Australia doing well (Strong SF performance?), and then Belgium/France/Ukraine/Bulgaria seem to be in a single block. I think Belgium and Ukraine both benefited from their live performances as well (Gogo Belgium!)
Notably Russia's fairly far down, as well as Spain. Something tells me a lot of people aren't going to be too happy on Saturday.
Oh, and I think this link should work if you want results but don't want to give away your email?
There is a website called mentimeter where you can post some questions and students and answer them or just respond them using their phones or laptops. You can use it as a way to get some interactions or make the session more lively.
For mentimeter, you can flash the live update (statistics) of the answers your audience is responding. Pretty interesting if used correctly.
I recently did a short presentation on planetary motion and used it to ask the audience what they think will happen if I were to change some conditions, most of them responded with the wrong answers and they became more interested in finding out the content I will present later on.
More like this was from very start, perhaps first 100 votes? Hard to say, picture in tweet cuts of amount of votes cast.
When I've seen the poll, Beto was already at 70% support, with him alone having over a 100 votes. Voting ain't closed either, so results aren't final.
LULAC has an online poll going on - we need you to vote, please. Text Votar to 52886. LULAC will respond with a link to vote for Beto in their poll.
En un par de eventos y charlas del laburo usamos Mentimeter
Es como lo que decís pero aplicado en tiempo real. Esta bueno para mantener al auditorio involucrado en la presentación del tema.
Sorry for the very late update (didn't think there'd be 320 votes overnight), but I was sleeping.
First update after 320 votes (I'm only gonna put the top 10 here):

You have to kill the framing (see my above reply to another comment about it) technique that is being done otherwise, they win no matter what.
To kill framing you, have to say, "That's not what we are talking about" or "That question isn't adequate enough since it only considers a single position." Just throw it away and never give it any acknowledgement. Don't play the game.
It is also incredibly helpful to be prepared for framing, what they are likely to frame, and have your own question that places all parties on equal ground fro a dialogue
Example for this question: "What truth claims does the church NEED to be true in order for a person to commit their time / finances / health to?" Everyone can agree on what NEEDS to be true: BoM - How it came about / translated / historical accuracy etc; claims about priesthood authority - How they came about / historical accuracy; and JS's claim to the 1st Vision - How we got that "vision". It could then be discussed that this doesn't mean that everything that follows from that point on is true, even if those three are TRUE. Etc.
Link on Framing, how it leads to fallacies and how to deal with it.

Third update after 66 (damn haha) votes: http://imgur.com/70yOoZT
Didn't think Sweden would be that popular, also almost 100 points between the fourth (Latvia) and the third place
You can follow the "live" votes here: https://www.mentimeter.com/share/5e6462d6152c/a7678ec133c0
(Also, I'm trying to update for every 20 votes, don't know if this is too slow or too fast?)
I have shuffle only the top 10 of this list so we can vote here https://www.menti.com/wmp2ug69g8

Your question reminded me of word clouds.... the first Google result showed https://www.mentimeter.com/features/export-data I was thinking that if a site / service / software had the ability to create a word cloud those stats could be exported and then compared to your lists.
I think you did a lovely thing for your family and it sounded like the gods conspired against you and a few things held back The Show. Dust yourself off and do it again next year - even if we’re in person! Maybe try it out next time with your sister or a friend and practice reading beforehand. Learn from it and put on a sick show next year. I’m a PA and I’m constantly learning from my “mistakes” - makes it more fun to think of new/different/better ways of doing things. Also as support staff, no one knows how much effort goes into things (until they have to do it) so there is no appreciation. I take it on as I’m doing something really nice for my friends (at work) and I take a lot of pride in that. I’m a dude.
Side note: I used mentimeter this year and it was so much easier!
Thanks so much for your thorough response!
I do take your point, and I appreciate your perspective, especially with the TEAMS chat, I have shied away from largeish teams chats but it seems like a tool I should be using more. This is my own dislike of TEAMS I expect!
I'll think on your point about full two-way conversation, and also about your point about having the cameras on not helping students interact more. For me I would really credit the camera being on in allowing that to happen in my classes, I think students want to talk to each other more when they can see their similarities (which obviously poses different problems!) there's a lot of soft interaction going on in the chat with just mentioning cool things in the background behind students, but again, I can see this would also be intimidating to some people. I guess just like in-person teaching there's no one size fits all that works for all students!
When I said full-spectrum learning I meant the things you're alluding to, not just knowledge transfer but application to other subjects, synthesis of new information, connection to other ideas. Sounds like you're achieving that with the board topics, I have managed to use NearPod for some of this work like drawing on spectra and so on and submitting mechanisms and so on, so it all sounds great! You might actually find Menti useful for anonymous questions if you haven't already come across it. Then again you might not like having two platforms at once for conversation!
Thanks again for your perspective, I will have a good old think about it.
You can use mentimeter.com and word cloud feature.
You give them the mentimeter URL and it leads to a site where they can type in their answer. Then you can all review the answers together.
Just make sure they type in "Group 1: (Answer)" because I'm pretty sure the answers will be anonymous otherwise.
Google docs would also work. They can create a doc to be shared with their groupmates and also share it with you. Then you can just keep all of the team's docs open in tabs during your lecture.
Bello questo scambio. Potete andare a rivedere i risultati del sondaggio fatto al tirocinio giovedì:

I asked this on /r/webdev but i've seen some people do really cool stuff on this subreddit so wanted to ask the same question and see if the rasberry pi could be the better option for what i want to do. Essentially can i use the rasberry pi to make a LAN based interactive quiz?
I'm a stand up comedian who hosts interactive quizzes. A lot of the venues i perform in don't have wi-fi which essentially means i can't do the routine i want to do a lot of the time. I currently use https://www.mentimeter.com/ however considering that an internet connection is required i would prefer to make my own.
I basically want a server and router which people connect to, then from the landing page they can put a display name and them participate in a quiz controlled by me.
Essentially I need to make an offline version of the site i mentioned before. Is this possible?
Cheers
The people at the conference seemed very impressed by Beto, via end of conference the strawpoll.
First time posting here. Saw Slovenia doing well at this poll https://www.mentimeter.com/share/5e6462d6152c/a7678ec133c0 for Eurovision semi final 2 tonight. Them winning gives @11.0 and top 3 gives @2,25. Seems like a nice bet, thoughts?
