I can imagine that is very stressful.
Many of us here are working hard on NEO. There are never any guarantees in crypto, so there are no promises you will get your money back.
But, if it's of any comfort, take it from this one anonymous person online that NEO's days of growth are far from over. You might want to look at the statistics guy who did a thorough analysis of NEO compared to ETH.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NEO/comments/6wpa8m/detailed_analysis_of_price_fluctuations/
Secondly, for the future, I would highly recommend that you read Graham Bradley's "The Intelligent Investor."
Following his guidance will help you sleep at night. And in crypto, learning to sleep again takes practice.
Good luck, and whether you sell or hodl, we all hope good fortune finds your way.
NEO is my #1 investment, but recently i got into Metaverse ETP, it has a lot of similarity with NEO, and the CEO Eric Gu is one of the founding members of Antshare/NEO. here is a link if you want to check it out. https://steemit.com/cryptocurrencies/@randallmaller/in-depth-analysis-on-metaverse-etp
Quite a few of the alt coins are seeing red these past few days. Take a look at https://coinmarketcap.com/
The technology behind NEO is real, clever and exciting. Companies are just starting to develop their offerings with NEO and we're already seeing platforms like AdEx and Red Pulse being heavily invested in NEO.
As with all markets, they fluctuate. As the NEO platform matures and more companies come to the table, the price will take off again. The NEO team are still in the process of educating companies/developers (see upcoming events).
The future is very bright for NEO.
Check out the article, it explains why this is important and how NEO compares to Ethereum: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@deanpress/new-feature-dapps-on-neo-smart-contract-functions-can-now-be-executed-from-web-based-interfaces
according to this https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@deaf-null/why-i-am-buying-neo-gas-antcoins-instead-of-neo-antshares
1 / 2170 * 5 = 0.00230414747 / day
not low at all, at this rate that is $21 a year.
more than any other kind of stock dividends (and hopefully price will go up even more)
You will see a lot of EOS haters. I'm not in love myself, but you have to ask yourself, what if they pull it off? If they do, you are looking at one of the biggest game changers in the industry. Worth a shot? Maybe. Either way, for anyone looking a good exchange to purchase NEO and EOS, Binance has the lowest fees, and they also make sure to pay you your GAS for NEO, which not many people do. I still suggest storing in your own wallet, but if you are new, this is solid place to start until you get going.
We just posted an article addressing this topic.
In short, there is a lot about Neo's consensus structure that is still not complete. Especially the functionality of keeping the validator nodes honest via voting and/or becoming Validators. If you look at the blockchain explorers you will see only 8 times has someone nominated themself to be a bookkeeper and that this hasn't happened in almost a year. The functionality for Neo holder to vote on validators is not yet coded and even if it were there is no way to judge which bookkeepers are the most/least honest.
We hope this will change soon.
GAS is worth about $24 at the time of writing this: https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/gas/
If you hold NEO in your own wallet, you'll earn GAS passively. You can calculate your GAS earnings using this website: https://neotogas.com/
Once you've claimed your GAS (you can do this easily with the Neon wallet), you can then transfer it to Binance for trading.
GAS is what you get when you have your NEO in your wallet (instead of an exchange's wallet) and is used for smart contracts. There is an extremely low # of gas, so it might explode in price, which is happening, but may even go higher.
I generally check it on CoinMarketCap.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/
Whilst not the most visually appealing of websites, it is clear and concise (most important aspect imo). It's also the first link that shows up for me in Google searches.
> To be fair, the majority of their market is Chinese audience
Depends on the day. Looks like today non-China accounted for just under half. Some days, non-China accounts for north of 60% if I recall correctly. Also note that the largest trading source is an English speaking exchange. Source: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/#markets
I finally understand now why Neo, OmiseGo and TenX are not moving at all! Or at least it does make sense in theory..
Check out this article. Bitcoin is essentially different than what Ethereum and NEO are. Bitcoin is equivelent to what NEO produces if you hold: GAS. GAS can be compared to bitcoin because its currency based. Read this article, it will clear that up for you: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@endpoint/the-three-types-of-crypto-s-future-of-crypto-currency
Here is an article that may help explain this to you.
The 1000 GAS is your Stake. You can withdraw it at anytime but then you are no longer a Bookkeeper
There is a new wallet being developed. 31 July it will be released an Alpha version (early test version). But It will soon be a wallet.

