I've read and heard so much good and bad about Prince, I have no idea what to believe. Back when ?uestlove used to post on the OKPlayer forums (he might still, I have no idea) he was full of awesome Prince stories. Prince's guest hosting appearance on the new Muppet Show is one of the all-time funniest things I've ever seen and it's just him making fun of himself the entire time.
EDIT: Intro: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0Os4Qs2GAq4
EDIT: Rest of show: https://myspace.com/mike.couey/video/muppets-tonight-featuring-prince-/22721159
Sorry for the MySpace link. It's the best I could find. The entire show is still hilarious. IIRC, this was during the few years where Prince had completely isolated himself from the entertainment world. Like, he just disappeared for a while and no one could reach him. Apparently, he loved the Muppet show and asked them if he could be a guest star.
Could the band have been named Penny Reel Junction?
Edit: Well fuck me, I found your song, OP.

Song #4: "Never Know"
Here's a video of Prince on the Muppet Show hosted on MySpace. That's literally the only thing of value left on there....
https://myspace.com/mike.couey/video/muppets-tonight-featuring-prince-/22721159
This is from an album Dennehy, told through the POV of a fictional character Kenny. Dennehy is a man's man, Irish-American actor. The narrator embraces him because of his own South Side Irish roots. Kenny also likes tom berenger, also a man's man tough guy actor. The song is pretty much '80s and into the mid-'90s standard fare life on Chicago's South Side, where Irish and African Americans traditionally dominated; the song highlights some of their cultural crossovers and also standard stuff for a south side guy, like vacationing in Wisconsin to go fishing.
Lotta sports references throughout, starting out with the chorus with the obvious omission of the Cubs until the last verse.
'85 Walter Roos = Walter Payton wore 'Roos footwear. (They gave him a lambo when he broke jim brown's record.)
Stacey Adams: Dress shoe and clothes company. Think Morris Day and the Time.
Shawon Dunston: Strong-armed Cubs SS, know for over-throwing Leon Durham at 1B.
After Jordan and Dave Corzine retired, a late '90s Bulls reference, even though Corzine (white center who went to DePaul) was long gone before MJ.
Guy plays 16-inch softball somewhere on Western, longest street in chicago which spans the width of the city.
Lotta '85 Bears references: Richard Dent's verse in Shuffle, Walter Payton, Ditka driving down the Edens (highway through the North Suburbs).
WCKG: 105.9 FM, Longtime classic rock station.
Venture, Zayre: Or called Ventures, Zayres plural, like calling Jewel "the jewels," both discount department stores.
Portillo's: a big hot dog and beef chain.
Tom Skilling, longtime WGN weather guru.
Butkus, HOF Bears linebacker
The Shuffle, Super Bowl Shuffle, '85 Bears theme song.
Also, likes Dennis Farina, late smooth Italian tough-guy actor who was once a Chicago Cop.
For better Chicago references, I like Serengeti's 'Ozzie Guillen' from same album.
those red dots are not caused of radiation. those are methbugs, check google for more
I even found his myscpace page, just to proof that this shit is not caused of radiation https://myspace.com/thumper235
Some might be familar with them from a video that was around years ago, from a Pokemon AMV, with their song 'Bitches'. Sadly, it's not youtube, so I'm going to link the myspace version. Well worth watching.

e: Note, I found the original mpeg, which is about 20 meg, from August, 2004. NSFW for language.
Check out his songs on Myspace. Somehow it makes sense that this music was created by the same person who decided to craft 1600 Summer Adventure badges.
edit: I kinda liked "Dial-117" though. Also, the title and Engrish vocals in "You are fucking negative, you are sucking negative" got a good laugh out of me
Hey, Mac's brother Hank here. Been listening to his stuff since he was in high school, and I gotta say that it's just getting better and better. Wasn't really a fan at first, but when I got to see him live in Calgary last year he changed my mind. Also wanted to say that he is, has been, and always will be that weird person you see on stage, but all the time.
This is his joke band from high school called The Sound Of Love. Way different from his current sound, but the songs are catchy in their own gross and hilarious ways.

Proof that Eminem is a terrible human being please?
Playing a character on an album for the purposes of satire or shock doesn't make you a terrible human being. I hope you never hear any Necro (or for that matter any number of death/black/blood/hummus metal bands out there), your brain might implode.
One of her MySpace Videos from 2009. It was never uploaded to her YouTube channel for some reason.

