This is off of Isakov's first album, 'Rust Colored Stones' from 2003. Does anyone know what the deal is with this album? Luckily I torrented it 3 years ago, but it's extremely hard to find. It's blacked out on Spotify, unavailable on Amazon, and not listed on his website as one of his albums.
However, it's still up on MySpace (for now) - I highly recommend giving it a listen:

Don't know if it's what you're looking for, but I'm currently obsessed with Hop Along Queen Ansleis' first album, Freshman Year. They're a freak-folk outfit that now goes by Hop Along, and Francis Quinlan's vocals are the most amazingly raw, emotional, and mesmerizing I've heard in a while. She's killer. The full album can be found here.
The Lucky Jukebox Brigade is pretty awesome too. They remind me of a slightly darker Decemberists, if they were led by a woman. They can be found at Bandcamp.
Hope you enjoy! And if these don't suit your tastes, I hope you find what you're looking for.
Here is our soundcloud! The EP is from a while ago so you can expect more from the album production and sound wise (the behind the scenes video explains it better).
Enjoy!

Some really great stuff, I like The Path best. Timing could be a little steadier in places I think, but I really like the sound - definitely a Tallest Man On Earth vibe like you say. Your music deserves a decent mic though! Check out the Yeti Blue USB microphone, it's very decent and only about $100.
