I remember seeing some mega downloader that didn't have limits. I'll put a link of I'm able to find it.

(1) I think you know it, but with a premium account you can bypass the limit.

not sure about the html5 error (although if you use chrome there may be a workaround here) but if it's just the download quota limit, I use a program called MegaBasterd - it's free! - that removes the mega limits.
JD2 unfortunate has a limit of 5GB for single files size, you can't download anything that pass this size, if you try you get stuck with the "509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" message, is a know problem for years already https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=74695&highlight=mega+limit.
But you can use Megabasterd instead https://github.com/tonikelope/megabasterd, it don't have the prettiest UI, but it works.
And as bonus, on JD2 and on Megabasterd you can bypass the bandwidth limit changing the IP connection with proxy list, but the problem is to get reliable proxy lists to use.

3 most recent version are having trouble it is only downloading like 40% to 50% of the time. https://github.com/tonikelope/megabasterd/issues/337 I like the program the updates are not often enough.
Its working properly and is downloading properly too. I made you a small video opening it and showing current version and downloading a movie. Is this where you got the software from Megabasterd btw i use the jar version.
I don't have any proxy/VPN set up. I ran a piece of java software 'Megabasterd' the night of the first instance this happened. This has a list of proxy servers to bypass MEGA upload limits (https://github.com/tonikelope/megabasterd/tree/proxy_list)
So I thought that might be the issue and have not used the software since but was hit with another banned message recently.
Download Megabasterd to circumvent the download rate limit, and use a VPN to change your IP. Some people don't have an issue downloading complete files, but mine will start to be throttled after a certain amount is downloaded.
If it slows, pause your download in Megabasterd and close the program. Change your VPN location/IP and restart Megabasterd and resume download. I had to do that about 3 times. But it was fast. Download the .jav and open with Java.

The only thing I can suggest now is uninstalling it and reinstalling it, if not maybe compile it yourself.

This looks awesome, an ingame community Library.
For the Mega limit thing, you guys can try the "MegaBasterd" from github. It seems to bypass the whole limit thing and downloads anything I put into it. Sometimes it get's slow or freezes, normal bugs, so relaunching it seems to work.

Also for the Gdrive Links you need to visit blackpearl.biz which focuses primarily on Gdrive Links and came up after r/piracy has become useless.

Try out Megabastard. It allows you to download without having to deal with the limit. I have heard of some people having problems with it but so far I haven't run into any issues. https://github.com/tonikelope/megabasterd
I think you should install Java on your mac, then download .jar file and run it. But I'm not sure about it, you can ask the developer of Megabasterds on githaub (You need to create an account on github):
