All YouTubers suck the dick of NordVPN despite the fact that it is arguably one of the worst VPNs you can possibly choose if you're serious about privacy and not just memeing. They keep logs. Defeats the entire purpose.
It seems to be hidden. I have however checked the RSS and it shows up there. Follow this link and you can download it: https://anchor.fm/s/3b2be68/podcast/play/498839/https%3A%2F%2Fs3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com%2Fanchor-audio-bank%2Fstaging%2F2018-4-4%2FOur-First-Podcast-01ae5f3c89162.m4a
It's around 17mb.
Eh, depends what you are using a VPN for. If you just want to watch European Netflix, the fact they keep logs doesn't matter. Really the bigger crime here is implying that the average person needs a VPN service at all. They really don't. But clearly NordVPN throws around some big brand deal money, because everyone seems to push it without much thought.
I'm guessing it's going to be some kind of device that enables easy vlogging. He's been hanging out with people like Ben Brown (he's commented on like every single one of Casey's vlogs), Jerome Jarre, and even Karlie Kloss said she was starting a YouTube channel.
Casey said he loved google glasses, but hated the battery. On the desk in the office I believe there are several pairs of sunglasses. The other co-founder, Matthew Hackett, also is a software engineer and used to be VP of Engineering at Tumblr. I'd wager he's doing software stuff to help integrate into Casey's idea for hardware.
He recommended these books on Tim Ferriss' podcast a while back...

You can find this out for yourself fairly easily.
1) Go to google flights and search for roundtrip airfare, in business, from JFK to JKT on Qatar
You can play with the dates, but if you do it reasonably short-term it looks like around $8000. Note, you can fly business class for half that on Eva Air. While that won't involve Qatar's new A350, it's still a very nice product.
2) I'm not sure what hotel he was staying at, but you can search five star hotels in Jakarta fairly easily. Looks like even the nicer ones, like the Four Seasons, have rooms starting at $200/night.
So call it $10k all-in. If you fly economy, you can do the same trip for less than $1500 all-in, including staying in a very nice hotel.
I didn't see this comment before, but I also found one.
http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2015-DAT-Hot-Sale-Colorful-High_60238272398.html
it was $160 and they processed my order pretty quick. Plus like $160 shipping. I chose this seller because there was a button like "buy it now", but they wouldn't take paypal, just mastercard.
Let's see how it goes!
My guess is it will revolve around story telling by incorporating different media - pictures, tweets, video that easily can be edited and pushed out. I imagine something similar to slack but for social media instead of team communications.
He's just trying to push his kickstarter projects. Fortunately you can get this one on alibaba for $150 less and it should arrive from china before his april 2018 estimate...
Wow... I bought from the same link (except on Alibaba, here: http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2015-DAT-Hot-Sale-Colorful-High_60238272398.html) a week or two ago for over $100 cheaper. It went from $168+$169shipping to $268+$174 shipping.
there's no "social" aspect, it's just the camera functionality, but this was released September 2015. The Beme launch video posted in July 2015.
Fight hate with hate, apparently. This video is 13 minutes of pure hate spewing from Casey's mouth. Is it OK to hate because someone else hated on you first? Are you sure this isn't a face filled with hate?
On the bright side, this is one of the few Casey videos that isn't entirely an ad/sponsorship. Remember when Casey wouldn't upload for months, then upload a shitty video from California entirely to promote ExpressVPN? My hunch is that he'd do one of those obvious sell-out videos when he started to run low on money. I guess this is better than that.
You can use an application called Rodflash Video Screensaver (http://download.cnet.com/Video-Screensaver/3000-2409_4-10820531.html), which makes any video you select your screensaver. To get the video, you could use something such as Convert2Mp3 (http://convert2mp3.net/en/index.php), where you just have to paste a link and it will be converted to a downloadable video. My current screensaver is Casey's Life in 27 Seconds video ;)
Final Cut Pro.
He claims that he owes a lot of his success to the computer that he edited with, which was one of those iconic blue iMacs. He started with iMovie (and you can too, it's free), and has moved up to Final Cut.
And personally, I love Final Cut with a passion. It's simple, it works very well with Motion, and it's well made. If you want to start with a nice professional editor, I'd recommend DiVinci Resolve (free).