"Pursuant to the recent report of investigation issued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Bitfinex is taking the proactive step of barring U.S. customers from trading certain digital tokens that may be deemed securities in the eyes of the SEC. The restriction will generally apply to ERC20 tokens issued through "ICOs" and will go into effect at noon UTC on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. No trading of these tokens will be allowed for U.S. customers. At the time of this post, the tokens active on Bitfinex that will be subject to this restriction are EOS (EOS) and Santiment (SAN)." https://www.bitfinex.com/posts
Uh oh
I would honestly check out Binance. I moved to there from Bittrex, been a much better experience. They have lower fees, ETH trading pairs and not just BTC. You get your GAS from NEO if it's on Binance as opposed to Bittrex keeping it for themselves
What exchanges are you guys trading on? If you aren't already getting NEO on it, I reccommend Binance, those 0.25% fees add up everywhere else so 0.1% per trade is a welcome relief, helps maximize those profits :)
Page 14 of the whitepaper: https://www.binance.com/resources/ico/Binance_WhitePaper_en.pdf
It's also telling that NEO and GAS gets preferential treatment for withdrawals (no fees) https://binance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000429332-Fee-Structure-on-Binance
Any market, crypto or blue chip stocks, will face the possibility of price correction (either up or down, depending on the previous trend). With Neo's recent rise to $50, its only natural to expect a correction that fits the same manner as the rise.
Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) crypto has the worst of this as there is no enforced regulation in place to stop whales and mass / rapid trading to occur as opposed to conventional stock markets.
If anything, trading volume should be reflective of whether you should stay on an investment or not. Take a look at the top 10 coins by trading volume and you'll see that there is at least some level of work, technical progress, and some minimal marketing / announcements towards their respective communities.
I hope that gives you some perspective on things.
EDIT: here's a relevant article on Stock Market Corrections

I bought Iota at .47 with a hold strategy in mind (the one I've had for all my investments till this point). The one time I tried timing the market was when I sold Iota at .83 when I dipped back down from .95. At the time I thought I was clever and that I'd buy back in at .47.
As you can see, it is better to just hold guy. And I don't mean the meme, I'm talking about the time tested investment strategy trumpeted by such investment greats as Benjamin Graham (Warren Buffet's mentor, read the book "The Intelligent Investor" it'll change your investment plans/strategies for the better).
Reddit is more of an entertainment source than it is a place to research a company and make intelligent investment decisions. The hold strategy is another way of saying "I can't time the market in the short term".
Hey everyone! Shameless cross post, I made a NEO themed 'live wallpaper' for Android, you can download it from the Playstore.

More than 2,000 BTC transacted on Binance today. That's insane.
Depends what your fiat currency is i suppose? Look on https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/#markets too see what is easier vs what makes gas on exchange kinda thing, if your already into Crypto and want to hold neo on an exchange and make gas maybe Binance.. but if your an American who has a bittrex account maybe buy some BTC and Buy some NEO then send to a wallet and make gas then that might be an option. not many adopted NEO exchanges are paying out GAS for holders at the moment - im in AUS and use CoinSpot bought NEO but they havent got gas or give benifits for holding NEO at this time, (its said it will happen but no time line) therefore hold some NEON wallets and moved my holdings off the exchange. :) hope i hepled
Strange CMC has 89.84 and Bittrex has 105.13.
You are definitely right that it will come back down if you are trading on Bittrex.
The best place to buy NEO is from Binance.. a big Chinese based exchange.
Binance also allows you to hold NEO on the exchange and earn GAS, one of the only exchanges that do this :)
I'm not on Bitfinex but I strongly advise and recommend to use Binance in the future. Lightning fast deposit and withdrawals for NEO and GAS and zero fee. Registration only takes a minute or 2. Good luck. 👍
I finally understand now why Neo, OmiseGo and TenX are not moving at all! Or at least it does make sense in theory...

