Can you split it up into a couple different pdf files? Or better yet so each page is a separate pdf?
This site can supposedly convert pdf to jpgs. I'm sure there are others. Look are shareware.com and ZDnet.com for freeware that can do it as well.
most convenient one I've found is http://pdf2jpg.net/
it turns each page into it's own image, the images aren't overly huge and when it's done converting you get the option to dl all the images in a zip where they're pretty much all organized and ready to be put up on imgur
As said above, you can't display a PDF file online. Seems like you're working without the proper tools (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, or alternative programs) but there are some ways around that.
See if you can open that PDF file with Acrobat. Then you can export it out to a JPG or PNG, using File..Export to...Image..
Alternatively, you can use a site like http://pdf2jpg.net/ for a free conversion, which will also allow you to export at a larger size. If it ends up too large, you can resize it smaller using http://pixlr.com/editor/ . If it's too small, go back and re-convert from PDF to JPG at a higher resolution - resizing smaller is ok, stretching to a larger image is not (as you seem to know)
Without being able to see the actual file, it's hard to say whether JPG or PNG is going to be your best bet for the image, you might just have to try both and see. If it's clean line art with sharp edges and such, or it you need it to have a transparent background, PNG will be your best. If it has a lot of color variation/gradients (or looks more like a photo than a "clip art" vector image, JPG might afford you a smaller file size (though watch your compression ratio, or you'll end up with jaggy-looking artifacts.)
Hope this helps - if all else fails, post a link to the PDF file, and someone here will likely give you a hand. (or PM me directly, and I will.)
Hello,
I have figured out a way to make some duplex pdfs using the following way:
To NanDeck:
I have used the following script:
PAGE=21,29.7,PORTRAIT,HV,#FFFFFF,10-18 ;BORDER=RECTANGLE,#000000,0.5,MARKDOT FONT=Arial,64,,#0000FF DPI=300 CARDSIZE=6.3,8.8
[images]=DIRFILES("D:\SkyDrive\Dokumente\Tabletop\Guild Ball\Season3_Alle","jpg") [range]=1-{(images)} IMAGE=[range],[images],0,0,100%,100%,0,P
DUPLEX=1-{(images) / 2},{((images) / 2)+1}-{(images)} PRINT=DUPLEX
With NanDeck I created a pdf which I can print duplex.
Greetings
To post a resume quick and easy, I use black highlight tool to cover over any sensitive info, save as PDF (Word supports this natively), use http://pdf2jpg.net/ to convert to jpg, and post it to imgur.
It sounds complicated when it's written out but it's really not, and you can easily select all and un-highlight to reverse your coverups and keep editing the resume.
Alright, i can help you with editing the pdf. This is the way i do it:
1: convert the pdf to jpg (or equivalent image file format). There are a couple of ways to do that, but i use http://pdf2jpg.net/ to convert it.
2: Open the jpg in your favorite image editor. Once again there are many choices (photoshop, gimp). I use Paint.net to edit mine for i am just a very basic editor.
3: Convert your edited sheet back to pdf. For that i use the cousin of the site of step 1: http://www.convert-jpg-to-pdf.net/ .
4: enjoy you edited sheet in pdf format!
Unfortunately i do not use form fillable sheets so i have not looked into making/editing those. I am sorry.
If this is too hard for you, you might try http://pdf2jpg.net/
It's not ideal for longer documents and of course privacy is a concearn (with uploading the document), but since you are only asking for extracting maps, you should be fine.
I used it for some stuff of my RotR stump and We Be Goblins and and it works fine.