I'm from Evanston, Illinois, the first northern suburb of Chicago. I'd say hip hop culture for high school aged kids is pretty dominant. We have a few great artists from here, the one every young Evanstonian knows is ProbCause he made The Evanston Song. Another is B-Lones Hometown, flipped that Adelle hometown sample like Krit did. My favorite tho out of E-town is Illanotix, check out this track Life its really great.
Check out /u/humblebuzz... Yeah, Flume didn't just appear overnight, he was posting to /r/WeAreTheMusicMakers for a few years before he really broke though to the scene.
In this sense, he's no different to any other act out there just waiting for a break, for the right people to hear a tune and give it some air time.
Flip it the other way and think that people posting to /r/WeAreTheMusicMakers could just as easily become the next Flume over the next 2-4 years.
Even see this post that went completely ignored. No upvotes, no comments. A link to his myspace, which still has tunes on it from back then. https://myspace.com/flume123, bonus karma for you if you repost those tunes to /r/under10k :)
London Grammar's female vocalist, Hannah Reid, has a beautiful voice. * Metal & Dust * Strong
Also:Melissa Kaplan
There are two songs. The first is "The Snake" by Parov Stelar (as linked by /u/quinntuition), the second is "The Green Sheik of Araby" by Greens Keepers. Sorry for the myspace link, I couldn't find it on youtube
Related, here's a quote from the post by Jennifer Lawrence's best friend from when she went to the Oscars - https://myspace.com/discover/trending/2014/03/04/feature-i-went-to-the-oscars-with-my-best-friend-and-then-i-went-viral
"Brad Pitt smells amazing, like nothing I've ever smelled. Eventually we ask what cologne he's wearing and he tells us, "I don't wear cologne, it's just my musk I guess." I have to choose not to believe him because it would just be unfair to mankind."
It seems that Brad Pitt has found his holy grail fragrance and isn't sharing.

Like I said, the joke was that it was out of place for an Asian to be a redneck. It was a comedy act. This is the only promo that I could find, but IIRC they did others with similar jokes.
The View From Sibir by The Arctic Jews, all I have is a Myspace link because it looks like their videos are all off Youtube.
But I promise you it is this, this is the single worst song ever recorded. It's worth the obnoxiousness of Myspace's layout.
I would say start with bands that people tend to consider to have metalcore influences but still be metal. Try The Black Dahlia Murder, Abigail Williams, and maybe Amon Amarth. If you can find them, my buddy's old band Badon Hill is the shit too. Actually here they are: https://myspace.com/badonhill1
So this is probably him. https://myspace.com/jattspace/photos Did some googling of the name. Also found this Twitter account that is never used https://twitter.com/jattmixalot. Seems he is a Punjabi DJ of some sort. This may be him as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBvcn-6_cIE
Here are three examples:
Heavy Metal Mountain (2008)
This is from when I was 18 and I played and recorded all the instruments myself and did "metalocalypse" style songs for fun. The drums (especially the double bass) is sloppy the vocals are purely for laughs since the only lyric is "climb", but the leads in the song I thought were pretty decent for my playing at the time.
A more recent example is my laid back simple shitty/fun garage rock songs (no vocals on this one yet) but it has a pretty decent lead I threw in there. At the 1:08 mark
and another recent one that is just raunchy with no direction At the 1:36 mark
I made a remix for Nude when the contest was out. It was super cool of them. I wish more bands would do stuff like that.
My first time ever trying something like that. It picks up a lot at about 1:45.
Link if anyone is interested at all...

