(Black Sabbath aren't stoner rock, folks. It's a genre that came to be in the 90s. Many genres of music take inspiration from the past, that doesn't mean old bands count towards them retroactively.)
Well .. same as anything else I suppose, Grooveshark (better sound quality), Youtube, torrents or buy the CD.
I recommend checking out their Pilgrimage album first (it's their best imo, and a good introduction to what they're all about) then checking out the others. Here's their discography, track listings etc.
Sorry I might've come off as a little self rightous by mistake. I download sometimes still, although like I said Spotify has replaced a lot of my downloading. Normally I just download rars of certain albums if I want them. I don't have any particular sight just search, artist-album then put rar after it in google. Then put the file in http://b1.org/online# to unzip it.
A good place to start might be here: http://stonerobixxx.blogspot.com/ He features bands that aren't signed as well as those on labels.
Contact email (and a bunch of other links to great music blogs) is here: http://www.blogger.com/profile/11390379214133685010
I hope to see/hear more of you guys. Good luck!
I play bass in a heavy band and these are the best I've found: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H2F87I8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_30MMHQXAKZ4NMVT6VGK5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They retain the fidelity so you can still hear detail while knocking down the volume by 20dB or so. Good for attending concerts too, the sound quality still sounds great and not muddy.
I first heard this many years ago from a mislabeled track off Limewire. Now I think I know why after all this time. However this QOTSA LP came into existence, it has 2 songs that I don't think QOTSA have ever performed. I guess that would explain it being labeled as their song.
Also, apparently Scott Reeder (Kyuss) is with them now. That's pretty cool.
I thought I had put this in the title, but I guess not. Anyways, this is the first demo from my doom/stoner/psychedelic band Sandwizard. It was recommended I post this here.
If anyone's interested, you can download the song from our ReverbNation and/or check out our Facebook
Brand new video from Finnish band Sammal, off their 2015 album Myrskyvaroitus out on Svart Records.
They're a bit like Dungen in their approach, one of my recent favourites, when it comes to lighter side of rock music.
if anyone likes this band, there are a bunch of songs on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/valleyofthesun
and a free album for download here: http://valleyofthesun.bandcamp.com/album/two-thousand-ten
I'm not sure I follow your second paragraph. I might not know every sub-genre, but I know enough, and I'm certainly not offended.
Ok, let me be even more specific. This is the stupid shit I'm talking about, not the clearly defined difference between 90's electronic music and big band from the 40's. Like, is there really 4 or 5 subgenres of power metal? No, I'm sorry, if you can't fit more than 10 bands in a "sub-genre" then it's not a sub-genre, it's 6 bands who sound alike.
Do we really more than this list?
Never seen these before, sound good! I 've just used YouTube, Spotify, Last.fm and Pandora to stream and I sometimes find new bands I've never heard of -- you'd be surprised what you can find sometimes!
I know Radio Tuna can search for stations by genre -- might have some of what you're looking for...
It is called Confinement Loaf, and this Saturday they will have a live set by a band called The Hooves. It starts at 9pm PST and should be awesome. The KUOI main page should still have the Red Fang interview up that Ted and Andrea did recently. Have a read now and a listen Saturday night.

Depending on how you use GPM, you might find this tool useful https://freeyourmusic.com/en

I rely a lot on my thumbs up tracks and playlists a lot, and I used that to transfer those to spotify. It was really bugging when transferring from GPM, so I actually made use of Google's automatic transfer to YTM, and then used that tool to transfer from YTM to Spotify. It wasn't perfect, but it mostly worked.

Still trying to figure out what I want to do about my uploaded live/bandcamp music though.
If you like Cream (or maybe even "classic rock" in a general sense), then Sunrise on the Sufferbus is possibly one of the best albums you've never heard. Though I would personally still call it "stoner rock" (particularly given who Chris Goss is in relation to the genre), I think much of it would likely receive a tepid response (or claims of "this isn't stoner rock!") in this sub.
EDIT: And glad you enjoyed it. Sorry about those perceptions...
I've never heard that. I read a biography on the band, but don't remember seeing that. Not saying it didn't happen, though. I know Ozzy was fired from the band, despite being the founding member, because his drinking and drug use was just out of control. Couldn't remember lyrics to songs during recording and whatnot. This sums it up pretty good.
From the site itself:
In October 2014, RED and its account, artist and label partners raised nearly $30,000 for Gilda's Club NYC by creating pink vinyl for 10 different releases. Ten new artists have come forward in 2015 to continue this effort and raise awareness for Breast Cancer and Gilda's Club NYC this October.
