I'm relatively sure that it's synthesis.

"THE SONG IN THIS VIDEO IS 100% COMPUTER GENERATED INCLUDING ALL MUSICAL INSTRUMENT AND THE SINGER"
EDIT: You're right. I just checked out the Vocaloid software and I noticed this on their home page.
>"The software synthesizes the sound from "vocal libraries" of recordings of actual singers, retaining the vocal qualities of the original singing voices to reproduce realistic vocals."
This? http://www.vocaloid.com/en/ It seems popular with anime folks I guess? I see "weeb" in the name so I guess this is a Japanese/anime thing.

Is this a virtual band thing? You want to produce music and use vocaloid for the singer and make them famous?

Cause.... well then you need to learn everything to do with production. Thats a massive undertaking...
The information is out there you just gotta put the time into learning it.
I know they recently released an english version, but (if I'm not mistaken) their main target is Japan. So there will probably be a few language barriers at some point.
I've seen/heard plenty of english vocaloid music well before Porter was doing it, so if it's something you're really interested in, go for it!
Well, the AI Vocal Synth War has become real.
Who will be the new vocal synth king?
The CeVIO AI samples sounds so freaking good, and that was almost two years ago, if all is gonna sound like this, I think we have a winner.
Also Neutrino, SynthV (AH-Software and surprisingly not Yukari) and NT (Crypton) are there.
Vocaloid:AI is not dead but I think now is a little behind and different approach .
If you don't know:
This product reminds me slightly of:
If you know nothing about any speech synthesized singers and are curious:
Thank you! It depends on the song. I will usually name the synthesizer and voicebank in its details, if I left any out, feel free to ask. The most common ones I use:

That's a very minor side-project for Vocaloid. The main product is http://www.vocaloid.com/en/lineup/vocaloid3/ and the girls you see here are mascots for the various voices. Miku also does "live" shows as a projection.
I am unsure as I do not use FL Studio, but I thought I would show you some things that are relevant.
Simple, yet it sounds neat.
Vocaloid, more info in the link
Vocaloid software is quite hard to master in my opinion, and it takes some getting used to; it is also fairly expensive if you actually buy it.
you could also go super oddball and use Vocaloid instead of your own voice hehe :)
Porter Robinson - Sad Machine uses one of those voices I believe.
Uhhh... Vocaloid and Japanese music (don't make fun of me okay). If you don't know what I'm talking about this is vocaloid, and this is a primary example of just how realistic they can get.
Other than that, I really like to listen to Lindsey Stirling's music. Her stuff really helps me think and come up with ideas for my stories. I listen to and like a couple songs from other bands, but I just don't have as much of it, and the above are my first choices.
I forgot about Nightwish. I like Nightwish too. Their stuff is pretty awesome for thinking about my stories.
If you’re looking for a cheaper one, than I would recommend Tohoku Zunko, she has a soft and beautiful voice (in my opinion at least). On the official vocaloid website she was only around $60
Here’s the link to her page on the vocaloid website:

Edit: If you’re looking for a voice bank that’s not extremely expensive and is loud-ish instead of soft, I would recommend Xin Hua, she has a Chinese voice bank as well as a Japanese one.
Here’s the link to her JP voicebank on the vocaloid website:

Here’s the link to her Chinese voicebank:

Keep in mind that on the vocaloid website you can listen to samples for any voicebank (that’s available on the website that is)
The Yamaha store has some discounts on the V5 software, and some bundles with extra VBs - http://www.vocaloid.com/en/news/2019_blackfriday_sale
Zero-G has 42% off their VBs (but they don't sell the editor), as well as offers on other software they offer, instruments etc - https://zero-g.co.uk/collections/black-friday-sale-2019-42-off-vocaloids
They're the two sales I'm aware of.
The new Volcaloid 4 Cyber Diva software is sounding real nice, they are smoothing out the English sound. It does not sound that bad, they are getting better.
Should have pointed out that for the Miku trial, you only get Piapro Studio, which is a VST plugin you can use to edit the vocaloid track in your existing DAW software. The official Vocaloid Editor is a standalone program for editing vocaloid tracks which can be used independently of a DAW.
It sounds a lot like a vocaloid. [Here's an example.] Hatsune Miku is another good example - she's a famous Japanese singer that actually isn't a human; only a cartoon character and a vocaloid.
Vocaloid is a program that lets you input words and a melody, and it will sing it for you.
:)
If you have to ask, the answer is probably "Nope".
Each voice library appears to run in the realm of $100 USD, however this page seems to imply there is a way to try it out first for free.
Vocaloid is a program that kinda works like sample instrument. It's supposedly not very good with english lyrics because the recordings are from japanese actors and actresses but Porter made it work in his Sad Machine song, and very good imo. Link to their website