A More recent picture of me. I'm only 15, so there's more blunder to come.
Also, Here is the my old Myspace, there's so much BLUNDER EVERYWHERE.
Myself and 5 housemates were looking for 6 bed properties in and around Cathays a few years back and unfortunately stumbled across DJ.
His car (a 1999 Subaru Legacy Estate if I remember correctly) didn't have enough seats for us, so he drove between the various properties and gave us the addresses and told us to meet him there. Then he drove off cigarette in hand, blaring his new CD. We saw 3 houses all covered in mold, filled with unhappy tenants warning us about him, and we were walking about a mile between each property, in the rain.
I can truly say that he was a one of a kind landlord.
(For his latest music releases, head to his MySpace page)
I pretty much only know the names of Punk Rock songs or Folk songs, so I can't really help you out there. So I'll have to mix it up a bit.
I'm sitting alone drinking, when I hear a voice behind me that I've not heard in a long time, or ever actually. "This is payback for all the capycaras you said were ugly". I spin and draw my pistol, but I'm too slow. /r/reallynicole stands in front of me, unloads five shots, then pausing, and shooting the sixth. Later on she was seen going to a comedy movie and bathing in the ocean with a cute girl, but that's a whole different thing.
No need to be sorry this shit is hilarious. We were sorta borrowing a style from the sax players brothers band who were actually pretty good, here is a link to probably their most popular song - https://myspace.com/cutawayska/music/song/the-coke-song-52524657-56717177
I was in a band once, it was originally called Coinslot Muse (which I loved) but then the guitar player (it's alllllways the guitar player) thought it wasn't rocking enough so he changed it to Zen and the Art (yeah, so old it has a myspace). I was not pleased.
Found it cuz at 2:28ish the guy says "Hollywood Louie, Rap n Roll to the death of me". Googling "Hollywood louie light up" led me to this tweet and then to the linked myspace above.