This would be a wild ass guess. On top of just the trades, you need to calculate bot trading that will receive a discount after X amount of fees are paid and there are ALOT of bots trading.
You are better off doing the math with a series of numbers just for reference. Allowing you to see how the GAS retrurned changes at 200k transaction, 500k, 1 millon, etc.
Here's what OP is referring to: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/#markets . . . largest NEO market by a comfortable margin, and they're extremely friendly to having your NEO on there.
Only thing I haven't been able to figure out is when placing a buy or sell order, it seems you have to manually type in your order amount which is kind of lame, but I expect they'll iron that out soon.
I wonder how big it will really be for these new crypto listings.
Just considering its not much harder signing up for binance or bittrex than coinbase, especially for users who have already switched to gdax. On the other hand will probably see a big spike at least initially.

this is the result of your unprofessional attitude . you should not only learn from this event, but make DRASTIC BOLD measures to correct them!
I found this for those keep asking. Note: This was a Fake news retweeted on Neo Twitter and being removed. Just ignore it and move on as the official team has apologies: "Apologies for the confusion regarding the deleted retweet. New procedures are in place to ensure future posts meet our high standards."
Just the part "Partnering with China Certified Authorities" is fake. No partnering with any Gov yet.
I take the news that's driving the price up today as them talking about the certificate that is needed for bookkeepers or whatever it is.
I don't take it as backed by China but that's just my thought.
I'm also not sure if a non China resident can get this certificate.
Either way I'm happy for the run up in price as I dumped mine for the weekend
"How to Become a Bookkeeper
The process of becoming a bookkeeper requires 4 general steps:
Set up a full Neo node
Obtain an identification certificate from the Certificate Authority
It appears that this is not a requirement but is strongly encouraged Stake 1000 GAS to nominate yourself for Bookkeeping
Be elected by NEO holders to participate as a Bookkeeper"

We discuss this in some of our posts on our BasicCrypto blog on SteemIt

Easy to lose your hard earned NEOs...
Use Neon Wallet from City of Zion. If you did have NEO on an exchange it's best to have it on Binance as they give you your GAS whereas Bittrex keeps it for themselves
I suggest you to use Binance: https://www.binance.com/?ref=11251862

Lower fees and MUCH better system response! It is more dynamic and fast, at least, for me.
Furthermore, with the referral fees and bonus using BNC it becomes cheaper for trading.

Average price, or weighted average, means he accumulated his NEO at different prices over a period of time. This article is a great starting point.
I'm not an expert, so take this with a grain of salt:
As far as I'm aware, the issue with using a VPN would apply to fully KYC'd customers if it applies at all. In a pinch, a fully KYC'd user could make a new non-KYC'd account with a VPN, assuming they were OK with the 2 BTC daily limit.
More specifically, users using a VPN currently report or its equivalents. Of course, this is now and who knows if something will change in a few months.
To your final question, I'm not sure. I think it's safe to assume that the trading pairs will be limited when Binance US first opens, and that more will be added as time goes by. So the first question is whether ZIL would even be listed on the new site. Assuming it is, it'd be a matter of whether Binance would transfer your balances. My gut says that they wouldn't due to a combination of logistical, legal, and PR reasons, but that's just my opinion.
It seems that Hotspot Shield has an anonymity problem. They are injecting JS snippets and iframes to your browser session to spy on you... An US-NGO complained about this behavior at the FTC:

