I designed and printed a leaflet that folds into thirds and is printed on both sides a while ago using Lucidpress. I didn't need any special printer settings for this.
Cavana also has a brochure template.
And here's the Terms of Service (it's like a contract) you'll have to discard to follow their advice in #3.
>Stay away from contracts
>You're hiring a marketing company, not signing up for cable. Any company worth its salt won’t worry about keeping you around. Plus, a company that has you locked into a contract isn’t going to be as diligent about impressing you with their results.
Their "marketing" is spamming copies of this all over Reddit forums. So in a way, anyone could DIY and screw themselves up real well.
It was challenging enough digging out the address or citation. I gave up on the phone number.
It takes skills to be a victim of your own advice. I love how this self contradicts. Love it.
It's far from free, but a layout program like InDesign is probably what you're looking for. If you're looking for something free or cheap, this came up after a cursory google search. I'm sure there are other alternatives out there, as well.
Yes, that will be a big problem.

In January I decided I was going to apply for an internship this summer. I decided to create my resumé with Lucidpress, to make it look very clean, crisp and unique. I saw that most other kids were writing ugly white-and-black Times New Roman font resumés. I said "I'll make mine artistic and better-looking!", despite my father telling me 'no, you're less likely to get contacted'. But I was stubborn and applied with my 'pretty' resumé.

Out of the 45 positions I applied to, I only got 2 phone interviews and zero job offers. I didn't even get rejection e-mails from 30-35 of them. I had much more real-world experience than most of the other applicants, including starting 2 of my own businesses with real investors involved. I had demonstrated both business and IT skills in real-world situations. I'm not a people person, but I'm not bad at interviewing and I am confident when I speak.

Then I talked to two of my friends, and they told me the same thing. 'There's a reason everybody uses Times New Roman font... recruiters don't look at it for more than 20 seconds'.

Now I didn't get an internship for the summer, and at least half the reason is because of my resumé. I learned my lesson now.
Lucid Software is hiring. We make https://www.lucidchart.com and https://www.lucidpress.com. All of our backend services are in Scala. Frontend is TypeScript, Angular, and WebGL.

Feel free to shoot me a DM as well.
If you don't have a background in graphic design, I'd recommend a tool like Lucidpress or Canva. InDesign can have a steep learning curve, and if all you need is to make a few documents a year, it might not be worth it. Lucidpress has report and newsletter templates you can customize online for free, and you can download or share them however you want. So my advice is to look at the templates and see if there's something you like: https://www.lucidpress.com/pages/templates. Best of luck :)
Given this is a do it yourself firm, no wonder. This is just fluff to get to point nine.
Tried to get to the citation, and wouldn't you know it isn't easy.
Interesting. No -- boring.
Here is the Lucid Pres TOS -- if it looks like an incredibly complex contract, that's because it is. It's the only place to find their address -- but not a phone number.
Working with these persons means you will abide by these terms. Like a contract. Seems they doth protest overmuch.
Ludicpress has a free account, but you can use also GM Binder or Homebrewery if you have small pdf to create.
I did some general Googling to get a feel for what the response rate on sending mail flyers is, and it doesn't seem to be very high.
This article cited a 4.4% response rate. Others were about the same.
On the flip side, let's say that you line up 100 cars to do, and let's assume it's 50 locations since everyone could have two vehicles to detail. Can you even do that much in a reasonable amount of time? And that's to just not lose anything. You wouldn't see a profit at that point, so that's the bare minimum.
ic... but doing a spread like this might crop some of your letters and drawings, which might not be a big issue because of the text size.
You can try this out, it says to be a free alternative to Microsoft Publisher

:)
Awesome questions! I chose the ones that I could actually track and find real data on. It was way too much to do myself, so I had my team help me put together the results.
I noticed a lot of really interesting things like how Pepper Potts is actually the one to land the final killing blow on the main villains from Iron Man 1 and Iron Man 3. In Iron Man 2, Tony Stark doesn't even do it by himself; it's with War Machine. Tony Stark definitely has the most swears and drinking scenes. Captain America drives only Harley-Davidsons. Nick Fury has almost appeared in the most movies, but has the third lowest amount of time on screen.
