Not sure if it's the exact screensaver but something from Geiss might tickle your fancy?
Edit: Alternatively Really Slick Screensavers perhaps?
Edit 2: Ah, OP names it as Helios from that second site.
The hell you say. I've been using Really Slick Screensavers since 2001 or so. I've had Helios running on rigs ranging from an AMD K6-III/GeForce3 64MB to a Pentium IV/6800XT 256MB to a Haswell i7 4770K/7970 3GB and it's looked good on all them. :P
Relive the old days with the Starfield screensaver.
There's a version of it in the ReallySlickScreensavers collection, called Hyperspace, with more options. There are several other screensavers there as well, all very nice.
Then, for a more varied collection, there's Plane9. A fantastic screensaver with like a hundred options built-in.
Screensavers are a great way to get malware/viruses if you're not careful. At least, they were about 10 years back when I was still looking for them. I have several that I like and use. I'll link to them here. As always, user your malware scanners, etc, but I've used these for many years, and they seem to be trustworthy, in addition to being cool:
There's a decent little collection here. I especially love HYPERSPACE. The flying through space effect is great, but I discovered something really neat by playing with the settings. You can get some really fantastic effects, kind of like oil on water, or rippling satin sheets. I listen to music a lot, so when the screensaver kicks in after 4 minutes, I come back to a dual-monitor lasarium show, like the best plugins for WinAmp used to do.
Thought I'd share.
I would recommend saving some power and having your screen turn off.
But if you really want to use some power then try these: http://www.reallyslick.com/screensavers/
I know some people that like to use the photos screensaver with their own photos, that's quite cool if your computer is a desktop machine in a common place like a living room or kitchen.
screen saver or wallpaper?
Screensavers Planet has a lot, and it’s trustworthy.
If you’re looking for an awesome “remaster” of the Starfield Screensaver, I use this.
I saw someone post this not too long ago. Checked them out myself, they’re okay. Some interesting designs, but not really my thing.
From their FAQ, specifically question 7, it seems it might be an issue with the fact you're using multiple cards.
> Some users have reported working multi-monitor configurations with multiple graphics cards. Really Slick Screensavers does not specifically support this, but it appears that graphics drivers and Windows sometimes cooperate to make this work. Your mileage may vary.
Try with only the two monitors running on the RX480.
It looks similar to Helios from the Really Slick Screensavers but it's not. I'd imagine it's a new one that'll come with whatever version of the OS ships on that machine.