Sorry, I didn't mean leverage in terms of margin trading, I was using leverage to mean 'exploit' or 'take advantage of.' Sort of like the drought in California - I know it's a major issue people aren't addressing and will become a major crisis at some point, I just don't know how to leverage the situation to financially benefit..
You should read Dan Ariely's Predictably Irrational - he's a behavioral economist who argues even though people are emotionally driven and make irrational decisions, their irrationality happens in predictable patterns.
Hello, Reddit. Long time no see!
I am finally back with another update for CoinCurrently (iOS). What took the most time was that I was refactoring pretty much the whole app so that it will be faster to work on in the future but also to increase the performance.
I have also added a few new features. There are now more timeframes in the detail page of a coin. 1h, 3h, 6h and 12h. When comparing two coins, you can now also see which coin has gone up/down the most. Previously both had the same top/bottom.
It is now also possible to lock the app with Touch ID/Face ID if you want to hide your portfolio for an example. You can also disable the portfolio widgets and lastly, you can also make a backup of your portfolio with iCloud if you're about to switch phones etc.
On the same portfolio track, it is now also possible to add separate transaction so that your buying average is automatically updated or if you're adding a sell transaction, your profit/loss is automatically being calculated. With the next update I will also add so you can see and handle each transaction. It is currently being handled behind the scenes.
I will now start doing the same journey on Android.
I hope you like what you see :)

here is the ledger's official roadmap for supporting altcoins: https://trello.com/c/4Aa7Ug5a/20-altcoin-support-information notice there are many requests for NEO&GAS in there, in fact seems to be the most requested coin.
Not NEO but thought this was the best community to ask.. What's the deal with this coin? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/rialto/ - why the sudden occasional spikes and double in price amongst the usual stability, seems strange to me
Just quit crypto, or maybe I'll give you a tip. Put all your NEO cash to in HShare (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hshare/) which is currently at #12. Have fun nigga, hope you recoup your losses.
Well, considering that our Eric Zhang is mentioned in the [Binance whitepaper](https://www.binance.com/resources/ico/Binance_WhitePaper_en.pdf) and the technical level of the question he is asking in the document - I guess it's pretty unlikely that Binance has an other developer called Eric Zhang (Besides that the others you mentioned are only bloggers).
I think its fine if he is working with BNB, but with the time target for NEO 3.0 and the overall lagging development its kind of disappointing. It seems like none of the co-founders is really focusing on NEO - Da is setting up Ontology and others and now it seems like Eric has some better offers as well. This is kind of worrying imo.
From binance.com
All NEO holders on Binance will get GAS which is produced by NEO monthly. The details are as follows.
GAS distribution number = total distribution number of GAS * NEO holder position ratio (with 8 digits after the decimal point)
NEO holders position ratio = sum of daily position number for NEO holders/ sum of daily position number for all NEO users
The daily position number is based on daily snapshot of NEO.
Before 12am. of the second nature day in every month.
The statistics will start at the day one of Binance. The time of the first snapshot is 8am. on July 14th, 2017.
User A is in the scope of statistics, and A hold NEO for three days which have 30, 300 and 60 respectively. Therefore, the sum of daily NEO position is 390.
Assume that the total distribution number of GAS is 1000 in this month, and sum of daily position number for all NEO users is 600000;
Thus, the actual distribution number of user A = 1000*390/600000=0.65
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/
Market Cap: $1,962,305,000
Circulating Supply: 50,000,000 NEO
Price of 1 NEO = $1,962,305,000 / 50,000,000 = $39.25
You're thinking of crypto only as a currency like fiat, but it's also a store of value (especially right now, there are very little use cases yet). In your equation, if trading would be 2x slower on a given Sunday, then the price would be 2x cheaper. It makes no sense.
Bit of tangent, but in the real world if trading would decrease, then businesses would start to fail, GDP would go down and taxes would need to increase to stay afloat. In that scenario, the currency loses buying power and therefore value. Usually central banks inject more money into the economy to keep people spending and thus businesses from failing. Meaning the circulating supply increases, but the currency itself loses value. This is inflation. For bitcoin, that's not possible, the amount is fixed.
Do you even check Coinmarket place?
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/#markets
322 M volume is from Bittrex in the last 24 hours. That's 70% from the total volume?
Only 82 M is being trading to CNY? That's 18% ...
The 'Chinese Ethereums' volume is only 18% Asian +-... Something is not right.
This is great, to the top of front page you go! Can you please tell me though how did you make it so the market price that is downloaded from > =IMPORTXML("https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/" ,"//span[@class='text-large']")
is considered a number on your sheet? For me it downloads it as a text, so even though i have up-to-date price i cannot make any math on it, or use any formula because it's not considered a number but text. Any help would be appreciated!
you can, but look at volume...only $1000 volume for BTC while everything else on there is around -$3-$10 cheaper. Even if you sell NEO there you will be selling it for $16.5 (instead of $19.7-$20) and then buying GAS.
I'm actually not sure about transaction fees. I think the fee must be in NEO, because for instance you can send NEO from an exchange to a wallet, but at that point you don't have any Gas (because exchanges like Bittrex don't allow you to collect/store Gas).
I believe you need Gas to actually use the Neo network—to deploy smart contracts, etc.
Gas has its own market: https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/gas/#markets

