I'm using Anonine for more than 4 years. It was Sweden-based VPN but once Sweden becomes a part of 14 eyes they moved to Seychelles.
And I think it is better to use VPN on daily basis. Not because of 14 eyes, but because of assholes around, who want to steal your personal data.
It wouldn't surprise me if ASOIAF "ended" with the construction of a second wall, once the others were pushed back into the lands of always winter. Anonine's wall was created AFTER Hadrian's wall, after all...
I mean, I get that ASOIAF is loosely inspired by the War of the Roses (which was significantly later than 142 AD), but hey.
I don't know your country law, but if you are torrenting a lot, it's better to buy a VPN.
For example, in Germany, there is a piracy warning and a huge fine for seeding torrents.
Personally, I'm using Anonine VPN while torrenting. Never had problems.

The Swedish ISP Bahnhof offers a service called Anonine for about $7/month.
As far as I understand Anonine is basically an encrypted VPN-tunnel from the customer through Bahnhof and then to Anonine's servers. Since Anonine is a separate company from Bahnhof, Bahnhof knows who you are, but not what you are doing. And Anonine knows what you are doing, but not who you are.
Bahnhof has pledged to bill customers not using Anonine rather than those using it, when the Data Retention Directive becomes implemented in Sweden. With the Data Retention Directive, all internet service providers must store their customers traffic data for at least six months, but since it only applies to ISPs, Bahnhof would only store the encrypted, unusable, data, while Anonine doesn't store anything at all.
Connected, worked just fine, got paranoid, disconnected. I feel like I'm gonna be assassinated. What do
EDIT:
"Edit: It's owned, or at least hosted by a company called PortLane. There is next to no info about them on the Internet though. They are hosting 2 other VPN services which are alive ( and ) and one that is dead (DarkNetVPN). It's a very new company as well (like only a year old or so) so I don't have much confidence in them. They could just be data mining and then disappear."
in a tech forum
what the heck do I do now
Exactly. Both IPREDator and Anonine don't store any kind of logs so all they can give anyone asking for information about their customers is a kind "fuck you".
They're both Swedish 'tho, so if you're in the U.S. you might be a bit slower than usual. Here in Europe they deliver up to 30 Mbit outside of Sweden in my experience; it's probably a bit less over the pond.
Just looking to unblock Hulu for a year or so. ExpressVPN and NordVPN seemed good but apparently there's a lot of shady stuff going on. Anonine and Surfshark looks credible but I'm not sure they can unblock Hulu. PrivateVPN and VPN Unlimited doesn't seem that bad, but there still seem to be red flags. Thoughts on any of above or other providers?
I used PIA before and yeah sometimes that happens. Don't worry though it'll be working just give it a couple of hours. But hey if you wanna change your VPN why not try FrootVPn? or Anonine? or Nord? I switched to FrootVPN a while back because sometimes PIA is shit my brother on the other hand uses Nord. So yeah just switch it up.
I have not tried, (Nor Needed) with Flawless, but I do use Anonine VPN.. works fantastic. You can pick which country you want to connect to/from, probably over 50 to choose from. Works on Windows, Linux, Android Phone/Tablet
I use Anonine It's cheap and they don't log.
>Protection of Integrity
>The demand for anonymity is increasing rapidly due to a vast amount of new legislation and our team works hard every day so we can offer a service that protects integrity, anonymity and creates a secure browsing experience. The integrity of our customers is our top priority. All traffic that passes through VPN servers is strongly encrypted. We are government safe. We save no traffic data and store absolutely no logs. We offer anonymous surfing and our policy is to safeguard our users privacy.
I've heard of speed problems on BTGuard though, and this.
As for actual suggestions, I haven't actually gotten to getting myself a VPN but I'm planning too as soon as I decide on one. If you go on /r/VPN, there are some service providers that offers discounts for redditors (as seen on the sidebar), such as proXPN and PIA. Personally, I'm deciding between PIA, Mullvad, Anonine and IVPN. PIA is pretty cheap, Mullvad and Anonine are Swedish, and IVPN is in Malta plus they're an EFF sponsor. You should check out /r/VPN , maybe post there too, and decide for yourself.
EDIT: There's also Astrill, I find their add-ons pretty neat.
I use Anonine, a Swedish company with local servers. It uses VPN, and the idea is to encrypt all inbound traffic to limit the company's own access to the raw data. If authorities come knocking at their door with a subpoena, they only have the encrypted data to give... which NSA might still be able to decrypt, but I hope it would at least be a pain in their ass.
Swede living in NY here, I use Anonine: to watch restricted SVT content. It's 42 SEK per month for the standard option. It's nice and fast, never felt like I had to wait for streaming video to buffer.
I've been using Anonine for the last couple months. They are located in Sweden, don't keep logs, and my download speeds are decent. It may be a little slower than downloading over my regular connection but for the anonymity, I can be patient. So far, I have no complaints.
If you're going to torrent, I highly recommend you do something to mask your IP address. It's only a matter of time before you get a warning letter from your ISP or the FBI.