This is off of Isakov's first album, 'Rust Colored Stones' from 2003. Does anyone know what the deal is with this album? Luckily I torrented it 3 years ago, but it's extremely hard to find. It's blacked out on Spotify, unavailable on Amazon, and not listed on his website as one of his albums.
However, it's still up on MySpace (for now) - I highly recommend giving it a listen:
https://myspace.com/gregoryalanisakov/music/album/rust-colored-stones-17073933
I once produced this piece of fine art for a friend's crappy grindcore project.
It took a bit of digging around on the internet to find that stupid thing again. I didn't even know he had made a MySpace for it. That should also give you a hint about how long ago this was.
Interesting thing is, the lady posted the video to the internet herself, some day that kid is going to see it, gonna have justified mommy issues. And it's not like mom is a model citizen anyway. Also this.
To the lead officer... kudos to you sir. Well handled.
Here's a quick one of jerry douglas who is hands down the best dobro player around...
Well in that case, there was a compilation put out back in 2006 by Kemando Records called "Invaders" that highlighted a bunch of unknown bands that have since gone on to have great success. There is a track on there, "By the Mark", from a band called Danava that I fell in love with. Its pretty spacey, progy, heavier psych but wicked nevertheless.
This Myspace link is the best I could find.
If you like it, include it. If not, no hard feelings. Cool idea, btw.
His real name is Phillip Katsabanis. Lol, his dad is a police officer in Miami. Here's a picture of him from his old MySpace:
https://myspace.com/442269601/photos
Hella hard, hella.
I found all this by searching the comments on his interviews. The MySpace picture looks very similar, just younger without the tattoos. Haha, he even trademarked the name "Stitches" with his real name.
If you are into Folk and punk, let me help you out if you haven't heard of these guys already.
Commonfilth! (Anarcho-Folk-Punk) https://myspace.com/commonfilth/music/songs
Started by a mate of mine in Sydney at the age of like 15 (this was made like 5-6 years ago), he is amazingly musically but would never want to have any commercial success, he later would tour Aus with Pat The Bunny (aka Johnny Hobo from the USA).
Not Angry & The Disappointments (Same as before with Reggae influence) https://myspace.com/gryandthedisappointments/music/songs
Same guy as above but what he created post the above band, very good stuff. Remember all this is recorded on like a laptop and a shoestring budget.
Phat Meegz (Same guy as above but very much Punk-Reggae). http://phatmeegz.com/album/m-s-g-to-rudy
This would be his current and longest lasting project after moving to Tasmania, and living with the guys from 'Asking For It'.
Outside of Australia, can I recommend: Johnny Hobo & The Freight Trains, Pat The Bunny, The Wingnut Dishwashers Union & Ramshackle Glory.
Totally real. Band was called "Insulated in Pink," took me a minute, but I found the rest of the album. You'll need to scroll a bit, but they're fantastic.
I think i know this guy, http://imgur.com/a/OYphg
I worked with him at the Philadelphia Navy yard around 2009, Joe something.. Can't remember his last name, just that he was in a band (where i found the pictures) and that he was known for those kind of outfits.
His band, with more pictures: https://myspace.com/toomuchtoofasttoosoon/photos
Found 4 of their demos, including 13 Steps!
EDIT: Looks like the group was Dan and his friend Ralph Pelleymounter of To Kill a King, came together to work on an album but it apparently never completely panned out.
Jeff Beacher from Beacher's Madhouse:
>Beacher taught Mini Brit and the rest of his performers a lesson in classic If you want something done right, do it yourself- fashion by dressing himself up and becoming Big Britney, a 350 pound, half-naked, singing and dancing version of the miniature impersonator who left audiences surprised, shocked, and sickened. He then completely overshadowed her success when Big Britney collapsed at a performance and was transported to the hospital. Footage from this incident found its way onto the internet, garnering over a million views on the Madhouse's Myspace channel.
Oh you haven't seen that episode of Intervention?? You, sir, are in for a treat of the non-dairy whipped topping variety!
Bask in the glory (sorry for the myspace link. I now feel dirty)
Tell me about it. I'm from the same "Beach Community", they're from. Same high school n shit. Very uppity, sterile neighborhood. If you like more hardcore shit, check out the singer and bassist's old band.
Matt Wixson! A Michigan local sweetheart. He used to be prolific as hell, so if you like this you have a lot to go through. This song, Double Agent, is about the racist/homophobic shit people would tell him at work.
Couldn't find the song on youtube, but Vampire Mooose - Spiderman vs Venom
https://myspace.com/vampiremooose/music/song/spiderman-vs-venom-30730585-26908941
You also have Ozzy's Hellraiser, but I prefer it with Lemmy over Ozzy :P.
My wife liked her back when she was doing Dance/Pop songs in the late 90's/ early 00's. She didn't recognize her at first when I showed her this video.
I love these kinds of throwback songs, especially when they put the amount of detail in the presentation like this one. But I can see they're kind of a hard sell to a broad audience. There was this guy Ricky Fante that came out with an album about a decade ago that was pure early Stax Records soul (Sam Cooke, Al Green, Otis Redding, etc.). Album came out pretty strong at first then his popularity faded away just as quick it seemed. Too bad since I would have loved to see a revival of that type of music.
I have a lot of unique tastes in music particularly in Electronica. Here are some interesting bands I usually recommend to introduce people to under appreciated genres and styles that I favor.
Infected Mushroom - If they've heard the new stuff I recommend Converting Vegetarians. If they haven't heard of them at all then I recommend I'm The Supervisor or Army of Mushrooms.
Hot Chip - Easily one of the most innovate bands in electronic music.
Assemblage 23 / VNV Nation - Good synthpop introduction.
Front 242. Front By Front - Excellent introduction to Electronic Body Music.
And One - Good bridge between EBM and Synthpop.
Ladytron - Velociferc - Electroclash introduction
Ms. Kitten and the Hacker - Very minimal Electroclash/Synthtron
Juno Reactor - Labyrinth - Great introduction to Goa/Jungle
Imogen Heap - Very innovative music style.
Anamanaguchi - Chip tunes. 8 bit style.
Yip Yip - Hot Plop (https://myspace.com/yipyip) A very strange band from Orlando (Don't know if they are still around)
Moody Good - Melodic Dub meets Aphex Twin (https://soundcloud.com/moodygood/sets/moody-good-lp) Seriously some next level shit. I can't stop listening to it.
Madeon - Next level Electro/Nu-Disco (IMHO)
Wow these are some weight bearing words. I'm so flattered that you feel that way. Thanks for listening and watching my video.
I agree;there's no room in media for prudes. While I agree with you that entertainers have to be walking sex sticks to get attention, I feel like people see undeniable talent when it exists. Look at Adele! She bears no tits and ass yet she is making bank doing what she loves and what she is naturally good at. I'm not opposed to sexuality and self expression, as long as you're not selling yourself short. I just enjoy dressing the way I do a little bit more.
Also, Slipknot! Lol dude I'm not too far off, believe it or not. I was in a metal band when I was an angsty teen. Prepare your anus. https://myspace.com/eurekasoppression
Maybe of interest for anyone who likes this, is that Kevin Ayers' daughter Galen Ayers has released an album as one half of a musical duo called Siskin. The other member is Kirsty Doody (neé Newton), and they're both excellent singers/musicians.
They're not anything like Soft Machine, but you can hear some of her father's influence in Galen's music.
I've been fortunate enough to see them play live and meet them on several occasions and would recommend you look into them. They've been on hiatus for a while and I've lost touch for the most part, but the one album they've released was excellent.
A couple of my favourite songs: Fireworks
> It's been a while since 9/11, surely we know exactly what happened by now?
Pretty much; it's impossible to reconstruct every single detail of this unexpected, tragic invent involving many tens of thousands of people.
9/11 Truthers like to refer to unanswered questions and apparent inconsistencies in an attempt to bolster their claims of a secret conspiracy. Of course, those things don't bolster shit: "We don't know" does not mean "I am right."
It's just one of many logical fallacies that the Truthers engage in. If you look further, you'll find many excellent debunking articles and videos. I particularly recommend the Popular Mechanics special report and Screw Loose Change, a minute-by-minute debunking of the Truther 'documentary' Loose Change, which is contained within the video (it's a long one, over 3 hours).
Mine might qualify as "pics AND video or it didn't happen" worthy.
EDIT TL;DR Chester of Linkin Park sang with me, and they dedicated a song to my friends and I.
In 2007 my friends and I went on a road trip for the Projekt Revolution Tour. We were supposed to go to 7 dates, starting in Texas and ending in Florida, but we had to cancel the Texas dates so only ended up doing 4 dates. (A ton of driving for anyone considering it)
Anyhow, Chester came into the crowd during One Step Closer, and I got to sing it with him during the breakdown at the end. You can hear it in the audio track from 8/8/07 in Charlotte NC, which is god awful I must say, I must've ruined the live bootlegs recording for so many people.
Pic provided, it is my selfie of all selfies.
Then to top it all off, in Tampa Chester and Mike started talking to me since we were in their faces every night on the barricade of the pit. You can also hear this in the audio track, although you can't hear my responses. Anyhow, they ended up dedicating the track to "Nathan and his Friends" and my two other friends who were on the other side of the barricade recorded this video of the interaction. I ended up re-dubbing it with the audio bootleg because the video's audio was as you can imagine, awful.
Sorry for the terrible myspace link, I'm surprised it is still hosted TBH.
Made my entire trip and even year. It is an experience I cherish and always makes me smile when I remember it. I am so fortunate for my crazy fandom of Linkin Park, wonderful supportive friends, and the band taking notice of us enough so that these things occurred.
Please watch this clip of the gas leak episode if you were fan you probably remember if not then you will love it watch it till the end also you get to see a young busta rhymes high out of his mind https://myspace.com/jslayes/video/space-ghost-coast-to-coast-episode-flipmode/35873224