I know this doesn't answer your question exactly, but here you can see what exchanges trade which pairs. Half is neo/btc, and a big chunk of what's left is neo/cny
This is not something that has gone up if you look at the big picture. During the original pump from 1.5 to 14$ Antshares would generally be the highest traded crypto in Yunbi volum-wise. It think it passed 40-50% several times, so today's share is actually quite low in comparison.
Also, Yunbi is far from the biggest eastern exchange, though it has increased in volume share recently. You can check out https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/ to see all exchanges by 24hr volume.
Not trying to rain on the parade, just informing. I've hodled since 1.50 when the reddit sub was practically a desert, but having followed the trajectory from that point, I just hope that we can try to not get overly exited and moderate our enthusiasm a bit. It's better with organic growth, and today's surge stopping where it is now, than it rising to a new ATH just for it to plunge to 9/10 again amidst all the panic selling from those who thought we we're gonna get to the moon in a day.
The good news is that Yunbi is not lagging prise-wise anymore, as it always did back then. That created space for arbitrage, withe the Chinese dumping to make profits every morning they were waking up discovering the 20-50 cent difference in price.
Buy ethereum for example on gdax, transfer it to binance. Buy Neo with ethereum, binance has free withdrawal for neo and it distributes gas to Neo holders.
I would appreciate if you used my referral: https://www.binance.com/?ref=10901238 Thx!
I hope you didnt transfer to bittrex yet. Use binance for neo trading, it has no withdrawal fees for neo and it distributes gas monthly.
Here use my referral: https://www.binance.com/?ref=10901238
Thx
They should do something similar to what Kava Labs is doing to bootstrap liquidity of SDUSD. Da Hongfei said SDUSD is not liquid enough to be useful (in the last AMA I think). Alchemint seemed to fast develop their platform, but in the last year or more there is a standstill. They say they have enough money for 3-4 years, so maybe they’re waiting for NEO 3? Who knows. Here’s what Kava Labs is doing:

Neonova is a web app that allows contracts invocation specifying the type of invocation (read, write), the contract, operation and arguments and directly see the results.
The project is production ready and integrates our other wallet package, the Neo-Wallet-Adapter, so that it may serve also as a production example project to be kept as a reference for devs.
We hope it may be a seed for an useful open source tool like Remix (https://remix.ethereum.org/) for Ethereum or Postman (https://www.postman.com/).
long description https://steemit.com/neo/@saltyskip/introducing-the-o3-wallet
TLDR: It is meant to function as a hot wallet and mobile client. You can send and recieve funds to your ozone wallet while also monitoring your cold storage addresses without security risks. In the future you will also be able to use DAPPS directly from your mobile device with this client
I finally understand now why Neo, OmiseGo and TenX are not moving at all! Or at least it does make sense in theory...
Neo - China OmiseGo - Japan TenX - Singapore

