I code mostly with music. I use Radio Tuna App.
Then I start progressive house, deep house, drum&bass, goa or something else repetetive and not distracting (no lyrics).
It helps me stay in flow and if I hear something that I don't like I just press CTRL + PLUS to play the next station without opening radio tuna.
It's something I have a great love for, but not much knowledge of. I got into 1st and 2nd wave by listening to some ska stations on radiotuna, which is a website everyone should know about.
But 1st wave I'd say The Skatalites, Prince Buster, Desmond Dekker, and Derrick Morgan. For two-tone/2nd wave, I'd recommend The Specials and Madness.
Never seen these before, sound good! I 've just used YouTube, Spotify, Last.fm and Pandora to stream and I sometimes find new bands I've never heard of -- you'd be surprised what you can find sometimes!
I know Radio Tuna can search for stations by genre -- might have some of what you're looking for...