cool man. I'm an older dude as far as the scene goes (just turned 31) but have been playing drums over half my life. Grew up out in Vegas and played in many bands. I also record music. Let me know if you guys want to record a again. I'll do it cheap and it will sound good. I'm not looking for something permanent, just something to jam around on. I have a full time job and have done the band thing long enough to move past it, but I miss it a bunch.
I recorded and played drums on the first 6 songs from the following link https://myspace.com/iamthethief/music/songs
I also was the vocalist and recorded the following album https://myspace.com/colossalraptor/music/songs
Love this album. My favourite Outkast album seems to change every year or so (Aquemini at the moment), but this is definitely in the top 3 for me. Organized Noize's production is absolutely incredible, and Big Boi/'Dre are far better than they should be, considering this is their first album. Player's Ball and Claimin' True are personal highlights, although I think my favourite track might be Funky Ride (which feels a bit sacreligious seeing as neither Big Boi, nor Andre feature).
There's a pretty decent piece on MySpace (of all places) detailing the making of the album. I saw a different one featuring interviews with Dre and Big Boi a while ago, but unfortunately I can't find the link. This one is still cool though;
Hi swearinhagen,
Have you tried looking up the producer? His name is Taku Takahashi. Here is his - believe it or not - myspace page. The song you speak of has elements of bass music (that intro), dubstep (the wubs) and drum & bass (throughout).
No. I'd feel shitty as a person and as a critic if I did that. Unfortunately, I read some of that review/gave it a click. I hate stunt reviews like that.
I wrote, in an apologist way, about Coldplay a bit here.
Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately I don't see any news about upcoming concerts on their Facebook page or their Myspace.. but hopefully with the release of this new EP we'll hear about something soon!
I found an album of her! https://myspace.com/iiimzangel818iii/photos
She has a tattoo on her boob that says Hung. I'm not sure if she always had or if she had it when she was in the industry though.