I use a VPN that makes me appear to be located in Sweden, where coincidentally the Pirate Bay is based. It's called , and it's $7 per month. There are no free VPNs that you should use. Being in Sweden can be a pain in the ass because a few navigation tools in Google wind up being in Swedish, but I love Anonine. They promise they don't keep any records of your internet traffic.
Basically, the point really is that if you get the right VPN, it won't matter what sites Optimum blocked, you won't get any complaints about your torrenting, AND your internet use won't be logged by your ISP.
Sorry to say this but your dad seems to be pretty fucked up.
If you're using Windows: Get ophcrack, get your admin password, pwn his software crap.
If you're using a Mac: Boot from your install CD, reset the user password, set up a fake account under your normal username, run a second session that looks as if you were using that and do your actual work on a hidden secret user. If you are in fact a Mac and don't know how to do this, send me a message.
Also, learn how to use the private browsing mode. Get a VPN (I recommend Anonine).
For the protocol: Using a VPN doesn't protect your privacy per se. Authorities can request logs about your activity under the IP you were using from a VPN provider just like they would do with an ISP. The twist about Anonine is that they, unlike most VPN providers, don't store any logs whatsoever. So don't use a random free VPN if you really care about your privacy, go for Anonine.
The best are the ones who doesn't save any logs. So if you are looking for a VPN, that's exactly what you should aim for. Regular popular paid VPN's that people are using are actually saving logs, and as such they have that info forever and are required to release it in case of police inquiries etc.
Anonine is one example of a VPN that doesn't save logs.
From 2018-2020, I used to access the NRK website through Anonine's VPN service. They have a Norwegian server.
My account has lapsed so I can't test if it still works. You could ask Anonine if they can try your video stream link.
Sorry, i have to: Marie Anonine didn't say those worlds. They belong to Marie Leszczyńska, grandmother of Marie Antonine's husband, Luis XVI. She was completely cut off from the world (literaly), locked in Versailles, surrounded by the people assigned to her, not friends who would tell her what the situation in the country was like. And after a failed initial attempt, she never meddled with politics. Her words: "Loneliness in Versailles is terrible; I would prefer to be in a convent. If it weren't for books and needlework, I wouldn't have endured it."
I love Anonine.
Have been with them personally for years. Never had one single issue. They allow port-forwarding as well. A pleasure to deal with. I use openvpn to use their provided config files, but they have a decent and user-friendly (idiot proof) app for Windows.
Hopefully I'm not misunderstanding, and you want a VPN just to secure the user's connection and not to utilize network resources onsite such as a Meraki or Sophos vpn.
I use Anonine VPN, or Premiumize for torrents. Primarily Premiumize. You can download the torrent to their cloud, and download from their cloud as a .zip. ISP could care less, or I haven't had any issues with it yet.
As for me, Nord VPN is too expensive. You can choose cheaper VPN.
I'm using Anonine. Mostly for Netflix US content. Probably Amazon works the same.
There are no connections to apple id. All my devices(iphone, ipad, windows laptop) connected throw my log/pass.

You should get a VPN if your government likes to censor the internet. I recommend Anonine.
Try inCloak it's not as good for gaming as inClock. For maximum privacy and web browsing though it's my number 1 pick since they keep absolutely no logs, don't ask for your name etc and accept bitcoin.
Har precis startat med Anonine
All good, I don't normally recommend VPNs too because it's something that needs to be a little personal in a way.. as in, try it out but be cautious.
I do advise to stay aware from Anonine too because they were too reluctant to fix the heartbleed issue.
I would think most vpns are ok for torrenting, as long as it doesnt state in their TOS or simular that they dont allow it. Maybe check out Ipredator and Anonine, or Airvpn. One that accepts bitcoins/paysafecard/cash as payment is probably the most safest bet. There are alot of vpn providers out there, do a bit of research (google it) before you chose, and you should be fine :)
Yeah man, it does switch to using Anonine automatically. But if Anonine disconnects it will go back to regular torrenting. It's worth using an app called VPN watcher which stops your torrents when your VPN disconnects.
Here you go buddy.
Personally, I chose Anonine.
The price is really good too, it's $5.28/month for 128bit PPTP, and $6.52/month for 2048bit OpenVPN. They also have cheaper prices if you sign up for longer periods.
I am fond of the Swedish VPN Anonine, it is recommended by Anonymous as it does not store log files. It is illegal to store these on Swedish servers. It costs me around $7 USD a month and does not slow me up at all.
Buy a VPN from Anonine, or some other provider. I prefer OpenVPN, but both solutions work.
Or if you have access to a unix server with an SSH account, you can use sshuttle
"arms tarding muslim pedo terrorist"--will have to remember that one. Anyway, Truecrypt is indeed overkill for the OP. However, they may want to use an encrypted container to store things like password databases, computerized banking information, etc. Also, a VPN is unlikely to be needed if you are only downloading torrents a few times a month. If you did any mid-to-long-term seeding, I would definitely reccomend a VPN (e.g. Anonine.
They offered Anonine additionally to your normal plan before and they actually OWN Anonine