Isn't it common sense to be skeptical and doubtful of a book that proposes a generational historical framework? I mean before you even get to the cherry-picked historical data, the blanket narrative, and just the pseudoscience methodology, I can't take a book seriously that proposes that history has a 80 year cycle. I mean, come on. The YouTube comments of people saying that the video changed how they look at history is concerning.
"History repeats itself" is an objective true cliche. But anyone with common sense will tell you that's because mankind is the constant, rather than history projecting some divine order of the universe. It doesn't mean that you can fit history into a nicely formed 80 year box slots that you project your own biases in. You don't need to be an avid student of history to know this... Seems like common sense if you ask me. Pretty disappointed in Van N for this horseshit. For anyone who wants to read a good version of this book that doesn't try to conform history into some divine repeating slots, you should try "The Lessons of History".

>Yes that’s literally exactly $100% what I said.
Is it? I can't tell if your being satire or not. Either way it's dumb af.
>As for NordVPN, they hid that they were hacked and compromised users privacy. It’s not that they were hacked but how they dealt with it.
Nord vpn is one of the strongest vpns you can use, what kind of private information do they have? Your email address?
I don't see absolutely anything wrong with what you just said. It might be so many reasons why he's doing that and not only because of money issues. Besides, imho being sponsored by NordVPN along with such YouTubers like PewDiePie is cool and pretty big deal.
I made an android app that works like the beme camera. Hold the phone to your chest to start recording. Was a fun project to try and figure out how the technology worked.

if it's really worth it ... I might ...
A telescoping ladder. I've never used one but it's probably safe as long as you don't put too much weight on it or have it at too low of an angle where the pressure gets transferred to the middle instead of the feet.
Okay whatever maybe he's dirt poor, but he just spends a lot of money on some things. For example, the lens casey uses most of the time in the vlog is current for sale on amazon for $649, which is a fairly large chunk of cash. He's also purchased drones on a whim (the DJI phantom 3 costs $1,000), a few 17" MacBooks (the base model's of which are $2,00, though I would bet Casey gets at least $400 on upgraded stock models), as well as a made-to-build 17" macbook (highest end available are $3,200). He lives very near to his work, which for context is on the southern tip of manhattan, less than a mile away from ground zero. Rent for apartments in the area cost upwards of $7,000/month, as well as rent at what seems like a place with some very relaxed landlords considering how casey seems to drill through and into anything at a moments notice.
Yea he seems like he's hardly getting by honestly, those lenses are a real drain on his wallet.
clear plastic shoe boxes, added bonus you can actually see what's in them. There are many types and different lids, etc.
I've been using this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AJIZBWA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Typically you will to set your camera to one frame per second when using these glorified overpriced egg timers. Otherwise the footage is a bit jerky. If you are running a iPhone 6 or 6s I would recommend paying $5-10 for a good time lapse app to shoot in 4K. This will allow you to zoom in and out in post production and give you some really cool effects. If you use the iPhone camera app the highest quality is 1080p. The iPhone's camera app also adjusts the frequency of shots depending on how long you run the time lapse which is annoying.
Downside of the egg-timer style devices is all the cheap ones turn left. The more expensive ones that have more manual settings typically get negative reviews on Amazon.
Also, when using these devices you will want to make sure you provide a level surface. I use a gorillapod that has a level built in.
Amazon is your best bet. Search for camera case with belt loop etc.
I came up with a couple searching. Don't know where you're from so I found one on Amazon.com / Amazon.co.uk. I don't know if they'll fit the camera you have but I'm sure if you look you'll find something there.
This is something similar, I'd put some white laces on them to make them look more alike. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BKPTV4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_4SJ1vbBWSF7ZK
Edit: there are some recent threads about this, seems like you can get them in the uk
If anyone wants something similar to what Casey mentions at 1:51 (boot a computer OS from your phone) then you can do it on a rooted android phone with DriveDroid. It's very easy to setup and even just has buttons in the app which will just download the latest version of a specific linux distro.
He uses Nike: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nike.plusgps&hl=en
IMO, there are a lot of better running apps out there. I would recommend Strava or Runkeeper. They're all pretty similar, but some integrate and sync better with others. Nike tries to pin you down with their products.