If you have a significant amount of money in neo, or any currency really that you want to protect, a hard drive, hell even a whole computer, will set you back <500
It's all about how you assess risk. I don't keep money on an exchange because they are very high profile targets and several have been hacked. There are ways around 2fa to someone determined (and technically skilled) enough. This is an interesting read: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@cryptoiskey/usd20-000-7btc-stolen-from-bittrex-captured-live-on-video-huge-lesson-learned this guy had 2fa and it was bypassed.
Not sure about the asterisks
https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@basiccrypto/neo-how-to-set-up-a-bookkeeping-node
"Bookkeeping node" was an early description under the antshares whitepaper and has been revised to calling them consensus node. They're the same thing.
Could be tricky how is it possible to earn more than 1 GAS for each NEO if there's equal amount of NEO and GAS. Here's a long explanation:
I read somewhere that ANS stored in web wallet can generate GAS without extra work, is that true?
https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@nvdm/officially-confirmed-holding-antshares-neo-in-web-wallet-generates-antcoins-gas
Circulating Supply on CoinMarketCap: 9.667.000 ANC
Issued GAS on neotracker.io: 2.923.390 NeoGas
Which one is right??
My 2ans: Bitcoin shot up very quickly, landing it in the over bought zone, and now naturally people are taking profits. Overall crypto market psychology is heavily linked with Bitcoin's, and price movements often coincide. Just look at this sea of red: https://coinmarketcap.com/ (I doubt it's coincidence)
Like i told the other person : Disagree : A cryptocurrency with rank or 6 accordingly has the 6th highest market capitalization of all the cryptocurrencies in the world. One cannot simply just ignore marketcap. It is a piece to the overall puzzle.
As far as not having a test net, well, Kusama is a form of Polkadots test net :
https://www.kraken.com/en-us/learn/what-is-kusama-ksm
I think its worth over 200 bucks per Kusama token.
They (Polkadot) are also moving forward with their auctions and development with other projects that are being built on Polkadot (WITHOUT) the transaction fees (Something ETH has a BIG problem with....insane transaction fees):

You need to do a little more research before you post.
To all the new people who are looking to buy NEO on an exchange, remember that if you keep your NEO on most exchanges like bittrex you won't be given your monthly GAS dividend anyway. (only major exchange I know that gives you GAS is Binance!)
If you want to buy NEO and other cryptos fast I recommend you send over either your BTC or ETH to Binance!) where you'll have a free wallet for everything.

Good Luck
Note: Always make sure to send your Crypto to the correct wallet and address. Always double check address. If you send to the wrong one, you will lose it.
Edit - Don't stress if your ETH/BTC deposit from Coinbase is still pending, there is currently a lot of congestion and most people have been waiting for hours for the confirmation to go through. If you're in a huge rush send LTC instead and exchnage it for BTC/ETH on Binance and then exchange for NEO
Also NEO withdrawals are free on Binance which is a plus
> Kucoin
You're close. They charge no withdraw or deposit fees on NEO and GAS, but all trades are 0.1%. This is the same as Binance, except Binance will let you cut that fee in half to 0.05% if you hold BNB and pay the fee in BNB. :)
Since you are new, you likely need an easier solution to obtaining your GAS than figuring out how GAS works in a wallet. Binance has the lowest fees for purchasing NEO, and they also make sure to pay you your GAS for NEO, which not many exchanges do. I still suggest storing in your own wallet, but if you are new, this is solid place to start until you have time to figure out how the wallet works. Make sure you are testing the wallet before you send a big transaction. Good luck and welcome!
I attended a webinar at kraken.com yesterday and was very enthusiastic about the way it was organized. The technical platform was zoom.us and it was a very clearly structured introduction of the different topics, accompanied by informative sheets. Questions were answered in real time and the moderators were able to get a quick overview of knowledge and audience through surveys.
I would join in straight away if you would organise something similar!
Maybe you can elaborate:
“Technically Ethereum functions as an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) as a “world computer”, and is made up of multiple languages including C++, Python, Ruby, Go, and Java. JavaScript serves as the backbone of Ethereum as it functions as a runtime environment with script execution.”
At this time the "Election" portion of the Neo wallet is not yet coded/functional.
This article addresses the currently understood process for setting up a bookkeeping node.
