I jumped ship when they took the month view away. That's why I use a calendar for fucks sake, so I can plan out into the future, not just see what I'm doing this week. Give ACalendar a try, I actually like it better now; google calendar is going to have to do something a lot more amazing then a 7 day week to get me back. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar
aCalendar+ might fit the bill. Has calendar and to do lists, interface has a ton of functionality but still looks decent, works with whatever calendars your system offers (in my case, my Google calendars, and a bunch of CalDAV calendars synched through, for example, DAVx5).
Mind you, I don't think there's many (if any) apps that are gonna do the collaboration part for you, that's typically done using Google (possibly G-suite) calendars, or CalDAV (which requires a separate server, for example Nextcloud). CalDAV is a standard, not an app.
Not sure about the second item on your wishlist, but I used to really like the widget for aCalendar+, precisely because it is scrollable as a widget. It works using your Google Tasks lists so you can get those on the desktop if you need.
Ok, I wasn't sure how much Moto kept its stock apps in sync with the Google Play versions. I guess you could try a third-party app like aCalendar just to see if the issue is limited to GC.
I highly recommend aCalendar. Works well, looks good, highly configurable. You do need to have Google calendar installed as well, just disable the notifications on Google Calendar. The paid version supports tasks and even has a pretty slick work around to create repeating tasks.
Although it has no S Pen support, I enjoy using aCalendar on my note 4. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar
I haven't found the pen support in s planner to be particularly useful.
With whatever Calendar app you choose, there's always the possibility of using the handwriting to text feature of the S Pen.
When I used Android I used this calendar app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar&gl=US
FM via Davx5 will sync to it nicely, and I would get all my alerts from aCaledar
What is your device screen set to? And font size?
Have you already adjusted those to get larger text overall?
Depending on your literal device, the settings I'm referring to could be called something else.
Screen Zoom, Screen Resolution... Same thing, different names on different devices
Font Size, Text Zoom... Same thing, different names on different devices.
Now, to answer your actual question.
Have you tried aCalendar? Last I knew, it had configurable sizes and colors for everything.

I own aCalendar+, but haven't used it in years since I'm not that busy anymore.
Have you ever used aCalendar or Google Calendar. They have monthly view widgets.

Try aCalendar for Android, it syncs with the device and account calendars, and I've found it more customizable than alternatives.
If you are open to use another calendar app... aCalendar: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar
I have been using aCalendar for roughly 4-5 years now and even in its free version, it is more than enough. Seriously, it is awesome.

Did you ever find a good app? I just switched and I’m really missing my full month view. I used to use aCalendar https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar&hl=en_US, on android but can’t find any well designed ones on iOS.
I started using aCalender ~~for it's todo list which has reminders~~ then ended up buying aCalender+ because I liked it so much which gave me access to the todo list.
Edit: So sorry, u/pangea_person has pointed out that the todo list seems to only be in aCal+. I must have been using the free version as just a calendar then bought it for the todo.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you want but I have multiple gmail accounts and I see all of my calendars tasks etc, on the one calendar.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar for search and a better ui than the Google app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rdr.widgets.core for the agenda widget.
I'd recommend a custom calendar though /u/leaveinsilence
Google Calendar is okay bit apps like aCalendar are much better imo! :)
I just use aCalendar: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar&hl=en_GB
It gives a good 7 day view: https://lh4.ggpht.com/d26pY9M1TorxBmO4FyURA59DiF_3pwVnfFrtJjQ7sGdEAFrD2_1EfZjtRFjHT-Pg0Ss=h900
Pushbullet – for sending yourself files and notes between your devices (eg. pushing a file from your computer to the phone)
From Google apps: Google Keep (!!!), Photos, Gmail, Chrome, YouTube, Translate, Maps, Pay, Google Clock (for morning alarms), News
TickTick for managing your tasks
Root apps: AdAway, Titanium backup, substratum for theming
An app for ordering food from many restaurants, eg. PizzaPortal in Poland
If you sometimes order something from Aliexpress, then you could use their app.
Hoping this list gets smaller as I switch more to foss apps...

Try ACalendar
aCalendar / aCalendar+ are very good. They use the Google calendar service and never crash in my experience.

Try aCalendar : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar
Using caldav in aCalendar: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar
I use aCalendar with a few options to snooze, from 15 minutes to 1 hour and a half.
Acalendar. Multiple widget options. Works great and looks excellent.

That's the event list or agenda view in most calendars. Try these:
aCalendar can do that
A Calendar has Canadian holidays. I'm pretty sure you can set up notifications.
You can try the aCalendar app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar
It also has great widgets
aCalendar has some very nice widgets including tasks and also syncs with Google.

Check out aCalendar
It has quite a bit of customization and even has a great home screen widget that shows your upcoming events. It's as close as I could get to WM live tiles.
On a sidenote, it also works great with SquareHome if you really want the WM look. Also, add the Fluent Icon Pack for Win10 icons and it's pretty much dead on for a windows phone.
