Hello, you have definitely understood the clarity of thought and overall efficiency that proper note-taking and organization of research would bring.
Coming to Weava we would love to better understand what features and functionalities you feel are missing. It is true that Weava had lacklustre development at the time of your writing (and for quite sometime before that) - but since June 1 we have worked day out and day in on improving Weava. In fact we are also happy to announce that we have just passed 350,000 users.
Since our goal is to improve our services, we would appreciate all feedback. We have recently put up a feature request portal for users to submit and vote on a feature request, so if you have got something specific in mind, let us know so that we can better ourselves. You can find the extension here https://www.weavatools.com/ All the best!

Hello! We would like to introduce you to Weava- a free Chrome extension that helps you highlight, annotate and save your findings under folders and subfolders of your choice. You can use the tool across websites and digital documents, and export your findings to other formats as well. This will enable you to read and take notes as you go about your work - and to see your respective highlights and notes when you visit the specific PDF or websites later.
But we would also like to acknowledge that we do not yet offer any OCR functionality for scanning PDFs (i.e turning it into text that can be highlighted). While a tag system is absent, Weava enables you to sort your highlights into folders. We also do not boast of a great search tool - at least not yet, but we are gradually improving.
In spite of all this, do try outWeava and let us know of your experience.

Hi Master's,
Marinara (and the pomodoro technique) is great, and we use it at Weava all the time- both in terms of actual work and also to break up our meetings. Another tool (a bit of self promotion here) that helps you stay organised and (to not go insane) is Weava, which helps you stay organised by being able to highlight, annotate and organise the internet (and PDFs) to help support your work, your research or perhaps hobbies you care about. It basically helps you organise by being able to highlight parts from any website or PDF, make annotations and organise it into folders- all within your chrome browser. It is easy to use and helps avoid any unnecessary tedious time spend on copying and pasting material into long unorganised documents- or simply forgetting about key materials you had read and got some ideas out of.
Weava is free to use and currently has over 150,000 users. You can learn more and download the chrome extension : https://www.weavatools.com/
Have a great day, and thank you for sharing the pomodoro technique with the community. We are sure it will help many here. Thanks.
We at Weava use Notion for our internal wiki, and Slack for internal communications. For our non tech task management, we use Trello. Beyond these traditional methods of approaching productivity and business management, the key is often to stay organised and save relevant information at the time of reading such and doing research. Using our product Weava, you can efficiently organise your research as it lets you highlight parts from any digital source (eg- websites, PDFs), make annotations and organise it into folders- which you can share with your employees. It enables you and your team to keep your research organised- instead of having to potentially waste time copying and pasting into long unorganised word documents or other tedious approaches.
