Pay the price as it 5 bux just for the Chromecast license . Works like a charm.
Try the demo just limited in timed usage . One of the best apps and works foawlessly
Does AirReceiver works better for you than AirScreen? I'm currently trying to decide if to purchase AirReceiver or AirPinPRO. Anyway I won't purchase AirScreen since it's not a one-time payment. From my experience all these apps has pretty similar performance, and the main problem is latency, especially when trying to AirPlay high quality videos, even with high speed network. That's why I'm considering buying Apple TV streamer. But it feels silly to buy it only for AirPlay. I'm really enjoying my Chromecast with Google TV, has everything I need, except a decent AirPlay capability.
I use AiReceiver

It works reasonably well for me. Never have issues with streaming music, and Screen Mirroring my laptop works decently well.
Have not heard them planning to do so. Howverver, there's a ton of apps that emulated airplay perfectly and without a hitch on the store. I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softmedia.receiver&hl=en
There are apps for both android and iOS that let your phone act as a AirPlay or DLNA Receiver and do exactly what you want.
Edit:
Tuneblade will let you send audio from your computer to airplay (and to your phone via one of the above apps).
Theoretically, any tablet that can run the Oculus app should work, though I have found that casting to the app on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (Android 11) can be very finicky.
I've gotten it to connect properly a few times in the past and it worked fine but it took a number of attempts. I tried for a bit just now and was only able to get the audio to cast, with the app returning to the main screen instead of showing the video. It's not very reliable.
I have had a far more straightforward and consistent experience simply using a third party Cast receiver app, such as AirReceiver (Lite) or AirScreen. When running, the receiver app will simply be listed as a Chromecast device in the headset.
You could also cast to a browser on the tablet, though without the full aspect ratio.
I use this with my Android Tv. Works like a charm

Download from the Amazon App store or sideload the APK. A free trial version is available.
AirReceiver. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softmedia.receiver
In case you have friends or significant others who uses that other platform and want their airplay to work.
(It will, and better than androids...)
Apart from that, no idea about kodi. I'm a plex lifetime user :)
