Regarding the other things you said, it's just a matter of priorities, and I've chose mine.
There's also prismo, but it's not ready for production yet and their demo site prismo.news went down a while ago, and haven't been back.

There is an attempt at an ActivityPub-based decentralized reddit called Prismo that may give some hints on the design (not the code, it's Ruby).
The really nice thing about this would be make it compatible with the Fediverse where possible (i.e. submissions as fedi posts, comments as replies, etc.). However, I have no idea how votes can work while preventing other instances from manipulating them.
