Fuck yes.
About three weeks ago I started running again for the first time in ages. It was because I wanted to improve my Cooper-test results.
The feeling you get when running is great. Especially outside. I find it really easy to "disconnect" and forget that I'm running. Almost like a trance. It's also a great way to forget things that are bothering you, such as cravings, like the OP says.
At first it might suck a little, at least it did for me, but after running 3-4 times I found it a lot easier. Yesterday I tried the Cooper-test by myself and I had no trouble finishing it.
I recommend anyone who is interested in running to track their runs with the Nike+ Running app, or any other app for that matter.
I used to use Nike Run Club but you could also give Runtastic a spin and see if you like it better.
Absolut bummer. When you go to this like via chrome you can select different devices to install but the Pixel Watch seems not to be supportes at the moment. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nike.plusgps
Sadly the "Nike Fuel Band" is not a thing anymore since they partnered with Apple with the Apple Watch. As r/Alexw301 said they did come out with some support around Android Wear. If you click that line you can get some more information around that.
He uses Nike: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nike.plusgps&hl=en
IMO, there are a lot of better running apps out there. I would recommend Strava or Runkeeper. They're all pretty similar, but some integrate and sync better with others. Nike tries to pin you down with their products.
Not sure if they integrated Google Fit but I'd say have a look:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nike.plusgps
Are there any recommended free apps for training for a 10k? Not just tracking times or distances but one that has a training program and tells you (over your headphones) to start running and stop running at predetermined intervals to build up your stamina. It needs to verbally tell me since I'm not trying to touch my phone while running!
I'm looking at, in no particular order:
I have a Fitbit but that doesn't seem to have a free training program.
I'll ask this tomorrow too since it is near the end of the day:
