I'd be keen for you to prove that rather than make a baseless claim to save face, as far as I can see the OS maps and OpenStreetMaps show footpaths only around that area.
People who injure themselves up the Garth often require an air ambulance to lift them off the mountain. It's also an area with livestock freely roaming, vehicles would stress the sheep out.
The Garth is a beautiful area for families to enjoy safely, the footpaths from Gwaelod to the top are amazing. I wouldn't expect a motorbike to be riding along, and neither should people when it's a footpath.
Taking your bike up there for a picture is pathetic and irresponsible. There are plenty of metalled roads and green lanes local to the Garth you could get a similar picture from safely.
Riders like you give the scene a bad name.
Myself and 5 housemates were looking for 6 bed properties in and around Cathays a few years back and unfortunately stumbled across DJ.
His car (a 1999 Subaru Legacy Estate if I remember correctly) didn't have enough seats for us, so he drove between the various properties and gave us the addresses and told us to meet him there. Then he drove off cigarette in hand, blaring his new CD. We saw 3 houses all covered in mold, filled with unhappy tenants warning us about him, and we were walking about a mile between each property, in the rain.
I can truly say that he was a one of a kind landlord.
(For his latest music releases, head to his MySpace page)
I don't have the space, else I'd offer. Meanwhile, try AirBnb - there are lots of rooms and flats available that weekend, and not crazy ass prices either.
I've got hundreds but here's one i set up nicely with simply the best views of Cardiff. Slight faff getting out of town from the last stop on the x1 bus. https://www.komoot.com/tour/182276777/zoom
Sure thing. We have am app for the Rosetta space mission: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.UKAstroNutProductions.Rosetta And one to explore the solar system: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Company.fg

The Emerald Tablet by local author and Harry Potter fan fiction writer Ian M Fisher. Its a high concept fantasy story that is set in a future Wales, lots of references to Cardiff.

Yeah I know, tenuous link but still.... Support your local authors!
I used to buy those cans but I found much better long term value in a motorised dust blower. Not exactly what you asked for but worth considering.
Specifically I bought this one some years ago: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01G1Z0RF0
OK, you need to open with 'It's a 10m cable' or all our suggestions of places to buy one are going to be useless.

Here is a link to openstreet maps with cycle routes (not all are paths but generally quieter roads).
https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=14/51.4919/-3.1427&layers=C
If that doesn't show the blue cycle paths change the layers option on the right of the screen to cyclemap.
I've tried most of the options and your best bet is to head north to Marshfield and then follow route 3 through st Mellon's. After that I like route 34 through splott.

You could put a request up on Facebook in any of the Cardiff groups - there are tons - or on Gumtree. You might find someone with an empty room willing to make a bit of cash for a few months let who aren't actively advertising, or find a student who's not going to be using their room over the summer (but they may have issues with subletting).
Gumtree is often used for property advertising if you haven't checked there as well, like this one is advertising weekly or monthly from May? https://www.gumtree.com/p/property-to-rent/self-contained-studio-all-bills-included-short-term-only-weekly-or-monthly-/1400555316
If you're using AirBnB you'll definitely have to split your dates really. You could try searching in 1-2 week blocks for availability, and if you have to switch out in between you might have to stay in a hotel for a few nights if it's got bookings in between. Definitely not ideal, especially as you're searching through the summer holidays so there are going to be sporadic weekend and week bookings all over the place with AirBnB, it's unlikely you'd find anything unbooked for months at a time. And Airbnb is stupid expensive for 3 months at a time anyway.
I highly recommend my piano teacher, Vikki, she's great. Link to her gumtree ad here:
I've been looking for a casual group that I can DM for (I'm still fairly new to it). Seems like there are a few of us here that we can get playing?
Would you guys wanna do it in person or use something like Roll20?
I didn't know that needle exchanges were taboo? I'm pro harm reduction and use to volunteer at Inroads.
Agree that the problem is more likely to be A at the moment. My understanding is that the hostels open up when the temperature hits a specific low, and until that time people prefer to stay out because they hate the hostels anyway (for obvious reasons) and want to be near the better places to beg.
It's a complex problem that isn't easily solved by throwing cash or accommodation at people. The BBC have a good documentary that covers this issue from various perspectives presented by Ellie Flynn, who is very sympathetic to those who are homeless https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p06r9xbq/fake-homeless-whos-begging-on-the-streets
> Shock, English colonialist who colonised the globe by force were going to give a shit about the adjacent nation they were forcing themselves upon
Wasn't a nation at the time. Wales was effectively formalised and unified by England.
> This is only evidence that Wales was taken under England's wing by force and that the lack of representation in the flag is a manifestation of the English attitude to Wales. "Shut up and be English".
Many of the Welsh were perfectly on board with being part of England at the time - many simply didn't care as life was rather different then.
> Aka, "Wales barely existed so grow up and move on".
Wales exists in it's current form thanks to the English. It's historical fact. This romantic idea that Wales was a nation under English or Roman or Saxon yoke is simply not true.
I'm dismissing you lot getting upset over a flag, and being so wrong.
There's some good information about how many of the Welsh were fully on board with unification here and here.
I would suggest reading those before posting again.
Use a Kyrptonite D-lock and you should be ok.
However, as others have said, don’t leave outside for long periods. It’s near impossible to steal the frame of a D-locked bike without using loud, powerful equipment. However, but other expensive parts such as brakes, chain set etc. can be easily removed with cheap tools.
Kids in some areas tend to vandalise bikes that have been locked in the same place for a while too.
Thanks, but no, I already have this
I need that specific map
