Hey! So, don't trust ATT 5G coverage map, they call 5G Evolution aka LTE+ as 5G. But what you will actually see on your phone is 5G+ - this is a real 5G. Regarding coverage, it's on the back side of the City Hall. I went there first time, no 5G. Came back in 10 minutes - got 5G. So just spend more time there, waiting or maybe rebooting your phone, it should work. Regarding coverage, use this app. It shows 5G coverage in dark blue hexagons. Also, attaching exact location of where I was standing. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootmetrics https://maps.app.goo.gl/DuerFyjjnx7YVdc99
T-Mobile / Sprint maps are more up to date. I think it's the Root Metrics app that takes data from phones and isn't just a guess you could download that and check it in your area.

You can use this app to judge what carrier has better service in your area. I looked with it around cape cod mall and places where there was little service and att or verizon are the best carriers. You could go with either. With consumer cellular you can choose between att or tmobile. You get an aarp discount. You can choose how much data you want to use. Redpocket only allows you to make payments on one device at a time. Consumer cellular allows 2 .
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootmetrics This app by RootMetrics relies on crowdsourced data from real devices and may have data in the market you want to see.
Also, Ookla does US Mobile Reports that tell you what the fastest carrier in each of the the top 100 cities in the US is according to their testing.
As a recently ex Telecom employee in the tri-cities, I second u/leglmich comment. It's also true for the whole tri-cities area. Verizon by far the best, followed by AT&T, T-maybe, and Sprint.
Root metrics is a great (fairly) unbiased look at carrier coverage in call, text, and data

They also have a great app that works better than the site on mobile

"Coverage map" app by root metrics for Android.
remember Fi uses Sprint, T-Mobile, and now US Cellular. reliability is really good. But still subject to the pitfalls of all mobile carriers. My phone doesn't work if I'm in a metal building or in an area with no coverage. Check the coverage maps for those carriers, or download the coverage map app and browse their ratings of carriers in your area.
>I'm not a huge believer in data maps either. I take them with a grain of salt.
As you should, the maps themselves have little *s that indicate not actual representation.

I second this notion.
Your best bet will definitely be using crowdsourced network data from the subscribers themselves.
I've never used the above but I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootmetrics
Great idea! I agree.
Rootmetrics has a Coverage Map App for iOS and Android which I highly recommend using.
iOS: Download
Android: Download
Using this App updates the Rootmetrics Map: http://webcoveragemap.rootmetrics.com/en-US
You can also enable background data collection under the App settings. This maps and updates the “Best Technology Found” Layer of the Map.
You can also manually run speed tests (Single or Continuous) in the App which maps and updates the “Fastest Speed Found” Layer of the Map.
