Kinda like that. I guess Jaikoz has been doing the similar thing for years. And recently the author of Meta happened to use Discogs database for tagging as well.
There is a revert script available for all the patches. I recently did it to change to a different patch and it all worked smoothly.
I'm sure you can get the artwork to show without the patch by just finding the right format. I also use Meta (MacOS) which offers a lot of tag/artwork editing.

This is the best music tagging software on the market, hands down. Beautiful UI, consistently updated, and just a pleasure to use.
this was a while ago, and i just thought i'd update for anyone looking for answers that finds this post !! i managed to learn a lot more about metadata, but i still preferred the metadata i got from my ripped deemix 320kbp and flac collection, so i was struggling with transferring the lyrics. i think foobar 2000 on windows has a copy-paste function for individual fields such as lyrics , but i was on mac so i struggled. luckily, i found an app called meta which let me copy-paste those certain fields :)) i'd say it's worth its price, but if you can't shell out then there are always other places where you can get it lol
I'm going to assume the mp3 files in question actually have coverart attached to the meta data? have you checked using something like Meta whether the coverart is actually added to the mp3 and not just your itunes library?
Meta has been around for years and has a much nicer UI, but is paid software.
Great to have an alternative out there now that doesn’t look like it was made in the 15 years ago.
I am currently using Meta (https://www.nightbirdsevolve.com/meta/) to edit my files metadata. I never used, but the app has a Create Directory feature that might help you and save you some time.
