Can you try slightly pressing the lens?"
Did you buy it sim free, or on contract etc etc?
Also if on contract or whatever - which network?
The policies vary depending. Generally speaking - Samsung are meant to have a 3 or more dead pixel policy on their amoled phones. So you should be able to swap it regardless. Depending on how you bought it (contract, payg, sim free), and what network, they also offer a no quibble 14 day swap policy - meant for a different handset, but I see no reason why they won't swap for the same. If they are being arsey, just swap it for a different colour. Hehe. :)
Anyway - try this app first. They may just be stuck or whatever. Works for many people. Saves you the hassle of the return:-

Yea, it is indeed screen burn-in, screen burn-in happens due to the OLED screen used on the G5 but that's another topic, it's really visible with your brightness up all the way. If you keep the brightness under 50% it should be a lot less noticable. It's been an annoyance to me at the start but I've gotten used to it, my dead pixel on the other hand is a lot more annoying.
Also if you want to get rid of the screen burn-in try using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.chris.blackspotdetect It will cycle through various colours which can make screen burn-in go away, it usually is used to get rid of stuck pixels but I use it mainly for the burn in. Hope I could help!
--Edit--
If you want to avoid this in the future, make sure not to keep bright images or any static thing on your screen to long. Example, if you are chatting with a friend, make sure to turn the screen off until you are ready to type again, this might seem like a hassle, well it is. But it will keep away the burn-in.
They didn't say it's dust, just my thought on what it may be. They told me to use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.chris.blackspotdetect&hl=en which is for detecting and maybe fixing actual dead pixels in the display. They seem to be confused of the issue.
Then they passed me to a tech and they wanted me to download a 500MB rom. I already flashed the OxygenOS rom hoping it would fix it, it didn't. I've used 3 different camera apps. I'm pretty sure it's either dust or hardware issue. Oh and on top of this issue, a few times I've noticed vertical bands on the display flickering. I think I got a bunk device, but their support is kinda off putting. 15 emails back and forth and I still don't have an RMA and now they want me to take the phone apart and take pictures of the inside, to verify my warranty. Even though I just bought it, and they should be able to verify it with just the IMEI, or my invoice from 5 days ago. zzz
It's the 16GB white model if that accounts for anything. Not sure if the two models have a tendency to have particular issues to them specifically.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.chris.blackspotdetect that one? gonna try this, hope it helps :) thanks for the idea <3 they say it's recommended to leave it for 6 to 12 hours ;o