It looks this author had a bunch more chiptunes missed in the 8bc archive dump... Anyone with a myspace account want to see what they can do to get the rest here? Lower quality, but it's the only place I can find her tracks.
If we're doing kinda folky musique des Quebecois, I urge you to give a listen to De Temps Antan. You might not like it, and I get that, but I was introduced to them at a show of theirs and I just love to listen to them. Btw, these are my two favorite songs, but in no way represent the entirety of their discography.
More information about this can be found in the BBC documentray "Pedigree Dogs Exposed". Youtube has gotten it blocked, but here's another link: https://myspace.com/bordercollie19/video/documentary-bbc-pedigree-dogs-exposed/44215931
Hahahaha you guys are in for a treat. Only recently started taking production a little more seriously after years of creating 'joke tracks' (Because I was clueless but found production fun), loads still to learn but I can certainly see a progression from this.

Seriously check out Icon & Anchor. They're great dudes and some of the best metal in the area IMHO. The metal scene isn't what it used to be 4 years ago but some of the good bands are hanging around. Most shows are at Firebird, Pop's, and Fubar but I know a lot of bands have been playing at the Mad Magician.
My old band is slowly getting things going again but will be a while til we are playing any shows again. Here's our old myspace page for shits and grins LINK!
The band it's from has a myspace page here with some more tracks, but it actually seems to be from a few years ago and I don't see anything else of them around.
I've done this before with the same song. Have you heard of another similar instrumental by NIN Leaving Hope? Maybe this song by Skrillex that doesn't even sound like Skrillex from the Spring Breakers soundtrack, Ride Home.
As I Lay Dobby. I feel like their name is an insult to Dobby's memory but they play metalcore (combined with something i don't have a better name for than horrible, weird shit) at least.
Found a song called Avada Kedavra by some band called Erised on youtube that's actually quite alright. Not hardcore, more like melodic metal.
I have no idea what this song called Evil is Sexy by some band called Voldemort should be labeled as, but i like the speed.
I just spent a couple hours trying to track down this band (Ides of March) just to show a friend a sweet song I found on the internet a long time ago, and I wad wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience!
I'd be glad to offer my services if there is a good fit for your ceremony. Here is a sample of some of my instrumental acoustic stuff. 20 minutes is fine since I am also looking to build a bit more of a resume for similar events and will be getting married in a short time in the future. Keep in mind the sample is with a band but I perform solo as well. We can PM to talk about your budget. https://myspace.com/mybrokenbike/music/song/mandala-23543017-23344202
there was a musical parody made called Giant Killer Shark.. I saw it live and bought the cd. The link i posted here only has 4 of 12 or so songs.
It was a synopsis to music. I don't think i need to describe the scene in the movie they are referring to in Boozin and Bondin but the hook in the musical is "Let's get drunk and compare scars in a slightly homoerotic fashion. We're gonna be on this boat for a while"
edit i found this but am at work and won't test it here. http://juiceboxdotcom.com/events/gks/
Un peu comme Lion of Tsavo, j'adore, mais je dois toujours un peu faire abstraction du chant. Mais je te mets un gros plusvote dans tes fesses, sacripant!
I always loved this clip of Dane Cook talking about growing up Catholic. It's pretty spot on. The worst thing was that the day after I first watched it, I had to go to a funeral and my mom and I were sitting in the back giggling the whole time because this was all we could think of. Good thing it was a distant relative.
Oh cool, glad you like the song! It's a song I am very proud of and it took a few weeks to get right, which is rare because I tend to work very quickly and finish songs the day I start them.
An yes, the song is very MDMA influenced. I remember doing my first roll ever at an Of Montreal show, and the whole time I was thinking about this song I was working on. When i finally got home, I stayed up all night and started re-working the song. I had an early version that featured a bunch of samples of bird wings flapping and waves crashing, but then I came across this song and by sampling it, it really tied the whole track together.
I'd really like to see and read your writings and drawings. I write a bit sometimes too, and while I can't draw I love visual art. Do you have any links to share?

