Another link with unsubstantiated claims. Nice. The link you sent me is marketing to try and get you to download their app
Lol.
If you are trying to be a grammer nazi, lets have a look at your grammatically incorrect sentences.
> You are correct it does not, I will link a separate article that does but hey at least you're not coming of narcissistic or anything
The above sentence is a Run-on sentence that is composed of 3 separate sentences. I will correct it for you as you seem to need help with writing the English language. The first two sentences are shown below.
"You are correct."
"It does not."
There are several issues with the next sentence. So lets have a look. > I will link a separate article that does but hey at least you're not coming of narcissistic or anything
You have incorrectly spelled 'off' and instead spelled it as 'of'. You did not punctuate your sentence either. Here is a cleaned up version.
"I will link a separate article that does but, hey, at least you're not coming off narcissistic or anything."
I wouldn't include 'hey' as it breaks the flow of the sentence and diminishes the readers respect for the author.
If you are going to criticise another poster's grammar, make sure that your grammar is correct. Otherwise, you come off as being a hypocrite.
> It's machine vision.
Well, what else is augmented reality ;) ? If the computer can "map/understands/see" the environment, placing dinosaurs on the sidewalk or a table is trivial. The visual recognition is the most difficult task. By the way, have you seen the demo where Google Lens recognizes the objects shops and shows "augmented info" about that shop according how you move with the phone? But if you think about augmented reality as placing dinosaurs on a table, that's already in play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ar.augment&hl=en
Cardboard isn't really necessary to experience VR and 3D modeling, maybe cheap tablets would be a better solution?

It sounds like any AR (augmented reality) apps would allow you to do this. There's hundreds theses days https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ar.augment
Its a 3D AR app .. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ar.augment
I like the idea! A quick googling got me this, but I don't know much.
There has been augmented apps on Android phones for many years. Here is one of them: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ar.augment&hl=en I am kind of in the VR/AR stuff for many years, so, if somebody tells me that Apple is bringing something new to the game and is even changing the game I just smile ;)
And by the way, why is suddenly not funny to hold 10" iPad with the camera in front of you? I thought it was funny a while ago? Why doesn't the small FOV aka 5 or 6 inch iphone display bother people. Or is it just the FOV of HoloLens? :) And don't forget the gorilla arms, of course.