Fake. This has been around for so long, it baffles me just how goddamn gullible believers are. Almost as bad as the Angel and Something Blue rumors of way back.
OP: It's a piano version of Matthew Loiaconos - Twelve (For Smoke Detectors) [1] [2]

Downtown Devil article on The Trunk Space's 10th anniversary and their Indiegogo campaign.
If you went to either of the Welcome to Night Vale live shows, you saw the amazing Jason Webley. Prior to touring with Amanda Palmer and doing bigger venues, he'd hit Trunk Space annually. Same goes for folks like Kimya Dawson, Matt & Kim, and Andrew Jackson Jihad among others.
Glad someone beat me to the Black Sabbath train (all aboard, hahaha).
Intronaut turned me off by some of their vocals, but the newest record has some really fantastic music that strays away from what I bet scared you off at first.
No shit! That's a little sad, I like it a lot. Here's the remix the article referred to.
In other obscure dumb rap news, check out Gisli.
Neat stuff! I shared you guys to my facebook and added you to my faves on YouTube. I dig it! Feel free to check out my stuff on Myspace. My new album is there plus a lot of other tunes from previous projects. https://myspace.com/vinnykster/music/album/the-great-secret-19245760
I like this guy. He's got a beautiful wistful "sabi" sound. It's MySpace, so it will make you listen to an idiotic 3 minute commercial, but then you can play all the songs of his you like.
I found a couple of enjoyable instrumental prog groups while going on Pandora adventures at work.
Anabiosis - Good guitar work. The recording of "Singularity" here is older and not very good. If you like the style and want it presented better, create an Anabiosis station on Pandora and try to get some of their songs. Worth the effort.
The Fucking Champs - This band is silly. They are hilariously fun to listen to. Some of their work has been done with even less instruments than you might be used to. One of those bands you listen to when you need to feel awesome. Not in the Scale the Summit way, but in a lulzy-over-the-top way.
This is an extremely hard decision! But, I choose "Hive Minds" by Norma Jean. Dat buildup. Dat groove. Jamming this album in my car and on the train and while walking, studying, or doing anything really made the last third of my year. Plus, saw em for my birthday.
I think I found his myspace as well...
For a while it seemed like he was using the same handle to comment at wordpress. All posts there and from his myspace are from more than two years ago. :(
What got me thinking about this was a band called The Gruff that does sort of country/folk music, which I typically don't enjoy, but I really enjoyed both albums they made while they were around.
There's not many good quality places to stream their music, but here's a song that I found on their old myspace page, of all places. General Store is another good one that's on there.
Their second album is a free download these days and it's really good.
Then you deserve a little Dirty Damn Band for your troubles; a little lesbian band from Toledo that can commiserate with puking on a date.
"Daedalus" by Errollyn, it was written to be the theme for an excellent BBc miniseries called ["One Night"](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Night_(TV_series\))
I'm planning on building a studio soon so I can start recording again but for now I tend to use my phone...
I've done Untitled 01 and Sowing Season.
The only thing I've got on the internet that I've written myself is from when I was 14 lol.. So here you go: https://myspace.com/charlieboy22/music/songs
The song 'Charlie' had a little bit of brand new influence and was actually popular among friends in high school believe it or not, albeit it totally shitty. It's about my grandma's dog.
I promise I've gotten better and will use better equipment when I finally get recording again.
They were never release or fully made, im pretty sure they just made a cover and maybe released one song for promotion, pretty much what chief keef is still doing now. The songs released on DJ Kenn's old myspace here
Another day, which you can listen to here. It's the only place where I could find their music online.
My favorite color is pretty much any shade of blue.
My day yesterday was pretty good if a bit boring >.>
I have absolutely no idea what happened to this band, such a solid debut album (in a similar vein of sonic syndicate and soilwork) and after that they just disappeared into the ether. No announcement, no facebook page, nothing.
To listen to their debut album, here's their myspace.
Also, If anyone wants to have a good production laugh I used to produce. I just found this early today and are some of the earliest songs I created (trip down memory lane). I changed my name more than puffy...

If you like Jay Brannan, definitely check out Christopher Dallman and Eric Himan
The Past Few Days - Will Brierly and the Roller Holsters
Girl of All Names, Parts I & IV - Liam Dailey
Both are acoustic-y, super local indie music from around Providence, RI, in the mid-00s.

Touch was my favorite band. Shitty music vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJW-avn-Jto&list=UUMXQ2GGdh2E2ab_M0L7f4rw
I'm game! I used to be in to metal when I was a teen, then dance music strobe lights and lasers took over when I went to Uni.
Here's my friend's band Skag Bunny not sure how you'd define them but definitely *something*core.
I have always been slightly annoyed when people write off a whole genre of music. When a lot of people enjoy a genre there must be at least a few kickass tunes hidden in there, even if at first it seems like noise. (not having a dig at you, I include everyone in this statement)
